sorry, the song was composed by myself, Nikko Weidemann and Mario Kamien. Tom Tykwer helped with the chorus melody and generously entrusted us with the task of composing the onscreen music for Babylon Berlin season 1 & 2. please amend the credits, thank you
Credits are updated, thanks for letting us know. And thank you for the great music!
It sounds absolutely amazing
BRAVO.
The haunting theremin, promising sin and death, the hissing lyrics, the mechanical, train-like rhythm of the orchestra, the explosion of raw emotion and wild lebenslust, this is a masterpiece of escapism, hopefulness, wistful longning and dazed ecstasy. The best party anthem!
@Simon McCreath theremin is just so unsettling
btw we really love this version and feel very flattered indeed
I never heard about Babylon Berlin before this video autoplayed on my playlist. Now I'm listening to the Severija version at least four-five times a day. I really like this song for reasons I don't understand.
Dang Le The melody and song is an “Ohrwurm,” ear worm, both versions fantastic.
I convinced the The Danish Radio Symfonic Orkestra was over the top happy to perform your masterpies
who sings in the tv show? is it the actress herself?
@@excinereresurgam9471 yes
Astonishing, sublime composition. Some pieces of music transcends the mere technical to become works of genius. This is one of those. Thank You. Michael - South Africa.
wunderschöne version
Sooo coool interpretiert...
This was so amazing to watch live - I simply loved the show Babylon Berlin and the music in it. Never knew that Michael Møller sang german that well - it was an fantastic night in DR' s concert hall 😀😃🙂
Extraordinary MUSIC... Special and Different... PERFECT... Bravo and Bravisimo... Divine...
Absolutely Fantastic!!!!
ANOTHER Great piece from this orchestra. Just love the orchestra singers and choir. Hooked on them!!...
Any music with a Theremin player in it is good.
“Murder at the Symphony” - was there with my wife, fantastic experience!
Hopefully the rest of the concert will be available soon.
Seems like they upload a piece every one or two days. The concert from early June (Fantasymphony) will also be uploaded on this channel, probably in a month or so. It was epic!
großartig!!!!
Ganz grosses Kino. Herzlichen Dank für diese grandiose Performance.
Wonderful!!
Perfeição!
I loved this , I really did.Espesially the beginning, perfection !!!!
the instrument is called the thereminvox in honor of the outstanding inventor of the instrument Lev Theremin🎼🌟🎆💝
Christine's got some set of pipes! Nice rendition. Thanks for posting.
Fantastic!!!
My fav Babylon Berlin
Outstanding, thank you
fantastic song….
theremin. how fitting. what a amazingly good rendition. the DNSO is pure gold.
Bravo!!!
Babylon Berlin's theme song.
This intro.... absolutely stunning.
Very good Version of the Original. Also the blond woman as the Background Singer. Chapeau!
Bravo
Fabulous
Super!!
Bravissimo
Astounding.
Excelent
How amazing...
what's with the theremin over what should have been the drum solo? Toby Dammit's (aka Larry Mullins) solo from version seen the in series is the highlight of the song.
The Beste,The Best .
👍🎉👍🎉👍🎉❤️😍 Magnificent
O filme é espetacular e a trilha sonora também
super!!!
That special vintage piano - they went the extra mile to get that!
fascinating
That is fantastic. Just superb. Wow.
this sounds like some of the music you'd hear before the big fight in an action movie.
Fantastic 👏Much respect to Ms. Andersen, those long held notes shined so achingly beautifully. Mr. Møller did a great job at representing the piece - I felt it lost nothing from its original performance in Babylon Berlin. Wonderfully performed, all around.
That first instrument sounded like something I heard on Forbidden Planet. The music is great.
Murder at the Symphony .We traveled from Greece to saw this performance .The Concert was perfect and Sarah Hicks once more super . Really, how called this instrument who play at the start ?? Next time it is at 9 Jan with the concert Agents for ever
TAKIS STAVROPOULOS it’s a theremin
thank U
Kudos to Christine Andersen
J..aime
I dont know anything about this song but i got mixed and strange feeling after listen to this.
Babylon... fallen. Berlin ... fallen. Hedonism versus Conservatism. Hell versus Heaven. The eternal struggle.

Muhteşem ❤️🇹🇷
I came here to watch the conductor. Great music, great players, great singers but....the conductor is awesome. I just can't get enough of her charming swings of the baton.... and the sleeveless top.
Great Performance. The Saxophones has a lot do with the rhythm look-ups (Nachschlag). The Theremin is a great addition.
😍👍
Babylon is a city in iraq 🇮🇶 where i live in
💔💔💔👏👏👏👍
The guy who sings does a great job. Sounds great! Is he danish? Or german?
His last name is written danish ,could be from the border(german: Möller) because I can`t hear any accent
What was the point of the theremin in this arrangement? I didn't quite get it.
For those that don't like the theremin, 2:07.
Are they playing a saw?
"SITTENDEZERNAT, AUSHEBUNG!!!"
Kinda mediaval like when the guy starts singing and then evolve to a more princess Disney vibe before changing for carnival style.
Trotzdem gut.
Who can tell in what language he is singing?
He sings in german!
He speaks the language from the Vaterland.
Aleman, stupido
I won't say it's not great, because it is... But Severija's voice is sorely missing from this piece. It's not the same without her.
wozu ? das Original ist perfekt! Ok, ich verstehe das Bedürfniss. LG
Il manque de voix, de puissance
Starts at 2:05
Could have done without the theremin.
The orchestra is super, but this song must be singing only by Severija, imho )
Sorry, but this song requires stronger voice.
The theremin completely ruined the drum solo...
The silent wolf hisologically march because digital nutritionally mine down a lavish rifle. scientific, unwieldy man
Its a yes for the song but a no for the theremin for me.
Wagner for the 21st Century.
Great performance, but the Theremin was completely misused - it was almost completely unmelodic, sounding more like a horror film special effect.
I believe that was the idea. its supposed to be haunting and almost horror like.
Was für nen klaptsch
White rap.
He's got white bars
Nice try....
Oh dear... this falls so painfully short of the Severija original. Heavily over-arranged (even for an orchestra), none of the dynamism of the original, especially in the key breakout moment. (Interesting though, just goes to show the problem of covering great music: Since it is pointless or impossible to do it identically, you better go for something different, distinct). If this is your first encounter with this song: please go hear the sensational original (and see Babylon Berlin), and kudos to Weidermann, Kamien and Tykwer for bringing this music and lyrics into the world
Not good, original is better.
That was a poor act, No,No, No .👎
Music is correct but the voices no. The original is better.
Once it gets going, this version of the song is nice. But the introduction is terrible: it is grating, and to me it doesn't fit with the song at all. It sounds like it was lifted from an old Twilight Zone episode or something.
This was a disaster 🤦🏻♂️
