love the crawler, great work! would love to see a tutorial for this! Those pencils are a great tool, interesting to see them in use (bought them a while ago, but never get used to them, maybe i'll try again, thx)
The crawler was pretty easy actually. Prime black, Base coat of deathguard green and the airbrush shades with a light dryad bark and the weathered like hell! Lol lots of rust work with model mates rust stains and the usual GW rust methods. If I end up doing anymore DG stuff I’ll be sure to get it shot on camera! :) thanks for the comment.
I have some rust pigments, but those look a lot easier! Less setup at least. Might have to get them for myself

@@WarpGateStudios looking forward for more stuff here!! thx for that how to, DG is such a fun army to paint, especially for weathering techniques.
This is very interesting and it looks very easy to use.
Yes it’s so much fun! Love having them in my kit!
Thank you for this !
My pleasure!
Does the pencil weathering wear off if you touch the model? Like do you have to use a spray varnish after or will it be ok without?
Hey Tim! Yes it will eventually wear away so a nice coat of Matt varnish works a treat to seal it all in! :)
May the pencils be used directly on top of Acrylic Paint? or do you need to varnish/seal first with a dullcote?
No you can use them directly onto acrylic paint! I would make sure to seal them afterwards though with a varnish to make sure they stay.
@@WarpGateStudios Hi, great video....after using the pencils would you use an acrylic varnish or lacquer to seal the finished model?
@@Zombie-Tog thanks for the comment! Yes a quick Matt varnish seals it all in. Happy hobbying!
A whole year ahead of Jinjon!
Jon’s a superstar! He pushed me towards the Wowstick and so many other things. :)
@@WarpGateStudios oh no shade meant, just giving you your due. Jon's work is fantastic
@@Dagenham_Swish all good bud! :) yeah I bumped into him last year at LVO and hope to sit down with him for an interview in January if I can!
