📰📰 Video Description 📰📰
WordPrress has made tremendous progress in the last few years. Especially with the block editor, performance improvements, and even FSE features. Even with all the bells and whistles, one thing that WordPress still isn't great at is image management; more specifically, replacing images.
You see, you can upload a new version of a theme or plugin to your website, and WordPress will detect the older version and update it. However, if you want to do the same thing with images, well, tough luck.
Now, imaging having used an image throughout your website, in 10, 20, 50, or 100 different locations. If there is a need to update an image, the process is quite cumbersome. Find all the locations where the image is used, and replace them manually - not fun!
What if there was an easy way? Well, there is! By using a plugin designed specifically to replace images on your website. Once the plugin is installed and activated, you will see a new option in your media library, which will let you upload a new image to your website which will replace the old one. For the full demo, watch the video.

Thanks, this video is the most clear answer to replace the image in my wordpress webiste. But I still have some questions about my page, because in somehow I choose the same image source for two pages, but right now I don't know how to change it one page with one different images, anyway to fix this problem? Thanks a lot.
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
You're very welcome!
GREAT VIDEO MAN! THANK YOU!
Glad it helped!
Thank you very much, My Brother!!
You are very welcome
it worked thanks
You're welcome!
what about the size difference? the orig was only 500 wide, the new one was over 4x wider... the larger one, even though appears sized to fit, must be a much larger file size? Or is it compressed automatically and also sized same as the one it's replacing. Is it resized to match sizes of all other instances thru out a site also? ALSO, can't you right click (I think) or select option when in the media library to "replace" an image? That's how I've done it, wondering how it affects the original uploads, however.
Good catch! I agree with Christine.
Christian, ideally the size of the images should be the same so the layout of your pages doesn't get affected. Since this was just a demo, I didn't do it, but I should have. As for the replacing option in Media Library, I don't see it anywhere in the lastest version.... could you share a screenshot of what you're talking about?
Question: If someone is using the image compression which turns images to WebP. Does he need to upload a WebP image for replacement?
Amazing thank you bro this helped me first time worked like a charm !
Happy to hear! 😊
thank you it was helpful
Glad to hear that!
Excellent tip! Thanks for posting it.

You're welcome!
Thank you for the video and clear explanation! Does the replace functionality also erases the image from your webhost? So the plugin can also be used to change large images for smaller versions, or is there a more effective way to do so? I found most plugins to only make copies and save both versions. Thanks!
It shouldn't delete, however, you can test this in the staging website before applying to the live website.
hello awesome vid , i was wondering how can you replce images with videos on WP

Thank you!
Thank you for the helpful video sir!
You are welcome and much appreciated.

Hi thank you. How we can replace our old .jpg image with a new one but .webp format? Will this harm the traffic to the older indexed image /with .jpg format/? Thanks for posting it.
Thank you, a useful tip. Appreciated.

Thank you brother. This is good stuff.

hello, do you need an online store to sell ?
@@travelXiaSiliang Thank you brother. I am a seasoned veteran web and app developer and SEO expert. I manage several DR 70+ websites that get over 1 million visitors monthly. I think the only help I need is advise on how to move a site from DR70 to DR90 without a 301 redirect, from a site that already bares DR 90 status, which seems to be the simplest and most obvious guess. If you have any knowledge on this it would be highly appreciated. I can't seem to go past the DR 86 firewall. This seems to be a glass ceiling, for most sites. Thank you!!
This is great! Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Excellent! I've been looking for a plugin like this for a while.
But what are your thoughts on replacing an entire image collection on a website that includes for instance their blog? this become more tedious and time consuming but there have to be tips and tricks to use? My work around is to redo a whole site and use a staging site, but that also has drawbacks. :)
Glad I could help Christian. As for replacing image collections, there are definitely ways to achieve it, but it won't be doable by beginners. I'd say try your best techniques on a local and staging environments and find what works best for your website.
i love you
Awsome explanation brother really appreciated :)
Glad it helped Mian Farhan! Thanks for watching :)

What about a Bulk Replace? Images have the same name but are edited ...
Hii , there is no option for undo , can I go back and change 2 images back to back if there is some mistake with the new replaced image ?
hello, do you need a website to sell ?
I tried this and it is not working, the images remain the same even though theyve been replaced. Its a real pain for a beginner to work with wordpress as you do not even have the complete control over anything at all. Nor the text or the images. It should just be drag drop to any place we like. Pretty complicated in my opinion.
Is this still the best solution for replacing images in wordpress??
Yes, it is. Please give it a try.
Hi thank you. My images have gone all saturated and i cant figure out why. Ive done this as you kindly offered as well as added a optimize plug in . But still no change. Should i look via the cloud flare side of things ?
do you need online store to sell?
hello how to embed images hosted by a public folder or cloud storage to wordpress, I do a lot of content and want my images to be stored or hosted somwhere not inside wordpress media library. been trying for weeks now but still doesn't work, best result only show the title of the file but not image rendering in the front end. please, and will be grateful for your help, (premuim pcloud)
You may proceed with third-party plugin like this: wordpress.org/plugins/infinite-uploads/
Also, please have a look at this helpful documentation: www.greengeeks.com/tutorials/how-to-add-an-external-media-library-to-wordpress/

No we can replace only, can't delete as of now.
do you need any website to sell ?
I installed this plug in and I did not get the option to replace media even after refreshing. What did I do wrong?
Pamela, please double check your steps once. If the option still does not appear, please share a comment with the exact steps you've followed. I'll try and replicated the issue on my end then.
I have not found any plugin that uses this methodology to be 100% successful. It's very hit and miss.
I didn't have any issues with this one in my limited testing, Josen. Perhaps I need to test it a bit more.
@@BrainstormForce It was quite a few versions ago that I had troubles. And it was random also. Didn't happen every time. I am guessing that they have worked out any issues since then if your experience has been consistent each time you use it. BTW, your videos are great. Thank you for creating them.
any one needs online web store to sell?
Stop with all of the small talk and change the image
