      Thank you for watching! I know right at first I needed all I could to keep my mind busy, maybe he'll have some reading on his thread that can be done to keep his occupied too.

    Thanks! You are my favorite authority on all things archery. I have other scopes, but I was going to get a new Shrewd setup. Now I will have to wait for you shooting performance evaluation and keep an open mind.

      Thanks for watching and following! I've been shooting with the AV-25 now some and I'm really liking the ability to adjust the pin brightness. Left fully open and it's brighter than my previous pin for sure. I have it adjusted about halfway open right now for indoor and it seems to be great. No star bursting. If you're going to shoot a pin, I think this technology would sway my direction. If you weren't going to shoot a pin, the Shrewd is a quality set up too!

    Hey Robert! I just got the axcel av-31 scope. Where should I put the T-connector in the sight attachment? Ie. Should I put it about in the middle of the gradations on the T-connector? I can slide it right or left, but I’ll still be able to adjust the sight with the windage knob.

    great video like always! do the cross hairs come in different colors?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад +1

      Thank you! I don't believe they do, but I've talked with a couple of guys using pain pins or markers to color them in and change colors with them. You can easily flip it over and have one color for each side too.

    • @jclark1965
      @jclark1965 7 лет назад +1

      Great video, I painted my AV 31 cross hairs Flo Orange and they look great outside but in the scope you can't really tell much of a difference because of the lack of light. I don't see much advantage to changing the color unless there is some sort of glow in the dark type of paint. They will also tend to disappear on a dark target in low light situations.

    hello from scotland! how fast are the bubbles on these scopes? I like a very slow bubble! currently shoot a bieter 29 scope and I love the bubble speed on That! thanks Steven

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад

      Hi Steven! Walk me through what you're meaning on a slow bubble so I make sure to answer you the best. Are you just meaning the liquid inside the bubble is thicker and allows for slower movements?

    • @wishstevie
      @wishstevie 7 лет назад

      hi yes, thanks for reply, that's exactly what I was Meaning, thicker fluid slower bubble movement!

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад +1

      Seems like it moves just a little faster than my Sure Loc scope's bubble.

    I run the LP Light Kit, can you run the fiber into the YCS to use it with the kit?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад +1

      Yes you can. I don't have the LP kit, but i have my fiber ran this was now.

  • @robdhall1971
    @robdhall1971 5 лет назад

    Hi Robert. How does the fibre come out of the bottom of the scope? I'm looking for a scope that doesn't have tubing coming out the bottom eating into scope/arrow clearance

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  5 лет назад

      It does come out of the bottom and wrap around the housing. The new Shrewd Optum would be your best bet.

  • @rcardoso530

    curious can you run the crosshairs, pin, and lens all at the same time?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад +1

      Yes you can. They spacing works for all of them to be used at once.

    Hi,
    I have been using my Sparks scope for 2 years now, and I want to get this by Feb 2017 here in Vegas shoot when they have the convention.. I was wondering if this could be a good investment for a target bow? I watch some videos they said that is good for a Hunting bow, I currently have a Target bow and I am not good with these things...
    Also, what is a good lens that I can use for this? I have a bad eyesight, with my sparks I have hard time, seeing sometimes my target coz it gets blurry.. what Lens do u recommend? and the smaller scope are better than the bigger ones?
    Thank you, sorry for a lot of questions..

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад

      Hello,
      The AV Scopes are designed with the target application in mind. They're a really good scope for sure! The size of the scope depends on what you'll be using it for mostly. If you're going to be using it for indoors the AV25 or AV31 will both be good options. The smaller scope lets you run a smaller peep size and have less room to vary your anchor point. The downside is having a smaller peep, at times, can give you less light and become difficult to see out of. I haven't had any issues with the AV25 and the peep size being too small though. I'd recommend that size to any target archer.
      For lenses, I'd use a Feather Vision lens. They're very clear and made really well. www.feathervisions.com/feathervisions_products.php

    • @chelzhi
      @chelzhi 7 лет назад

      Hi,
      Thank you for your response. I went to the website to check the Feather Vision one, but they have a lot of different lens. I don't know which one would solve my issue LOL..
      I don't even know what kind of lens I have. All I know is that I use the lens that the Spark have for the Spark Scope. and Yes I have difficulty in them.
      I was also considering getting a clarifier but then, they advised me to get a better lens first before trying out a clarifier..
      Thank you for the explanation on the peep size and the size of the scope..

      @rcrchery  7 лет назад

      Send an email over to chuck.cooley@feathervision.com He's the man when it comes to optics. He would be much better able to walk you through the lens strengths, varifiers, clarifiers, and get you put into the right products.

    Really wish you hadn't fast-forwarded through the installation of the pin. I slowed the video down to .25 but still just wrecked a Fire Pin.

    Hi, what is the diameter of the lens? is it 29mm?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад

      Yes, it's a 29mm lens on the AV-25.

    Thanks for the review and I just ordered an av25plus and a green fire pin. For indoor target shooting do you recommend a 3x or 4x lens without a clarifier? BTW what part of Texas are you located as I live in Keller?

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  5 лет назад +1

      I would start with a 3x if you've never used a lens before. Honestly I don't use a lens at all. I don't like seeing up close details because I find I over aim and cause problems for myself.
      I'm in between Dallas and Forth Worth, south of the metroplex.

  • @rcardoso530

    my next question is I stuck on whether to do the 25 or the 31...I only shoot target my bar is extended out to 7 and my peep size I believe is ahh 1/16th not totally sure on that I not it is the second to the smallest...so which do you think would be a better fit for me...side note I regularly so from 20 to 100 if that matters

    • @rcrchery
      @rcrchery  7 лет назад

      25 Will give you the best clearance for longer range shots. The outer diameter of the front ring is about 29mm.

    • @rcardoso530
      @rcardoso530 7 лет назад

      rcrchery you think that would match up good with smaller diameter peep
