That equipment you have (fancy, expensive) makes me think you do a lot of shed repossessions? Seems like a lot in Virginia and West Virginia go back to the seller.
You can live anywhere you can hang your hat. I'd rather live like that and keep it a simple life. I purchased mine new and created my perfect sewing room. I say learn aa you go. If the bones are good go for it.
Repoing a shed in a remote West Virginia holler, with no cell service, and no idea what the people are going to be like. You, sir, are a much braver man than I am.
only way i'd do that job. hope i would not need the heat but ready to protect myself. these people do this to themselves. usually if your having trouble paying, you can talk to these people about the money you owe and reach an agreement. that has worked for me in the past. this repo service is no doubt very expensive and the shed owner has to back up the agreement for non-payment. @@foolonthrn
I have one of these sheds that I converted into a tiny home. Mine is only 12 x 20 but every bit of a comfy little home on 9 acres in the mountains. No electricity and no running water, but I have candles and a off-grid shower along with a wood-burning stove inside. I would take living in this little cabin over living in the city any day!
More power to you....not for me....did enough camping when I was a kid....I've become accustomed to utility's after 65 years....if these people would have done the right thing when they were young WORK...they wouldn't be in a situation like that.....PERIOD.....
When I was growing up we couldn't leave the house till our chores were finished!! I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT & KEEP IT CLEAN AS A WHISTLE WITH BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS AND HANG BIRD FEEDERS & BIRDBATH!
It’s disgusting! I have a beautiful shed cabin and people broke in and messed it up. Stole our belongings. It’s really upset my husband so bad that we are not going back. We are selling our 12 acres and the cabin plus 2 barns. If someone lived there it wound be different. But this was a fun get away for us. Until thrifts took away our peaceful place by violating it.
The 2 men moving this "shed" were very respectful and careful of the objects around and in the "shed" as to not damage any of her property. Well done and Kudo's to these fine gentlemen.
This is how you know it's not poverty that makes the afromerica community so violent I seen alot of poverty around the world and I cañ say there is something wrong with the ghetto!!!
It's really important that people who do this type of work have no stake in it. He has the ability to operate without any judgement because he is just there to get paid, not to recoup personal losses, and has no motivation to treat the people in any manner that would make his job more difficult. Be helpful and patient, but make it clear that you have a job to do and it's nothing personal. Most people see a man without a badge who is just trying to do his job with a form of mutual respect and will more often than not cooperate respectfully.
It's funny how you're saying this guy was a good man but yet he just put this on the internet for people to watch but it says it smelled unbearable and somebody else's home what are honorable man still making money off somebody else's misfortunes because he put this repo on RUclips and still gets paid for it
My friends deliver sheds; plenty of work for them for many years now; dont know why anyone could choose the repo pick up, unless it pays much more, bc my friends get paid plenty by these shed builder companies.
it certainly seemed so, with all the travel and fuel, then seeing it in such terrible condition, I also think the cost of repossessing this is more than it is worth, and just plain nasty if it smelled so bad, very surprised the repo guys were't heaving from the smell, then needing to have it cleaned. I wouldn't want to buy this how the hell are they going to get the smell out of this thin cheap wood structure, they should have just considered it a total loss and left it there, the insurance would have covered its loss and a write-off. The crew were really helpful and understanding, but thumbs down to the whoever ordered the repo just so low considering the shed's state, better to leave it rot where it was, sheltering others till it did.
At this point I don't see how any of that can be profitable, these things were probably bought with covid money😮 or something that's not coming in anymore.
I bought a fixer house in the same price range as a shed, problem is two stories tall plus full height attic and comes covered in many layers of free lead paint. Sure would be easier to fix up a one level shed.
@@AJZona-AJR79 you would have lots of free time to do more fun and interesting things than having to maintain a big home. I can't afford a shed nor ca do any upkeep. But I did downsize into a 2 room with a bath studio apt. in a tri plex. It has been remodeled and landlord is good about fixing things. He also does the mowing and snow shoveling . And all utilities are included. 600/ mo.. I just maintain my flowers.

My prayers are to the less fortunate. I feel awful for the unfortunate homeless ppl and the poor animals. Blessings to ALL!! 😢 Breaks my heart for them. Poor dog and cat...hope everyone is in a safe place! PRAYERS to ALL the homeless, human and animals. Sad!!! 😢😢😢
I feel bad for the animals but those people look capable of working, even if it's odd jobs. Or they both may be on disability or assistance. What are they doing with their money? Shed payments are usually around $200 monthly. That payment should be the priority especially since the shed is their home. It seems the sister and neighbors don't like these residents and sound glad to be rid of them.Poor animals though 😭
Agree! A lot of people are not financially literate and have not been taught how to manage their money. Not everyone had a good childhood to know what to do in many situations 😢😢
I did the same thing! Best decision of my life. I freed myself from a lifetime of rent and mortgages for $20k cash and even got an acre of land included!!! So now it's just paying a little over $400 a year in taxes!❤😊❤😊
Isn't some bullshxt that we still gotta pay taxes on something we "own"? It never ends... well, eventually ☠️💀☠️ Only way you get out from underneath it, lol.

West Virginians are such good, kind people, as this video confirms, no shouting or fighting. Everyone is kind to each other, even though they are all in a very stressful situation.
I lived in a 10x16 for three years to save for a house and pay off my truck. It was totally worth it but now that I have a house I miss the shed :( can't win lol

@@l0lan00b3 the only problem with renting a house out is that tenants always need something done. some houses in my area are rental. nearest one to me, which i can see all activity in, in under a year they have flooded the basement (hazmat emergency team on scene), replaced the carpeting (unrelated to basement), a bunch of other service trucks weekly, full landscaping contract to keep that up. tldr the overheard is insane. you really need several rental properties to make it work. be very wary of renting your sole residence out, might cost you more than you make from it
I learned a new word today shituation..😂 You showed them courtesy and respect in this very awkward, nasty and toxic situation. You are a gentleman. 👍🏻😎
I literally had to pick my jaw up from this one. I live in a nice RV and take great care to make sure its clean and the outside is presentable. Just because you choose to live a simple life doesn't mean you have to be sloppy and disgusting.
Thank you ! I’m from the south & when I see that mess it sickens me. My grandma would say You can be dirt poor but still be clean. Just they way they lived & all the trash on the outside was disgusting 🤮 How lazy is that ! I hate to say it ( but that’s white trash at it’s finest) 🤬😱🤬😱
I graduated in 1980. The first thing I bought was an acre of land and a mobile for $5750. I still live in the same place 44 years later. If you do the math that averages out to be $11 a month it has cost me for a place to live so far. Next year it will average out to be $1 a month I have paid for a place to live. I am a jack of all trades and have kept my mobile home up very well throughout my life. If something needed repaired or replaced I did the work right away I never put any of the repairs off. I love living out in the country and not having to listen to rules of what I can't do. 3 bedroom two bath. Just me, my wife, and two dogs live here. I have no doubt I will be here the rest of my life if God is willing. ❤
These videos show you how blessed you are when you feel like you just can't take poverty another day. It's reassuring knowing there's others who are definitely worse off. Prayers go up for them..
I don't mean this in a cold hearted manner BUT when I see these situations I always feel for the poor ole dogs? People at least can understand what is happening but the poor old dog just sees there home leaving? 😢
@Bradleysmith9431. Do you think that they understand that their shelter has been taken? This is a real question I’m interested in the answer. Do they understand that safety of the den is being taken?
@@bradleysmith9431 I don’t think that is the issue. This animal, like so many domesticated , will be subjected to additional poor life issues of those losers passed down. Animals have no voice.
The whole time watching this, I’m worrying about the dog that’s walking around the premises and I’m thinking, is this the only home he’s known and now it’s about to disappear? That said, you did a fine job of taking care of a difficult situation. Pure professionalism.
I'm a dealer for a shed manufacturer. We had a repo come in a few months back that was full of dog crap, dog prints on the walls where they had stepped in it and then tried to dig their way out of windows and the door, needles everywhere, and random other junk mixed in. The sad thing is they had done some really good sheetrock work in there and it was on its way to being a decent little home until whatever happened to cause them to go completely off the rails. Meth we assumed.
Makes you wonder where did the inhabitants of this shed go after the first few minutes of this vid ? Probably the only reason they just left everything to the repo guys is they were likely on meth & didn't want to be around when their "stash" was found on the premises.
@@MLM111 That may be true in some cases. But my point still stands about money for other countries. Some people lost their houses because Biden ruined the economy. It’s not always their fault. Maybe they lost a job or got sick. Stop being so judgmental.
Even though the actual client was long gone, you showed amazing respect in moving the people's property from the shed. Kudos to you. I hit a really rough patch a few years ago and my Mercedes SLK got temporarily repo'd. The tow truck driver obviously had zero idea how to haul that car and flat destroyed my interior... Dash panels, removed fuse panel, screwed up the ignition switch and ripped off half the front bumper valence. THOUSANDS in repair costs. Had to actually sue, as he denied all the damage. Luckily I had time stamped photos of the evening before he towed it. (thanks to a buddy for suggesting that)
I learned the hard way after being sued by a slumlord who trashed his house, then sued me to take as many pictures as you can. I was broke at the time and didn't have the money to even get film (yes, long ago). Now I take pictures before, during and after, and also keep a running journal of when I ask them to fix something, how many times I have to ask, and how long it takes.
Man, trying to compare you having your Mercedes repo against someone’s house is on a whole other level! I understand what you mean about the damage but there’s a stark difference and the reality of comparison
Farm and rural dogs frequently run loose. They have a reletive next door, and the people and the dogs will be taken care of. These people are used to living with next to nothing, and they will adapt.
If I had a shed right now I'd consider it luxury living. In fact I'm in the process of researching what shed to buy because I want to turn it into a tiny home. A shed like this would be a dream come true for me.
I’ve lived in a 12x30 shed house for over 5 years with my son, dog, and 3 aquariums. It’s well done. We have a laundry room and a bathroom, then the kitchen and living/bedroom are in the main space. And my son’s room is upstairs. It’s been fun, but we’ve outgrown this place. We’re going to build something bigger and more normal soon. With actual bedrooms. 😂
My Son! Whatever they are paying you, it's not enough! I can't imagine doing that not knowing what you're in for! I picture 4 or 5 burly lads chilling out after a hunt and a few wobbly pops in them and you show up and say, "Sorry, but I have to take your house." And you are basically doing it alone aside from your point driver that is. You are top dog in my book!
You were Very Respectful of Possessions so Good for you. It’s something that these people will need to get a handle on if that’s even possible at this stage of life. 🤔🙏
Regardless of how they’re living, being respectful is never a bad practice. With the economy like it’s going, we could all be headed for living in whatever shed we can afford.
Your trailer and the way the hydraulics can move the trailer laterally to the side is amazing. Your whole rig is amazing. You handled that entire situation with professionalism and respect - not anything more a person can do. I worked with people in WV, going to their homes for medical services, some of the back areas are very difficult to get to - scary to drive some of the areas b/c of elevation and road conditions. I was working with people who were expecting me and gave permission for me to come but all the people I ever delt with were kind and smart people who just happened to live in areas that were very hard to access at times. As far as 'living in a shed' comment, some of our ancestors would have been thrilled to have a shed like this provided - it's all on expectation. And people in this time and place normally have insulation in their walls, drywall or paneling etc. I knew what you meant and understood - people sometimes just can't/don't do better, - that's reality.
As I watch your videos I'm extremely happy that my son has paid off his 10 by 20 ft shed. I'm currently living in this shed until my tiny house is done. If properly done these little buildings are awesome.
Sir I found you and your father to be very respectful people don't have to be dirty sometimes you do have to live in the shed if it's all you can afford. Marie from Tennessee

Braver than me to reach under there and clear away the pallets and blocks. Great hiding places for snakes and WV has lots of snakes! Hope this job pays well - this could go sideways in so many ways. At least the neighbors were helpful.
@@mythicnoetic think you may be right. Dude mentioned the smell but mentioned it especially in connection to the "stove" when he was moving it out. That creosote smell can get really strong and really nasty after awhile if you don't keep your wood burning stove and chimney clean, especially if you're using certain woods a lot (pine is really bad about creosote buildup). I do think that smell might keep a lot of critters from making that place home. They're even more sensitive to it than people. Plus, the dog was under the house. I imagine he'd let them know if it was snakes close by. Here in Florida we have tons of snakes, several quite venomous, and many dogs will point out the intruder for you. Cottonmouths have been especially bad here the past couple years, just all in people's suburban yards, all stretched out on walkways and such, not even in overgrown areas. We let the black snakes live to try to chase them off.
Nope, a lot more than that! Plus, add late fees and the compounded interest ... and end up with a building that costs 3x more than tge asking price, and started losing vue the .instead it left the parking lot.

What he meant was that it wasn't insulated or finished in any way inside. In the hills of West Virginia, that's a good way to freeze to death come January. Plus, there seems to be no water source nearby- not just no running water inside but nothing at all to access or store clean water. That is considered "unliveable". If you had kids or elderly in that situation, you'd be criminally charged for neglect, at the very least.
It is about the size of the vacation cabins in some of my local state parks. There's room for a toilet, sink, and shower; a little bedroom with a bunk bed; and a small living room/kitchen area in the front. They are nice cozy little places.
Legally, no alterations or improvements can be made to the structure until the building is paid off. After its paid off, these building can be made into anything people want. There are lots of very nice small homes built from these shells - but they were owned free and clear first.
They absolutely "do not" advertise them as "tiny homes". They advertise that they could be upgraded to "tiny homes" (insulation, wiring, running water, etc.) but only after they have been paid for.
@@trfflyboy and with a good amount of upgrades- like insulation, finishing the walls and floor, placing it somewhere accessible to clean water, if not also electricity, etc. It's definitely not sone "ready to go" home at first purchase.
True. You can make them livable, but this one in particular was built completely out of treated lumber. The siding was treated the floor was treated. Treated would is not supposed to be used in a living area especially if it’s exposed. If you cover it up then that’s different. But they didn’t do any finish work inside on this one.
When I was a child, we went up to the mountains to visit older relatives. The home had an odor that smelled badly. Find out later in life, my great uncle was burning number two in his stove when he was low on fuel.
I think it’s so people in the area get the word out that there are not free sheds for sale. Make it annoying enough for them it’s not worth buying it without the monthly funding.

Cannot believe these guys basically go alone into this type of scenario. What a tough set of characters they must be to do this seemingly disgusting work on their own or with very little back up. Very, very well done that man, hopefully a safe journey to base and it certainly gives viewers a different view of what some American "homeowners" can be like, and nothing like we see on screen! Great result Sir.
I live in a small town in West Virginia. I can just about guarantee that all that crap and garbage will be tossed onto the mountain side. Winter months show all the garbage tossed on the sides of mountains here when the greenery is gone. It’s such a shame but people don’t care! You’ll find dumps on the sides of the roads where people throw out tires, couches, tarps and mattresses. It’s unbelievable how they have destroyed our beautiful landscape in this state.
True that. My in-laws from near Williamson. They kept their house and yard neat as a pin. Next door neighbors started junking up things so bad his folks sold out and built a place up a holler.
My folks live outside Paw Paw WV and you’re right, once the leaves fall I always joke with my nieces and nephew acting like it’s a fall crop “wow, those meat lockers really had a good season” there’s very limited garbage service in that area and people don’t want to take what little income available to pay the junkyard. So if something breaks it just gets rolled down then steepest hillside over time the forest swallows up the appliances
I think everywhere deals with that, sadly. Here in NW Florida, we have it, too. People are too lazy to properly dispose of stuff, so they ditch it in empty lots (if they're "nice enough") or on the side of the road wherever they feel. Sadly, the worse the economy and housing crisis gets, the worse the illegal dumping becomes (at least around here anyway).
Thank you ! That’s the way I was taught. I’m from the South my family didn’t have a lot of money either But clean house, clean clothes and a pride in oneself.

So i live on a corner, the front of my house faces one street and my backyard is on the other street so there's a house next to my backyard where the shed is, recently new people moved in, my town is predominantly Hispanic, I'm working on the shed when the woman comes out, they just came from the Dominican Republic, she says to be in broken English, Oh you making your house bigger? Later i went online and looked up the Dominican Republic and what I saw shocked me, there were buildings just like my shed that people lived in, the streets if you can call them that were dirt, this was in 2001. I think you dodged a huge bullet on this one. As bad as the smell was, if those people had decided to be combative, with no cell service, you’d have had your hands full. They seemed pretty complacent, so at least you didn’t have to deal with any confrontation. In a lot of situations dealing with desperate people, things can go south very quickly. Glad you made it out safely, without any drama. Looking forward to the next video, keep the good work going! 👍
@JoshA85 I’m sure he does, but does anyone really want to take it to that level? My takeaway has always been 5 minutes after the confrontation, everyone is just happy it’s over with. Nothing is worth the possibly of having to hurt someone, or possibly taking their life.
@JoshA85 Well Josh, for me, there’s a third option, if I’m nervous, I just walk away, and handle it another day, another way. If that option isn’t available, then whatever steps that need to be taken will be done. Most situations can be handled a lot of different ways, hopefully without anyone getting hurt, sometimes it’s not possible, but keeping your options short can lead to consequences you might not want to deal with in the aftermath.
@JoshA85 Well, I’m not afraid of anything my friend, but sometimes common sense trumps a big bravado, usually the ones making the biggest noise, have the least amount of ability to back it up, so if you run into one of those, the best bet is to just walk away, because you hurting them, proves absolutely nothing. Acting the part of a tough guy, might get you hurt, or in jail, you never know where the other guy has been, or what he knows, unless hands are placed on, it’s not worth it.

Poor indigent people do a lot of things. Better than a tent!
Repoing a shed in a remote West Virginia holler, with no cell service, and no idea what the people are going to be like. You, sir, are a much braver man than I am.
You don't have to be very brave when you're packing heat
only way i'd do that job. hope i would not need the heat but ready to protect myself. these people do this to themselves. usually if your having trouble paying, you can talk to these people about the money you owe and reach an agreement. that has worked for me in the past. this repo service is no doubt very expensive and the shed owner has to back up the agreement for non-payment.

I think the stench might have kept the snakes away
@Heavyisthecrown because the rich politicians have made it that way
What he meant was that it wasn't insulated or finished in any way inside.

Did they have plumbing? Electric ⚡,m

@@hanniballecter4283I wish. I paid 10k for a 14x32. Most of these people probably can't buy one outright, and accumulate interest.

They were hiding in the bushes lol
And the cats as well.
And the cats as well.
Probably armed
Thought same. Would be prudent to do so. @@Heavyisthecrown
You are the most patient person I have ever seen doing REPO work.
I live on the Texas Mexico border the FIRST thing that all of the illegals do is absolutely trash everything
True that. My in-laws from near Williamson. They kept their house and yard neat as a pin. Next door neighbors started junking up things so bad his folks sold out and built a place up a holler.
Same with the lovely desert here in NM.
I lived in a shed for a year, had everything I needed electricity fans, refrigerator and microwave, I loved it, miss it.
Why did you leave
Can't date no nice ladies when you be living in that shed
People can be so disgusting, doesn't matter how poor you are it doesn't cost money to clean yourself and your place up.
Thank you !
That’s the way I was taught.
I’m from the South my family didn’t have a lot of money either
But clean house, clean clothes and a pride in oneself.
EXACTLY RIGHT
Absolutely this!!!
its not going to smell good with multiple people with no shower access. pretty steep hill toon if you got to do some bathroom stuff.
Ever drive thru the hood. They got 100k cars yet garbage everywhere
Hell yeah I watched all the way to the end! I'm a contractor myself so I really enjoy watching a master at his craft handle that type of operation. I had one a y'all move a large storage building for me in NC that I did not think could be moved but that guy handled it like a real pro.
I have to say you are good at what you do. I also love the things your trailer can do to help you out. I have never seen one that does all that moving and tilting. Have a good day.
I kept hoping someone would give the poor dog water
I know!!!
Dog has probably relied on a creek for water his whole life. Gotta be one of the states with highest welfare recipients.

Hi, I'm 90 years old from Southern California. You are showing everybody's faces but your own I thought well what does he look like kept wondering and when you finally did show your face I was pleasantly surprised cuz at 90 years old I still know what looks good LOL boy I was really watching this intently I never seen something like that how you did that but that was better than watching a movie I hope I can see some more things like that from you I mostly sitting in my recliner or out in the patio this was good.🥰🥰

Made my day Diana! Refreshing to see a 90 year old "woman" still has her game.

"Shed Snatcher" you sure had your work cut out for you that day. It's a sad situation all around, but I'm glad those neighbor folks helped you out some. I enjoyed seeing how your trailer works. And I hope the dog and kittycat will be okay. Take care.
You guys are so respectful and gentle with their stuff and that is admirable. You were very professional during this whole process. 💯🤜🤛 I hope that poor doggy and cat find a home
You are such a good person, the way you approached them without judgement. Times are tough and a lot of people would be on the streets if they didn’t suck up their last bit of will for life and do all the work that was done to procure and convert a shed. Tough job, done with grace. Thank-you for being human. ❤️

I ordered a 8 by 12 foot shed kit from home Depot in 2001, it was delivered in my driveway, I'm in a city not out in the country. After i built it i realized that i should have gotten a bigger one, i was in luck because this particular company made add-ons so i ordered a four foot section, it took some doing but after taking the one side apart i successfully added the addition. My shed is still standing and is still in good condition, it does need some maintenance but it doesn't leak one bit and here in New Jersey where i live near the coast we get some pretty bad coastal storms.
That seems like a nice simple option to live in a nice building like that,
As long as you keep it up and presentable.
Without a bath room or kitchen….and a barrel for heating I don’t think so,that’s dangerous.
@@IJUSTWANNAFLYDJIDRONES71lol, ok. What did most folks have 250 years ago? Central heat n air weren’t available yet, barrels were pretty common place. You make do with what you’ve got!! That barrel is a lot more heat than what I had this past winter!! You may not want to judge till you know the facts!!!

WV is stunning. I love being a Mountaineer !!!
Dude you handled that like a total CHAMP
I have friends who wish they had a shed like this it looks beautiful
But burning up hot during summer, freezing cold during winter with no walls inside nor insulation. Defeats the purpose even if you have an AC or heater.
Love the two people sitting on the porch….. the ‘lady’ with her paws in a bag of chips she probably should think twice about eating lMAO 😂😂😂😂. This world is full of surprises. You all do a great job!

No running water, insulation, bathroom. Uninhabitable
@@karengerace7506 People live with far less all over the globe, including in America.
@@karengerace7506it can be managed, but no insulation would be an issue in the winter. An outhouse or composting toilet, properly maintained, and enough sobriety to get up and clean the house every day and bathe would make it habitable.
They weren't really living the off-grid life like a cabin in the woods, they had a shed to drink in.
I hope that poor dog calmed down.
Not in the winter. W. Virginia winters in those mountains are brutal.
Amen truly
..they're probably burning their own sh!t in that makeshift Barrel stove
@JoshA85 Well, I’m not afraid of anything my friend, but sometimes common sense trumps a big bravado, usually the ones making the biggest noise, have the least amount of ability to back it up, so if you run into one of those, the best bet is to just walk away, because you hurting them, proves absolutely nothing. Acting the part of a tough guy, might get you hurt, or in jail, you never know where the other guy has been, or what he knows, unless hands are placed on, it’s not worth it.
I admire your kindness and respect! Thank you!
I’m a 61 year old lady I absolutely love your videos! You are the bomb!
