its actually kinda kind words , his history of killing was torturuing victims which is way way colder than that , atleast he gave him a painless and quick death
I remember seeing this movie when it first came out and I didn't think much of it. Now I watched it again 12 years later and I think it's freaking awesome. It's actually a really well written, directed and acted movie and it's tons of fun from start to end! This is a classic case of a movie that you totally forgot and years after you find it again and it's totally awesome! :)
Timing means so much, as you change as a person. I don't want to name it but I saw a movie at 15ish and didn't like. Saw it again around 18ish and it became a favorite movie.
@@royharris7464 I agree with you. I saw Contagion when it came out back in the day and didn't like it one bit. Guess what , I rewatched it like ten times last year
@@sweetsalvation7143 well I didn't want to name that movie for me because it was a toxic masculinity movie. It didn't hit young but at 18 it did. Now I realize it's problematic. Contagion, very much a safe, non-person specific example of what I meant lol

This part is sad when he asked if am i really dieing he really nailed it and sounded scared and the nice sound and depressing music makes this part perfect
I dont think anyone realizes that the black suit Assassin is the same guy who played the gotham city mayor in the chrisopher nolan Batman Begins trilogy.
Love this movie. When i first watched it i thought it was cool, then i watched Lost years later and decided to watch it again, when the FBI mentioned Acosta the assassin/torturer i thought he looked really familiar and then i thought the Security Chief looked very familiar and when both had a conversation i realized they were both from Lost
This guy is not so bad. Quick, without seeing it coming, relatively painless, and an oddly comforting send off into the abyss. He’s pretty civilized compared to other killers.
@@jonasfischer9510 Is it sadism though? Sadists generally kill their "prey" as slow and painful as possible. Cause that's the whole point, they extract their joy from the suffering of others. Pascal not only eliminated his enemy quickly, but his enemy's family will atleast have an open casket. Not saying his actions are not evil, they obviously are, but his methods are relatively clean and humane compared to the other killers in this movie and the sequel
@@martianastronaut4917 The movie introduces him as a torturer, and a specifically cruel one, so he's obviously a sadist by nature. But he's a also a professional, using his "penchant" for profit. At this particular kill he has prioritized aims, like getting a disguise and reaching the upper floor unnoticed. Hence he doesnt have the time or setting to torture the guy, a quick and quiet death is whats required. The act of soothing his victim and giving him advice for when he reaches heaven is not an act of mercy though, it's an act of domination and humiliation. He soothes him almost like a mother gets her baby to sleep. That imposes the total control that he has over his victim, which is probably the one thing sadists enjoy the most.
There are other Lost actors in this film too, but Nestor is the most prominent. It's actually a pretty good movie if you want a loud, bright and violent film which doesn't seem to take itself to seriously. (Really, it's just funny as hell)
how is Matthew Fox never considered for an more mature superman? Great actor that has the nice guy charm to play Clark Kent but would also have the present to play a man that does his best to protect everyone as Superman
@shannlp1 Nestor has done some serious make-up job. I know it's Nestor because I feel him, I feel Matthew too. It looks like Nestor has a double wig. (Bald mask + older tupp'e) Matthew mainly can be recognized by voice and mime.
It adds complexity and depth to his character. He's introduced as this cold blooded mercenary who will do literally anything for money, from horribly mutilate people to gnawing off his own fingertips to evade detection. By showing that he finds his own lifestyle abhorrent and that he holds value in the lives of others even as he kills them, people can connect with him and be emotionally invested in his actions.
in this movie he is a killer who takes on the appearance of his victims and is most likely mentally unstable.. which explains the homosexual tendencies he displays in this scene. he dies shortly after this scene i believe..
“Don’t make this face the last thing you’ll ever see because heaven may hold it against you”. Now that’s the coldest line in the movie.
its the one thing I remembered from the movie 10 years after seeing it

It's been over a decade and I *still* want a Pasquale Acosta movie.
Is he the guy who chewed his skin off on his hands
Yes
this is quite a scene. Acosta is ruthless but actually has a heart. he didn't want to kill him but had to
Hes got to be the kindest murderer. He cares for, and comforts his victims before they die, and educates them.
the guy has a bright future xD
pretty sure asphyxiation sucks
He also tortures his victims haha
Lol he hung a guy upside down and blow torched him while he's flailing around like a tilapia.
@Michael Conley Not really in his way. He needed the pass and he was the only guy with it.
I must say, out of every movie ever......this probably is the nicest cold blooded kill.
The're's a little blue haired lady, I'm looking at her right table 12 she is killin it!! lol!!!!
1:40 I love how Fox really gets into it😂
He was fantastic in Bone Tomahawk.
I love this part too. The facial expression & frustration of having to repeat him self. Funny af
@bigking…..
imo he steals every scene he’s in, and that’s saying something as everyone brought their A game!

Killed him with a hidden blade just like Assassin's Creed.
🤙🏽
Did anyone else feel like at some point they were gonna kiss?
No. There was absolutely nothing sexual about this scene. Especially not the pornstaches or the romantic Spanish guitar music.
No because he isn’t gay like you
What?
I thought of that too. The same goes for Lester Tremor wrapping his legs around Jeeves and hands holding his head when they were trying to “fight.”
Lol 😂😂😂
"yeah William... we're all dying"
Such an intimate kill
This is Richard's alternative life
As someone who was a die-hard fan of Lost and saw this movie in the theater and loved it, thank you for this title

The fact he is soothing him while he's dying is just another level of sadism and domination. The guy is pure evil

but saying that Richard killed Jack is like saying that the smoke monster killed Matt parkman :-P
must be from season 6 cos i havnt seen it yet hmmm wonder when rich got a mustache

I believe that's why the video is titled using their names from the show
