Hey NL, I want you to know that SMB3 w/ Malf was a huge highlight and beloved distraction from the craziness of 2020 for me. I totally get if you’ve already made up your mind, but it would truly be incredible to see Malf and you back at it. Either way, the enjoyment has been bountiful in this miniseries and I feel blessed by the Pog Lord.

Jumping a car battery: from jumper to jumpee Red to Red, Black to engine block/frame. while red-red, black-black will usually work to start a dead battery, it completes the circuit instead of providing some kind of grounding causing juice to flow back to the jumper so it's less efficient but the sparks are kinda cool.

The thing I noticed about the CPU on higher Ego levels, is that they hardly bite on close pitches so you have to paint the corners and edges of the strike zone to force them to swing. Its okay to waste a few pitches to setup a strikeout, but try to force the CPU to swing at a pitch.

Regarding car batteries, I have had mine die several times because of a few different reasons, often because I was a new driver and a student in university who was taking naps in their car and forgetting to turn the headlights off. Or I would just chill in the car because it was the most private place available to me, and I wouldn't think about the fact that leaving the car running for a couple hours can kill the battery. Even though I've had to jump my car many times, it's been a while and it's very easy to forget how to connect the terminals properly. Anyone that acts like it is easy should not be trusted with your car because if you're not being careful and assuming it is easy then connecting the terminals wrong can be incredibly dangerous. Although on modern cars, I don't think it's that dangerous any more because the batteries are different, although it can still damage the equipment.
One thing that never felt right about these Super Mega Baseball games is throw power. It seems like the difference between like a 30 power throw and a 95 power throw is insanely minor. And that there is basically no reason to risk overthrowing. If as an outfielder you throw a 30 power throw from the warning track to the cutoff man, it should bounce and roll to them.
I can't believe people still play sports games that try and be a sim that focuses on being realistic while there's the arcade-style sports games that focus on being FUN. SMBB is just so tight and well made for a game where the people look like celebrity deathmatch characters. Same goes for racing games. Honestly, I'd rather play GTAV racing compared to Forza any day, just because it's not taking away fun for the sake of realism.
Well, even though smbb looks arcade and definitely plays arcade ish it runs a complex simulation of baseball, so it's for everyone my kid can play with the mojo turned down, or I can play competitive ball , the game does both, and most people over look it, I know EA bought them and that made me nervous, but still a great game

For real pitching advice, you want to throw sliders that finish outside to same handed hitters. It gives the greatest perception of lateral movement. Fastballs feel fastest up and in. Offspeed stuff feels slowest low and away. When you are setting someone up, think about how they will need to move their stick. Make them change locations. Don’t throw a pitch that looks different, but goes to the same slot. They just practiced that movement. Try for a pitch that looks the same out of the hand but ends in a different slot.
Oh, and don’t always throw to the corners. They are learning that you always put it in the corners. Put some middle in, or middle low. That breaks your tendency and will get you miss hits.

He has a high average and hits flyballs well. Maximize your potential to put baserunners on, score runs, and extend innings when you're batting. If pitching's a lost cause, which it seems to be, why not take the opportunity to run up the score a little bit?
