Yes this is our story!:) We gave up our beautiful careers to pursue a new voyage. I haven’t told this yet in the show but during that time we searched a boat, I watched a lot of @svdelos old shows and I got really inspired of their story and how the ordinary people are so daring crossing oceans. And how big the pay off is after being courageous... So I knew if they can do it, I can do it too!:) And then we got a bigger sailboat and our adventure started too⛵️
You guys have put a great channel together. Genuine people, informative, funny. I keep coming back to it and hope you keep it up! I’ve got a Pearson here on the southern tip of Lake Michigan and while it’s old (‘68), it’s built strong!
Great work guys love your vids especially the rebuild ones and the in depth way you explain them . Hope you get your next big boat soon and looking forward to all the hard work coming. Doesn't matter what boat you own there are always going to be boat jobs to be done ;-) Good luck and Cheers from Down Under.
Great episode! I wish we knew you were going to "The "Dena". My wife is from Pasadena and we still live near Annapolis. We would have loved to take you dinner or something. That boat has tons of potential but I see three years of DIY if your still working a day job.
Hi Charles! Thanks would have loved to meet up- thanks just the same! ..maybe there is some way we can share contemporaneous itineraries in the future-love the Chesapeake area!!! Yes the Alpa needs..love the flush deck on deck but below it feels like your in a bucket! Looking forward in the next episode the plot thickens-Helen is editing now. Thanks for joining us along the way, keep us posted- Thanks Ted
Yes, she is an awesome beautiful Estonian chick, (the dolphin agrees) and you've got some boat and sailing experience on a larger boat it seems. Great to find you two, going to be fun. I've not seen the entire cockpit floor ripped out before but your right, its gotta go and that might be complicated. This is going to be fun.
Thank you so much, we actually packed u-haul and drove to Florida to make work 41 ft center cockpit double ender. There is almost no information about this boat anywhere. But she is beautiful:)
During New York Fashion Week, sound guy name Brian recorded Ted directing the show and mixed it for fun and made a song. 🙃😃 Ted has his own way directing live shows and people found it fascinating.
A $70,000 refit minimum. But good design and good bones although it is surprising a quality builder would use plywood for the cockpit floor. If there is one place where water will gather it is the cockpit. This couple with several penetrations for drains, the pedestal , etc the odds of water damage are high. Major project and a lot of work. Meanwhile you are not sailing. Good choice to walk unless you were dying to do a project.
It all depends on whether you want to be a sailing channel or another refit channel. I think I'd stick with what I got and go sailing. Wait until I found a deal I couldn't pass up.
Hey! We still have her and we don't plan to sell her. We just want to live aboard on a boat that has a bit more space for us, equipment, water, fuel and stowage to sail around Central America:)
Tough audio on this one. The boat looks like quite the project. Offer less than half of what the asking price is, if you're up for that big of a project.
Yes, sorry about that. I was filming it by iphone just in case to have it if I can convince Ted to become RUclipsr with me 💁🏼and the diesel odor in the boat was so bad we had to put a fan. Helen
Good thing you passed on this one.
I enjoy your adventures very much!
Looking forward to getting to know ya'll
I dig it mates.. that is great... keep em coming...thx for sharing your journey ,.. cheers !
Thank you so much! It is definitely adventure of the lifetime 😊⛵️🇪🇪
Hey nice fashion segment song! lol
Thank you Brian for your beautiful musical creation. You are super talented music producer... when great minds come together lol.
Enjoyed watching this, think you looked 🤓that boat over pretty good!Good to learn a little history from you both too 👍

Congrats Ted for the engagement! Keep up the good videos! We miss you back in NYC.
Thanks!!! Miss you guys:)
My God, get off that bout B 4 ya talk yourself into actually buying it!!! Ha! Just making my way through you older episodes. Just recently subbed.
Right!!! We heard from a viewer that the Alpa sold, glad she found a new home :)

Wow! You guys! Happy Independence Day Estonia 🇪🇪!
In the mid seventies I had a Sparkman and Stevens weekender 37 it was awesome

Hey, you are spot on! Thanks for the support! If it wouldn't for great sailing shows we probably would not be sailing ourselves.

Wow this is amazing and what was that funny fashion remix song in the intro ? lol

Could be a very cool boat with a few months work
Looks like it needs a full refit to make it a nice boat again. Move some of the interior around to make it suit you and she will be good.
Great SailBoat data on her..no doubt.
It is getting exciting! Did you get the boat?
what a beautiful melody at minute 3:35, what is its name?🙏🏻🌱❤🌈
Artist is Valentinsosnitskiy "60s acoustic solo"... I am not sure if this artist is in RUclips:)
Helen
Hello guys
Its Eddie and Roberta
Hi Guys! How are you? Hopefully life treats you well in these uncertain times. We made together loading oysters fun:)
Happy Independence Day from Poland! Are you taking Alpa 42?

Excellent advice-
..there are plenty of boats on the sea:)
The view - concrete & steel ? 😅😂😅
Most magical breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. We have taken so many photos. It was such a beautiful life we had to leave behind.
I just came back from the march --- by STS? That is what they kept saying does that mean anything to you?
Hei! Happy to hear from you. How is life?
@@SailingLiberty life is good. It is tree chopping down season.... But this spot of bother in the Ukraine has put the place in a certain mood.
Your fixing to get into a five year refit on a boat that size 😂
Right now it seems I either fix a boat, drink wine, clean the boat, drink wine, fix some more and drink again😒😄 Can’t wait to sail! 🌞⛵️
OMG did you sell Hokahey? You talk about her like you speak of a long lost love (like I do with my Triton). Tell me it ain’t so…!
Hey! We still have her and we don't plan to sell her. We just want to live aboard on a boat that has a bit more space for us, equipment, water, fuel and stowage to sail around Central America:)
Most things can be sorted if the price is right but that deck looks very concerning
The cockpit deck is punk..I could have ripped the wheel et all right out of that deck!
A lot of work on that baby! 🤔

mine is 55
Alpa? Big boat!!!
😂do NOT purchase this boat, just say’in I’m keeping an eye on ya Mattie ……..Thanks for the great vids! Keep um com’in RSE
25 hp maybe
audio volume sucks.
Feel free to use subtitles if you have trouble hearing.
Not a good boat if it was free
Tervitused Eestist! =)
Terrible boat. $1.00 is probably too much to pay.😒
We got a letter that someone bought her and fixed her up. She looks beautiful sailing on the ocean but she was not for us.
