- A few weeks ago I stayed at the Hollywood Hotel.. This hotel is a total gem located in the heart of Hollywood. Honestly, I can't believe it took me so long to get it on my radar... it's really a special place!
If you’re traveling to LA and are looking for a budget-friendly place in a convenient location with some cool Hollywood history, this is the hotel for you. And if you’re local to Los Angeles, it’s is so worth a visit, both as a staycation destination or a nightly visit to their downstairs bar, Route 66 Bar,, that hosts comedy and incredible date vodka martinis... 🍸 Yup, they’re pretty tasty!

You may want to check the Hollywood Hotel out again or ask to see more rooms. We just stayed there. The fountain is empty and crumbling, only one side of the stairs is usable and that is iffy. The room was dark and dingy. We were never shown the courtyard or the patio with the view. The bathroom looked nothing like that. As a matter of fact it was a stall with a little opening for the door with a curtain. It had so much slime on the bottom that it could not be cleaned off enough to stand without holding on to the walls, and the rubber lining of the shower floor was torn and coming up. It was old and dark and dingy all the way around with the worst service I have ever experienced. Im sure it was nice, when you reviewed it, but for the sake of your subscribers, who depend on your guidance, you should take another look.
Totally agree…just left there after staying for 5 days, still not sure why I didn’t leave sooner…a real mess. Super 8 quality.
I thought I was the only one…. The rooms are old and outdated, everything was dirty, from the lobby, to the fountain, to the garage, a lot of homeless in hang out across the street too
I loved that hotel already in the 90s when I was there four times. At that time it still was a Ramada. - Happy people being able to stay there! :)

Great question. No, although they do try to have a bit of inspiration from it!
Another dud of a tinseltown hotel. Rock hard bed was OK by me, but wife hates all beds. Never found one worthy of sleeping in twice. Deal breaker for me was curtains failed to darken room at all. Desk clerk said he could not help. Hands tied by mgmt, blah blah blah. Went down sunset to nearest Home Depot and bought black plastic sheeting and duct tape. Turned room into cave. Asked front desk for discount for my material cost. Told to go pound sand. Will post bad review on Yelp, etc.

Did not like this hotel at all.. they did not treat us well.. we stayed 1 og total of 5 nights. The bed was hard as a rock and the room smelled like a boys lookerrom back in 3th grade.
