People often don't realise the 'mother complex' isn't about one's actual mother. I'm glad you highlighted this. I'm inspired to make a video. I love your channel. Interesting Jung is getting more into my algorithms!

My biological mother is a selfish, consuming dragon. I spent the first two years of my life with her, although I hardly remember those years now. Then, I moved in with my cousin and her mother, who took care of me. She was definitely better, but she had 10 another kids to take care of and hardly noticed me, and I only remember small snippets of the time I spent with her. In fact, it was my cousin, who is perhaps just 6-10 years older than me, who took on the role of a mother figure. She showed me true, unconditional love. I remember the time I spent with her vividly, even today. But when I was around six years old, I was forced to move back with my biological mother. I hate her. I've never felt any genuine love from or for her. I don't remember spending a single enjoyable day with her. She treated us like her slaves and workers while she watched TV all day.
Now, I'm in my 20s, and my life feels like a failure. I have no contact with any of my family, not even my cousin. I don't have any friends, I didn't finish school, I don't have a driver's license, I have no achievements, and I have terrible social skills. There's nothing that keeps me going. I don't blame everything on her, but she definitely played a major role.
I could try to fix my life-go back to school, get a job, save up, and get a driver's license-but I have no motivation to even get out of bed in the morning. Sometimes I stay in bed for 24 hours. If I had the means, I would have ended my life long ago.

Wow I do not have words for how sad this makes me feel for you. I can relate to parts and know great sorrow can really mess you up. You could really benefit by exercising. Its such a mood enhancing practice. It has done wonders for me not feeling the dred of existence. My mother was and is cold and mean as could be. And Ive hated her for bringing me into this world still at 50. But exercising my body just does wonders for me. I had to make myself find ways to make it enjoyable. But when you do it feels so good and makes life look completely different. Bad days will still happen but you can do this. Have that faith in yourself. Learn to unconditionally love yourself!!!! Best wishes to you!

If we need by nature loving parents isn't this a request from evolution? Then why do we fail at it so much? Then shouldn't we not need this as part of our biology? Then why do we need loving parents? Pay attention how many things getting screwed if there's lack of love. Then what is it - from an evolutionary standpoint? If not the biggest evolutionary advantage.
