He’s gotta get on the field. Niners should be starting Trey Lance if they really want to find out if he’s the guy. Both he and Purdy are young. You gotta choose one guy this isn’t a situation like they had with Jimmy G, a guy who’s in the latter part of his career.

One of my close friends played with Trey at NDSU. He said Lance was never all that, never anything close to a truly elite passer, it was the QB coach running the show behind the scenes who made him look great.
