    So many of my fears of traveling abroad all in one video. Lack of cell or internet service which leads to inability to communicate which leads to feeling very lost in an unknown world. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this trip. Be safe.

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  Год назад

      We agree! Experiencing the unknown is a big reason why we like to travel but that same unknown can be horrifying when you're in a possibly bad situation. Sometimes you get a curveball and have to work you're way through it. It's all part of the story. Thanks for watching!

    Absolutely unreal, but not unusual. Back in 2020, right before the pandemic, I had booked a trip to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is when I discovered that travel to and from Azerbaijan from Armenia was not at all simple. Hope you get into Kazakhstan without issues.

    Are you able to use Google Translate in all your travels? Even without internet, Translate will work if you download the language in advance.

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  Год назад +1

      We use Google translate a lot but we aren't the best at downloading languages ahead of time. 😅 We thought we were ok because we still had phone data but as soon as we left Baku, our connection wasn't strong enough for anything.

    I fully prepared myself for questions when I went to Azerbaijan a few weeks ago. But nothing. I do have a full passport but the Armenian stamp was there.
    Absolutely loved Azerbaijan. Not just Baku but Gobustan and a visit to the mountain village of Xinaliq.
    So glad I chose it for my 100th country.

      I think the airport border control might be less stringent since they don't have as much time to ask questions. We were the only ones going through this particular security. Congrats on 100 countries! Hopefully we will get there one day.

    Compared to what some people have to experience when coming to the US, this is nothing! The TSA agents can be particularly nasty, and their "random" checks are anything but. I travelled with a British Muslim colleague from Frankfurt to Chicago, I could have carried a bazooka for all the attention they paid me, she was quite literally interrogated, and was even asked if she was faking her "Irish accent", when she is a native of Glasgow and a proud Scot of Indian ancestry. She felt humiliated.

    • @SOSASATSUNRISE
      @SOSASATSUNRISE  Год назад +1

      We totally know how terrible it is to cross into the United States. Americans are not immune to the interrogations of TSA. Canada's border patrol can be just as bad when driving across the border. Just rude and intrusive for no particular reason.

      @@SOSASATSUNRISE oh, I just meant that I was surprised that you didn’t get any hater comments from Azerbaijanis. And I’m assuming, which, of course I could be wrong, as I quickly flippantly wrote the comment in reaction to your dramatic experience, that you had to remove hate bomb comments. I am making that assumption based on my experience of any criticism of Turkish governments, anywhere. Particularly if you mentioned Armenia in this video. You may already know that there is a digital campaign to spam out any videos that have any references to Armenia. You’re welcome to delete my comment and you’re welcome to leave it up. I didn’t mean anything more than that. And I will state that my comment is entirely my opinion, and has nothing to do with what you might think. Despite your experience, I think you presented them quite neutrally.

      @@TenTenJthere's no reason for us to hate these guys, they just made a video about their genuine experience while vising our country. :) How did you find this video though? Seems like you have also deliberately searched for some Azerbaijan-related content to spread such stuff about us. Maybe you'd be not so surprised if you hadn't made up a distorted reality in your mind where Azerbaijanis are monitoring internet 24/7 and bullying anyone who dares to say something slightly not-so-positive about their country. We're not in your walls, be less paranoid and chill. I will also state that my comment is entirely my opinion and has nothing to do with what you might think if that'll make you feel better.

    • @TenTenJ
      @TenTenJ Год назад

      @@altairibn-laahad6887 oh, you don’t have to worry about how I feel because your country has already taken care of how I feel. And that is not something that can be fixed in one day. What I wrote is entirely true. Anyone can come over to any of the Armenian media and you’ll witness for yourself how aggressive those hate comments are. Please don’t gaslight me. Isn’t it ironic that you were right on my back as soon as I left a comment? Hilarious how you in fact, cannot leave the topic of Armenia alone. And how did I find this video? I watched some videos of their Armenia trip. But why does that matter at all? It’s a public video. I hope you can see you just proved me, right. Thank you for leaving your comment. Aggressive tactics. Nothing new.
