I love your videos. You inspired me to get a sewing machine. I finished my first dress the simplicity 9701 I believe it was and wore it today. Starting my next project tonight. I’m definitely a beginner and will right down the McCall patterns for when they have a sell again.

Lawn and batiste are fine smooth plain cotton. Not twill. Much thinner than poplin. Suitable for tops and nighties. I live in a city that has very hot summers. I made myself a nightgown that is gathered just above the bust and has shoestring straps. Lovely to wear.
