What's in my holster? Usually a S&W Bodyguard. 380 in a recluse holster in my pocket. I live in Massachusetts and am fortunate to have been granted a License To Carry by her magesty's Royal Commonwealth Government. That said, brandish is a vague crime here, encompassing almost anything that the royal constibulary shall decree. Therefore, one who is lucky enough to possess an LTC must exercise great care and caution to not make it known that he is bearing arms. Exposure of arms upon public way shall result in immediate revocation of the privilege to bear such arms. Woe to thee who violates these royal edicts.
This is all a bit tongue in cheek, but demonstrates that, besides during the revolution, this royal Commonwealth never deviated from its roots. (The state government still calls itself a Commonwealth, just like Australia.)

I recently picked up a Ruger Vaquero 45 with a 3 1/4 inch barrel that is super nice to pack around. Just need to get some leather for it and it will probably become the one I tote around. I carry a 1911 around town but for working on tractors and horses its hard to beat a single action revolver for safety.

A question. or three... why do you keep the loading lever on the conversion? Did you do the conversion, or did you purchase the revolver already converted? If you did the conversion, did you have to sleeve the barrel? I have heard that actual .38 caliber bullets are to small for the .36.

Giving me 1,200fps with a 325 grain bullet out of a 45 Colt which is enough for the grizzlies we get here near my ranch in NW Montana as well as anything else I might encounter.
