    Keep it named District 7!
    Also, you could build an explosives factory in District 7 since that is where your badwater is coming from. Though you wouldn't want to do it now since there is no longer power up there. But during Good Tides and Bad Tides you would have the power and the badwater there.

    Only contamination above 5% gets beaver sick. The reason you have increasing contamination is that you are pumping out good water from the slightly contaminated water and the bad water is left. You could add more bad water pumps to pump out bad water or add a sluice gate that would open at contamination 3% and would flush the bad water as it gets to dangerous levels.
    You should add a stream gauge and eliminate guessing. It is just a few logs and planks.

      Sluice gate to replace the floodgates is the best solution here.

      I agree; however, if he goes one layer deep on either side of the aqueduct for 2or 3 blocks after each reservoir, the water folding should, in theory, be enough to prevent the surging
      Option 2: build a pressurized aqueduct using scaffolding and levies that ensure that all the bad water is completely gone before filling up the main reservoirs

    36:59 if you add more ladders ( enough for beavers to get onto the top of houses... They can walk over the house to get onto the top of cliff ... Then put your roof on top of the entire stack of ladders)

    2:48 ... you could always build a new dam (which includes sluices) across the river just a couple of tiles down stream from the floodgates, then once completed remove the three floodgates (with zero loss of water) this would also give you a few more spaces to plant more mangroves 🌱

    GG. The reason the bad water bypass started to work was because of the last set of explosives you set off. Before, the channel went from 1 wide and 2 deep to 1 wide and 1 deep. This cause it to overflow upstream. After exploding, the channel became to 2 wide and 1 deep. This gave it room so it no longer backed up.
    If you're going to replace the last floodgates with sluices, you should put them as far downstream as possible. This would give more arable land for farms or trees.

    Just wanted to leave a comment and say I was lacking some TImberborn content from my main channels and yours kept getting recommended all the time. Well I finally started watching you and I have really enjoyed it. I’ve binged the Apocalypse series over 2 weeks-ish and the Emberpelts in a few days. Seems theres’s plenty of catalog left to go, but I like your style you have going. I don’t enjoy cut together gameplay for this style of game and you make it entertaining. 💡on the bottom of the most upstream dam ... How about putting 2 MECHANICAL water pumps in the corner ( keep their pickup tubes close to each other ) .. one set to bad water to dump off map, one set to drinking water & will dump into lower reservoir

    If you want zero contamination you need to set your sluices to 0% or flush your systems. yes you waste water setting them to 0%, but, flushing your systems also wastes water. you need to decide which you would rather do; not accept any bad water % or clean up the tiny bit of bad water you accept. you literally can't do both, you need to choose which one you want to do. for example, building bad water pumps just before the sluices dump into the next reservoir is an effective way of getting the contamination % to 0 in the next reservoir. putting a badwater pump just before the very end of your water system is pretty useless and is akin to bailing out the titanic with a 5 gal bucket when it's going down.

  • @Someone_in_the_comments
    @Someone_in_the_comments 10 дней назад +4

    Those watersources are in such large pools they take forever to clear the badwater. Putting levees around them to block off most of the pools would allow them to clear so much faster than what you're currently doing with the line of levees in that first pool.
    Then you could start the (long!) process of totally enclosing the sources and the badwater drain channels under waterproof tiles so there's no contamination ever again.

  • @thomasfplm
    @thomasfplm 10 дней назад +1

    0:36
    Please, instead of making the water go around a big path, block part of the lakes, stopping the water from going there (if you want to fill it, put a sluice allowing good water to go there), it will make so the water clear a lot faster.
    12:56
    I think I would start by building the bypass here, and the bigger dam later.
    16:56
    You can already start blasting the channel, and later you just make the connection between the reservoir and the the channel.
    You could even make a column of levies in front of where the channel will be, blast the passage, remake the wall with a sluice at the bottom and then remove the column.
    32:11
    Don't forget that decorations, once built, provide free well-being.
    And don't forget to put those in the High Ground.
    35:41
    If you get a drought, it might be interesting to close the bad water on the left here.
    56:02
    I suggest adding a stream gage to automate turning the dump on and off.

    The very top reservoir, it would be a fair bit of work but moving the dam wall back to where you have the sluice to flow off the map. You'd have a much more efficient flushing off map. It currently purges a lot of clean water because the contamination is stationary at the wall.

  • @BlackPunkPrincess05
    @BlackPunkPrincess05 10 дней назад

    So up in the district 7, you should first informals give them a second water pump that’s not flooded and also move your tree farm to the opposite side of the district center and have the mangroves moved up there in that little dish where you could either have a stream coming from the main water source or have water dumps around (maybe 2 or 3) throughout. Which removes the contamination threat for the beavers in the main district and gives district 7 a export.

  • @YAUMMI

    53:30 Remember to put the rest of the dynamite channel back in place at low priority! You need to actually connect the channel to the end before you finish the row of levees in the lake or else there's going to be small leakage here and there. Right now it's balanced by razor thin margins, and you can already see the lakes spill out from time to time after the badtide ended.

    even if, at the end of every bad tide.. you had 9% at the end of the dam... by letting that amount into that HUGE dam container area you have.. that alone will drop it below 1%.. AND, with the rest of the good tide water... it won't be an issue... but what you could do to help... back that first wall of the damn a few tiles to that block of dirt thats almost as low as the bottom of dam.. build wall there.. then when you get a drought, you can blast it out, and slap in a sleuth, cover with levee's, then a dam on top for overflows, unless you have a plan for overflow elsewhere to greenify :D the upper district... RUSTY'S .. Rusty Beaver.. he owns the mine up there.. runs the town like an old western lol 51:00 Coffee is EASY!! only need like 25 tiles to grow it and it's GREAT since lowers water drinking :D BTW.. how much is it to be a beard booster? and uhh... can i like... prebuy ahead of time? :D

      Deeper ponds don't do anything. Water does not irrigate up, only down and on the same level. Deeper pond may help irrigating lower down the hill but certainly will not irrigate a wider area.

    You have sick beavers and do nothing about it :( also your beavers are still walking through nasty water I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to build two bridges over main river and thats all. You say your pathway doesn’t make sense and proceed to not fix it why?

      We have a decontamination pod in District 7 and all contaminated beavers are automatically sent up there
