    Having always had 1000cc bikes, i tried this MT09 SP last April and never looked back. This bike is a absolute blast and not once have i missed the 30-50 extra BHP i have had previously on bikes the last been a GSX 1000 GT. I get between 47-52 mpg depending how i ride, tank range about 140-150. The S22 tyres are really good, but rear one's last about 2000-2500 miles. Bought the SW Moto Blaze saddle bags (£349 including fixing kit) for mine and even been touring on it. And now a triple convert! Great bike/Great value.

      Thanks for the comment mate, as you said you dont notice and fall short with the engine, there isn't an area where you are wanting more that something bigger could provide, again Yamaha have done a great job. Enjoy your ride mate.

    Engine braking? Are you saying there is setting for this Gen 3 mt engine braking .. I had 2016 model decel engine braking off throttle changing gears was one of the things I didn't like about mt until I I got flash and quickshifter up the box.. Helped engine braking and decel this is good to know..

  • @Paulthenutter34
    @Paulthenutter34 9 месяцев назад +1

    Brilliant engine but the ergonomics are way too upright for sporty twisty riding. And I could not get the suspension to work for me at all at 66kg without gear... Went back to the MT10sp with zero regrets. If the new version is 'sportier' in ergonomics, I could definitely be tempted... That motor is so much fun and sounds brilliant with an Akra full system!

      4:24 @@DSR1YTmy decision came down to the Street Triple versus the MT09. I preferred the Triumph, but you can't go wrong with either. I like wringing an engine out so the higher rev limiter and power band better suited my style. However, I felt the STRS felt far more nimble, and thats not saying the 09 is a bad ride!
