      What people spend on travel is the biggest question we have for other travelers so we always share that information. More times than not, we surprise everyone with how affordable travel can be. Thank you so much for subscribing and following along!

    We budgeted carefully with a family of 5 travelling. We always ate in for breakfast, out for lunch (lunch menu is usually 30-40% less, plus we were out already); dinner was a mix depending on the activity of the day. We use all modes of transportation overseas. It is so fun to watch scenery passing by, converse with the locals, and it is usually more convenient and cheaper. Love watching your video.

      We have a lot of the same habits! We always make our own breakfast. Our preferred method of transportation is trains but are loving the luxury busses we are finding in the baltic countries. Thank you for watching! 😃

      I would recommend it! We had a good time and already want to return to venture through some smaller towns and national parks. Such an underrated European destination.

    That railway between Brașov and Sighișoara is in reconstruction/modernisation. All railways and stations there will look very different in a few years. take care and have fun!

      That sounds awesome. We had a lot of commenters explaining why Romanian trains weren't more modern. Sounds like better days ahead! Thanks for watching!

    Regarding the beds, generally, in Romania we do not like very soft mattresses. They are very bad for your back.

    large water bottles 2 Liter (or 1.5, 2.5 L) are cheaper than those bottles 1/5 liter you had

      I think that bottle is leftover from our hike with Dante and Sorin in Brasov. We hate to single use plastic so the bottle followed us to Sighisoara. Thanks for watching!

    How to you get service? Through provider or a WiFi puck?

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  2 года назад

      We use Google Fi but Nathan will sometimes pause his Google Fi service and use prepaid SIM cards if we are in an area for a long enough time.

    Sighisoara is very small, probably not even a top 30 town in Romania. Brasov is in the top 10.

      @@SOSASATSUNRISE Try Bucharest, Brasov, Sibiu, Cluj Napoca, Oradea, Timisoara, why not Bucovina with monasteries, Mamaia at Constanza in the summer... Even Iasi!

      The biggest reason we did not explore Romania further was the weather. We will keep all of these places on the list for the summer when we may return. Thank you again for the suggestions!

    Why did you guys chose to go to Romania?

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  2 года назад +1

      After landing in Spain for our first country, we knew we wanted to head east for more affordable countries. Bucharest was the cheapest flight out of Madrid heading in the direction we ultimately wanted to go. It is also out of the Schengen region so we could stay longer without worrying about visa days. At the time COVID restrictions were a big draw as well. It was one of the only countries we could get into without paying for a test and did not require a Euro green pass. Although we were excited to see Romania, we did not know much about it. There is a lot of beauty to the country and affordable travel. That checked all the boxes for us.

      @@SOSASATSUNRISE makes total sense. Spain isn’t as affordable as most folks think.
