I grew up then...when you see videos from back in the 70's the girls were always smiling to strangers anyone....there is none of that anymore......I one time picked up two girls hitchhiking at the entrance to the interstate drove them to the next exit but stopped an got burger and ate with them it was a different time...and place back then.
@dojocho oh ya. That is so true. In 1990 I hitched from Vermont to Memphis and only got picked up by one two smiling babes in about 50 rides. One nice blond older than me wanted to not show up to work in Tennessee and head out with me all the way to California but alas her and her Datsun 380zx were too caught up in the times as was I. In the seventies I would have gotten a fun ride and no doubt the best sex with an American girl one could dream of. A penthouse fantasy if you will. I gave it the old college try at least. 😊 The whole way to Memphis hardly anyone played driving music. But I guess the conversations were good enough for the people who picked me up. It was tough.
My taste in music tends towards harsh, loud, hard, aggressive and grating but this song has always been a favorite of mine. Never heard this mix before...love it.
Man, older cars obviously deserve their reputation and status, but engine and turbo technology, as well as many other aspects have improved almost exponentially. We're in the golden age of hot rodding, no doubt. Just sayin'.
2 bad the ending of the video is s ty, what s up with these money pits cars, except the Nissan, maybe, where is an Evo, is more fun 2 drive and got stellar reliability
The band founder explained this in an interview. This song is about a break-up. It means everyone individually owns the process of moving on. You can be the best you can be and for this there is no elite Get in the driver's seat.
Yep, I'm still listening to every version in 2024. Anyone else still here?
Yep!

This is legit one of the coolest songs ever recorded. Shame it disappeared for so long.
Yeah one of the greatest tunes ever. Hi from Melbourne Australia
If you were not an Aussie I would probably reply.
Outstanding Late 70s Song never gets old to hear it 😎

Love this song. My band did a Black Metal version for warm-ups in the studio.
Very nice man 👍
This song I think Radar Love same time, I'm speeding into a new 🆕 Sunrise 🌄. Volfgong Amedaus Jack of Diamonds AKA Mac The 🗡️🛡️ Knife 🗡️ 🛡️
Awesome rendition, along with beautiful women and hot cars. I may have stated that last phrase, backwards. Lol...
Agreed. The cars were beautiful and the women WERE hot🔥👍
😎🎧🎶🎵🎶💃🧝♀️
Strangely , 370z looks a lot more fun and invigorating than the Maybach cabriolet. just too much and i would fear anyone touching it 😂
Mercedes looks like a car Cary Grant would pull up in
I like how many Jennie's showed up
"Driver's Seat is so great that even my easy piano cover sounds good, check it out!!! 😉💥🎹
Car should have been a 78' trans am with the tops off.
Ladies and four wheels 🤠
The women may be good for a night....but those cars are happiness every day for life!
Who's doing long haul interstate in a truck here...
It’s kinda like Marcus nimbler, light.
All this modern car shit in the videos put old cars in this video cuz this song was made in the 90,s
Another idiot who eats its own shit and calls it caviar.

I would have liked older cars better too.
I'd put an old car body on a new chassis.
it was made in the 70's
2 bad the ending of the video is s ty, what s up with these money pits cars, except the Nissan, maybe, where is an Evo, is more fun 2 drive and got stellar reliability
A one hit wonder
…..but, what a hit it was!!
Intro too long
You need to kick it in..
Andrew farting on jade green leather chair when he was 7 years old on cruise ship
