The apparent lack of boot space (at least on paper) is because Lexus uses the German VDA standard to measure it. Most competitors will measure boot space as if you're pouring a liquid into it, i.e. every nook and cranny is filled. The VDA method instead measures how many 200x50x100mm blocks (so, one liter of volume) you can fit in. The blocks are not flexible so not every little corner can be used. As a result the Lexus figure for boot space is lower than the competitors but it's a much more realistic representation of how much you can fit in.

Outside, Lexus RX still looks great. If they update also the infotainment system it will be really competitive. The interior has great quality and the whole car has high quality made mechanical and electrical components. I own a Lexus RX and I'm not bothered at all from the CVT transmission. The only place where it is unsuitable is the German Autobahn with no speed limit. Once you gain speed in a normal motorway, it is serene at constant speeds 130-160 km/h. And the V6 has quite a good sound when you need to accelerate.

Great video! The vehicles of the Lexus RX line are reliable and luxurious. When it comes to engine longevity and great comfort on the road, the RX series is definitely a good pick for you. These vehicles have quiet cabin noise and comfortable ambience. Economically, its fuel economy is incredible and the resale price is also great. Choose this vehicle if you want luxury, reliability, low cost maintenance, and good value if you’d want to trade it in later on. Nonetheless, the common complaints of the RX series that the Internet generally talk about are:
    1) Outdated/old interior design. A lot of consumers are expecting a complete redesign.
    2) Sluggish acceleration even if you upgrade to the F sport trim compared to its competitors.
    3) Pricy upgrades/options for certain amenities that its competitors would provide as standard features.

Dan, It seems the days of the V6 Lexus RX are numbered. Those who prefer a silky smooth V6 over a turbo 4 should stock up now!!! The next RX Hybrid will probably switch to the impressively efficient 4 cylinder setup we already see in the Highlander and Sienna. For the perpetually beleaguered Canadian auto industry, it is welcome news that the NX is joining the RX as a made-in-Canada Lexus offering.

I was happy for this brand to consider smaller stature individuals. If, you want a bigger seats go with the LX model?

It’s so boring how you review guys predictably crap on the infotainment. All systems have idiosyncrasies. Get over it.. tried looking in the settings ? Also you guys are far too performance centric; the CVT is excellent for a long distance cruiser which is what it is , it’s not a sports SUV
