@@olbapoli4074I’d say Brolin will be talked about in 50 years. He was the biggest villain in one of the most profitable franchises in film history, and was the star of one of the best films of its era, No Country for Old Men. Having just one of those to your resume is big.
@@CantTellYou He'd be unique in humanity if he didn't have a father! For those who don't know, his father is actor James Brolin who's married to Barbra Streisand. He's actually more famous for being handsome than his acting, imo.
Ok, gotta say it. That conversation piece was the closest I’ve come to seeing two dudes talk like girls. Both talking at the same time and somehow making it work so us other dudes can understand. Respect.
Old Chapelle was the best he was like your teenage best friends when your together and start making jokes and doing crazy as heck things to get a laugh together
This is totally true. A few months after he quit his show and was supposedly going crazy, he did a surprise show in a small club in SF my friend and I won tickets to on the radio. We sat front row directly in front of him. He showed up and did half the show prepared, then opened up to the audience… “what do y’all wanna talk about?” And people were shouting out “Carlos Mencia” (who had essentially become the stand-in for his type of sketch show on Comedy Central), other random stuff, then asked what happened with his show. He was hesitant to talk, probably for legal reasons. He said: “imagine you worked your whole life, and the network brings you into a room and on the floor is largest pile of cash you’ve ever seen. Pretend this stool is the pile of cash. They say ‘it’s yours Dave, go ahead and touch it!’ And right as you do…” and he held the mic by the cord near his crotch and dropped the mic like a big d on top of the stool so it made a thud sound 😂
It was Portland that he came and did the Comedy in the park at Pioneer Square not Seattle. I was there. It was too loud unfortunately with the large crowd being predictably unruly. But it was cool. Dave stuck it out and tried to make it work. ‘I’ll never forget him joking, never tell anyone in Portland a secret.” Apparently he told someone at the gym he might be there doing some jokes and word spread like wild fire. Around the time the kids on the Starbucks roof started stripping, Dave was like, enough of this shit. Massive respect to Dave for doing stuff like that.
Reminds me of how Bob Dylan didnt go with the pressures to stick to what other people wanted of him....and stuck to his true self. Became a Legend as a result
Dave Chappelle's story about how he walks around his house and pulls his jokes and stories from a bowl and just practices them around the house was funny story and smart way to practice.
I scroll down to look at the comments while the video is playing and it's now a conversation between Joe Rogan and Thanos talking about Dave Chappelle.
Walked by a group of guys quoting “Player Haters Ball” at a bar in West Virginia tonight. Had to chime in. They even knew the “skittles” outtake with Patrice. This specific town in West Virginia is the only one in which you’d come across that situation, it’s a bubble town.
0:19 Lmao. Dave lives in Yellow Springs, not Springfield. Dave has called himself the local "Krusty the Clown" of his hometown so maybe that's why Rogan got it confused or maybe he's talking about it since Donald Trump made it famous.
Chapelle is great he's series with the Prince stuff and the Charlie Murphy stuff too but he's stand up is real good up there with Pryor ,Eddie , and the greats
Just a minor correction, Dave lives in Yellow Springs. It is not far from Springfield but has a completely different vibe, like Portland without the homeless people
He definitely does it for the money. He was trying to recover the money from that Comedy Central deal 💰 that he walked away from. Eventually, he finally got the Netflix deals. Don't forget he also wanted payment for shows he was already paid for through syndication. He's bad with deals and money, but that doesn't mean he doesn't find money useful
Chappell had a deal with cc for 50% of the earnings of his show, but they didn't know he would gross $100 million so they offered him 50 million and he refused to come back for the following season

Brolin is cool as hell. He's always been that way.
Josh Brolin is fuckin great! Gotta love him! Now I wanna watch Sicario again 😂

I can see why he broke down and escaped to Africa in 2005. He's a lion and they tried to put a collar and leesh on him.
