Girlllllll... I invested in ritual de fille when they had their 50% off sale over the summer. The only thing I didn’t get on sale was the eye soot and the packaging is TERRIBLE. I absolutely hate it and fall out goes every where but it’s absolutely gorgeous. The concealer and blush are bomb. I think the disconnect comes from the general aesthetic with clean beauty bumped up against their aesthetic. They are VERY editorial. And I think the product line is a pro line too. It’s like Pat McGRATH meets a coven under a full moon
was very on the fence but reading Pat McGrath (I only own 1 item but its a matte lipstick and my fav lipstick ever) meets a coven under a full moon has pretty much sold me.
I was looking for a good RDF review and found this video, and I'm so freaking glad I did. You're the only person I've seen so far who's tried to actually tone the products down and show what they can look like on a day-to-day look instead of editorial. Also you're very genuine.
I have loved these little eye soots. My favorite color is Love Spell. It has amazing staying power and doesn’t crease on me. Never had fallout. I think you have to sheer it out more
I think the expectation to “have to” do anything with a $38 single shade of eyeshadow is ignoring the fact that there are a zillion better ways to spend your money. I said what I said!
Kackie Reviews Beauty oh for sure! It’s fun to see each person do their thing but I just wanted to say how I used it with the hope that it would help. ✌🏽
Thanks so much for reviewing this brand - it's personally my favourite with the exception of Kjaer Weis. I'm a bit of a makeup minimalist in terms of what I buy and your reviews have helped me SO much in making my choices - you turned me on to Kjaer Weis - best thing that has ever happened in my makeup world. I'm a mature woman and I don't go for any of the RDF glittery products, but I have found that if I choose my shades and textures very carefully (and buy during discount sales ;-) they are rewarding staples with a twist of special magic. The Ash & Ember Eye Soots are my favourite eyeshadows ever, by a long way (I think you look awesome with Golden age on your lids - but it is probably the crumbliest of the bunch!) I treat them like a much loved everyday piece of jewellery, so they are worth the investment for me - Half Light is my most loved - goes on super easy with a stubby synthetic brush, no fall out and lasts all day with no creasing. That's on a completely cream face as I have super dry skin ( I use the Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation as a primer). I also have the blush in Delirium and use it almost everyday. I'm going to try the Veil Concealer after seeing this - thanks again. P.S. A little tip if anyone thinks they will never get through one of these eyeshadows - put half of it in a little pot (save your used up RDF pots) and give it to a friend - recycle and share the love :-)
Hi Louise 😊 wondering about your thoughts on the rare light creme luminizers. Also how do you find the shelf life. Being they are a little pricey I’m just trying to make an informed decision. I have been luuuuuusting over those highlighters for almost a year but there isn’t a lot of reviews on them. Thanks 😊
I really like Rituel de Fille-- I have their concealer, highlighter, blush and lipstick. The blush in Desire is a really cool purple, which was so intriguing to me and works so well on my light olive-toned skin. The finish is matte. The highlighter in Phosphene is my absolute favorite! It looks like a pearly pink, applies so easily and sort of melts over time where I apply it, making me really glowy but doesn't contain any glitter or sparkles. I like their kind of witchy aesthetic which is really unique, I think. Their lipsticks are a bit too dry for me, I have the one in Carnal that I like to mix with lip balm. Overall always pleased with their products! Thanks for your review Kackie!
I have light olive skin as well and I love desire. Everything pulls orange on me so mauves never turn out mauve on me. desire is one of the few blushes that stays mauve on me
"yeah, I kind of think I may have done too much there, let's just do too much on the other cheek and see what happens." Me, every day, overloading my face with blush.
I am a definite fan of RDF. The blushes, lippies, and soots are so pretty. I love that you used a bright blush and showed how lovely it actually is applied with a beauty sponge.
I think much of the appeal of Rituel de Fille is that it all seems like Magical Ground up Potion Ingredients and Space Dust... At least that vibe is the appeal to me. Sometimes it's good to remind myself I'm not Harry Freakin' Potter and shouldn't just throw my money at everything that looks ethereal or apothecary-esque. Still, I may take your recommendations into account next time I'm making a purchase on Credo!
Im a singer in a band so the fact that this line offers such esoteric interesting colors excites me so much! When i perform or take pictures i want the makeup to be expressive art
Been interested in this brand for a while so thanks for reviewing! I agree those little thimble sized pots are the literal worst. Wish they came in a wider sized unit like an RMS kinda way which would make application easier. I disagree on lack of natural colors, the shades Anima, Sigil and Divinus are all perfect for that depending on skin tone. Would really love to see a little Marc Jacobs-esque palette from them!
I love this company, very unique!! You have to admit, they do their own thing and have their own style and vibe. My first product was their thorn oil primer and its the best makeup primer I've ever used. They are a little pricey, but the products I've tried are great, a little goes a long way, and they have excellent customer service...one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had really. I pick a few favorites and don't have a huge range of their products but I do love this company and the thorn oil primer is definitely worth trying
smog was my favorite eyeshadow ever. i used it up and chucked the palette it was in because it was old. i loved smog so much and i've been eyeing golden hour...i'm so happy that you said that.
I got a sample of the serpent de mer shade and it is gorgeous but the initial application looks kinda messy but I just left it because I wasn’t going anywhere and they wear in beautifully. It like it fixes itself
Got drawn in by the crazy glitteriness of the celestial sphere eye soots about a year ago now and had to go through a MASSIVE learning curve to find a way to use it - as it stands I use it really very often as a massively sheered out wash of spaced out tiny glitters across my whole eye, really pretty and quite subtle, they only shine in certain lights (I have the yellow one called fornax)
I've researched their highlights a lot and tried three of their highlights and believe that Phosphene is the most normal highlight they carry, it's a really pretty warm champagne color.
I have the Ash and Ember Eye Soot in Half Light (a really pretty satin taupe). Even with my small fingers and short nails, it’s a pain to get out of the packaging. I’ve also sampled the shade Sigil (a warm shimmery champagne that feels a bit coppery on my fair skin). They’re both gorgeous and pretty wearable colors for me. I just wish the brand would sell half the product in a better package and charge half the price. The average person doesn’t need that much eye shadow to try and go through in 12 months.
Please "tutorialize" us-- that last video was great and super informative! So if I remember correctly, the celestial eye soots are more of a gel formula than the ash & ember eye soots. I've tried most products from the brand and I think where they truly shine is with the cheek pigments (not so much the highlighters) and their lip products. The lip & cheek products are actually eye safe as well, so they're fun to use for monochromatic looks! I particularly LOVE the cheek pigments in Lust & Eros. They make for a great contour/blush situation for fair girls. They forbidden lipstick in Carnal is also my go-to fave for soft monochromatic looks with a blurred lip & soft creamy eye color. I hadn't seen much talk about their concealers so I really enjoyed your thoughts on it!
@@janebarnette6548 yes! I have the shade swarm & it is a definite favorite. I usually warm it up on my finger before applying to make it application a tad bit smoother
Your eyes look beautiful. I love the eye soot in Viscera. It is a red that looks great on every eye color. Another plus, if you like her, I read it’s A fave of Lisa Eldridge
The eclipse shade from them is my absolute fave!! It looks so intimidating but is beautiful and surprisingly versatile! Btw if you sign up for their emails they do a big discount or special product on the days of the full moon. Last one was half off the eye soots!
Sara Marie thank you for this!! I’ve been trying to figure out if they ever do sales and there wasn’t a whole lot of information out there. I just can’t bring myself to shell out so $38 for a blush if I don’t know that I love the formula, ya know??
I haaaated the concealer when I tried it! It was so waxy, streaky, and sat weirdly on my skin. I also cant get a good color match in their range. I was baffled because so many people seem to like it.
Too late my dear Kackie, I already buy a bit of everything, and honestly I’m loving it 🥰 for some reason my skin drinks the oils lol and settles nicely without powder, and when I said I bought a bit of everything I meant I got 4 blushes 🥴😳
The way you used the ash and ember eye soots was the problem, they are super high pigment and some are more powdery than others. I have found that the best way for the shades like this one is to put some on the back of your hand, rub it a bit to get the texture smooth and then use a finger or brush with very little on it to apply it.They do not have fallout when used this way. I am super pale like you and i use the colours anima, sigil (this is the colour that you would love as it is that perfect champagne), and cultist as a soft liner and to darken the outer cnr. They are my everyday face. I have not used the other type as thy are a gel but again they are meant to be used super sparingly and they do lend themselves more to showy looks i think.
Thank you for this video! I was very interested in the Black Orb eyeliner so I'm grateful for the review! Have you tried their Inner Glow Creme in Intuition? It's supposed to be a cool-toned contour for fair skin tones and I was curious how you felt about it! :)
I have that product from them and I love it! A little goes a long (long!) way, so less is more, but it is easy to travel with and has been good to my skin so far!
I love the products I got from RDF but the creasing drives me crazy! I've tried primer and transluscent powder and everything and it just does not stay.

Omg that eye soot on you is gorgeous! I have 4 but I need golden age! I do agree on the price I waited until they had their Black Friday sale to try as $38 for one product is a bit much but I do love them and wear them all the time! I am obsessed with their limited edition highlighter from Black Friday in spectre. The eye soots are different textures on purpose I believe but I don’t like the texture on the celestial eye soots as I feel like they are greasy and move around my other eyeshadow underneath 😬
I loved this tutorial, as I own many Rituel de Fille products, including the Delirium and Frenzy cream colors and the Nix concealer. I had never tried applying them with a sponge, but I did after watching this video and I LOVE IT!!!!! Thank you so very much or this! BTW, I use the Ghost Light highlighter...it is a white base with a cool-toned pale pink shift and I find it super duper pretty on my pale skin. Maybe give that one a try if that sounds like that would be something you would like? Also, to anyone trying out the brand themselves, when it comes to the cream all over color products, the color in the pan is often very different from how it reads on your skin, just a heads up!
Ooh wow I actually love that shadow on you. It’s gorgeous actually. There’s another youtuber named Amanda Z? Who LOVES the eye soots and she’s mastered the art of using these if you want to check them out.
I came here because I wanted to see those eye spots in action and wow, I was hoping I would be able to say no thank you but my god they look gorgeous. That’s going to hurt my wallet.
Great review and demo on a range of Rituel's products. You hear about the eye soots all the time but rarely the other items. I am not a big fan of the eye soot packaging and wear little shimmer make-up, but they look very pretty and Rituel's IG is amazing. Thank you
As always thanks for your honesty!! I too disliked the eye soots. I have small hands and almost always have short nails, I still found it extremely difficult to get it out and couldn't seem to get it applied in a way I was happy with. 🤷🏼♀️ I did also enjoy the blush, I have the frenzy shade as well. 😊 I am making a note that you enjoyed the concealer, I may give it a try at some point in the future. ❣️
Love this brand, but the products can be a bit hit and miss! The eye soots are lovely but hard to work with, I always use a brush to apply them as well. I love the creme highlighters for the versatility and the unique colours, but I wish they had longer staying power. My fave product BY FAR though are their lip sheers, I honestly don't wear any other lip products any more. The lip sheers have everything from goth to mainstream and you can wear them sheer or layered, and they just look beautiful all day even once they've faded. Whitethorn is my go to everyday lip colour.
For me it is a rituel de fail. So disappointed by the eyeshadow. They last few hours and the pigments are sooo weak. It’s expensive and I don’t know why. I let a review on their website but of course they don’t let it appear. Do not trust the reviews of a product website people. They just obviously filter it...
Thank you so much for this review! I got the concealer around Christmas and have been loving it. I was curious about/on the fence about trying the eye shoots because... $38... for one eyeshadow. 🤔 Glad to hear your thoughts and see it in action!
Clara Shook they send samples for a very low price and it might be worth it to try some for yourself. They’re beautiful and used with a lighter touch, they’re really lovely
That’s what happens when the cat walks across my iPad! As far as the fall out, I pick a little up with a small stiff brush then pat it on my eye with my finger. I’m going to try their concealer. #Kackie made me do it! ❤️
I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage! In Sweden they have stopped these early ultrasound because it might induce miscarriages. In Sweden everything concerning pregnancy is free, so there is no interest in making unnecessary examinations. A midwife can easily hear heart sounds with a stethoscope.
Beautiful review as usual, Lady! If it helps Amanda Z has a really good demo type thing on the eye shadow pigments that looks really pretty and natural. ruclips.net/video/xBm3rIOCKyo/видео.html She must be a witch cause she makes everything look flawless and natural tho!

the only thing ive tried is their sheer lips, im so so so IN LOVE with it
For me it is a rituel de fail.
I have never heard of this brand. Interesting
Thank you!
I can handle the fallout for those ingredients and the smell of natural essential oils is beautiful and refreshing.

I really love their products, sorry you didn't have the best experience
This is my all time fave concealer
