- In a wide-ranging interview with Morley Safer, New York's Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan discusses the sex abuse crisis in the Catholic Church, his current mission and the state of the church in America.
What attracts me to the Catholic church isn't permanence or stability...it's because it's the church our dear Lord has given to us!
Do you really think that if Jesus, dressed in simple clothes and living a life of poverty, would be welcomed into the gold-adorned Vatican and handed the reins of the Church?

It's interesting though, if you look at it historically, that the modern objectification of women in TV, film, and magazines can be traced back to modern society's acceptance of condom use and contraception, which Pope Paul VI warned us about in the 1960s.
He promoted it, along with sex education.

Yes agreed leave it to the media to cherry pick. They also ignore the fact the Catholic Church has done more to help the poor and homeless than our government ever has. Or the help they give prison inmates or the inspiration for many many people to turn their lives around.

He says what attracts people to the RC Church is its sense of "permanency" . To me that's a factor way down the list of priorities. No 1 Priority - Is it factually true and correct? There are 4,200 religions and the majority have messiahs, founders, a book, claims to be the revelation of God(s). But not a single one of them can clearly prove, they are the one or even demonstrate clear evidence of the existence of a god. They are all organisations that round up followers, preach rules to them and get rich..... they are all a total scam and the Catholic church, one of the longest standing most successful scams of all, with lots of "permanency" in it.

Not sure if this was necessary for canonization process but I know the process was stopped until his remains were returned. Dolan refused to give up sheen even though he and the ny clergy hated him because sheen was anti modernist, anti homosexual. Dolan is 100% modernist. He spent 1 million$ fighting sheen's family to keep the body. When he lost and they came to take the remains Dolan did not even attend. I think u cou,d have googled this
