- The sudden changes in decklist this month mainly due to Voiceless Voice joining the meta, ive seen ppl calling it mid but the truth is, its a very good deck on ladder, just becuz its worse than Fire King or Yubel doesnt make it mid, same goes to Centur-Ion which u should always respect cuz the matchup against a single Cosmic Blazar is actually notorious for Sky Striker. Back to the topic, with all The Voiceless running around, builds with Change of Heart/Mind Control (and unfortunately the newly unlimited Snatch Steal) suffers significantly, sure u can still use them but if u run into those fairies, a big portion of ur cards will be dead, so i decided to scratch all of them and instead play non targetting board breakers like Raigeki and Evenly matched. To that fellow who asked me the other day for a way to deal with Raidraptor, i actually saw only one in day 1 and then none all the way from D5 to M1, so i cant really put anything into the deck for em, we just gotta prioritize the builds that work against the meta. *Cards that showed up in replays but didnt make it to the final decklist: - ROTA: if you find urself brick up and cant find a starter then running this is never bad, in my case i found myself usually drawing ROTA alongside raye so it was pretty iffy, cut this card becuz i didnt brick without it at all...obviously u could still run it - Dark Hole and Forbidden Droplet: Replaced by more copies of Evenly, these 2 could be better than evenly if u draw it with any of ur spells after u already had sth face up on the board but drawing evenly is much better early on so that u can use thrust to search sth else instead. One thing to note is that, we cant go for the OTK approach like the last 2 months anymore so the BP is not essential which makes sense for evenly to fit in (the only problem is that evenly makes replays less exciting lmao). *Notable changes: - Upstart Goblin is not something i run in quite a while becuz in the past i found it irritating that sometimes my opppoents were at less than 1k and i ran out of ED monsters --> they won. So whenever u see me run Upstart i usually have an Avarice just in case. And in OTK builds we had recently, definitely no upstarts there. this month we prioritize breaking the board then go for the grind game so the approach needs to change as well. - Prohibition is phenomenal this month, even better than i expected, the problems we usually have is that after breaking their board, we dont have enough for their next turn follow-ups, thats why the OTK builds were the go-to for me. However now that Voiceless Voice joined the party, we have to do something about it as its extremely difficult to OTK that deck with all the targeting protection. Prohibition sometimes helps u play into a board yes but its main role is to prevent the follow ups and its extremely effective against Voiceless Voice in particular. Prohibition also came in clutch in games that r not featured in replays, based on MD toggle, sometimes u can even guess the handtraps. Plenty of games i actually used prohibition on Ash, Ghost ogre, Effect veiler and Imperm and it paid off big time. This card is definitely better if u blind 2nd and depends on which meta, u can definitely run this in ur deck. - Now this is not decklist related but.....in M2 i got 2 games in a row my opponents forced me to go first even tho their decks were Voiceless Voice and Centur-Ion so i assumed those knew i was playing Sky Striker (?) (Note that u dont see the sleeves until after the coin toss btw) so i can just assume that my video reached them, also the other day someone commented on my video right after they ran into me on the ladder. This is what im happy about but also needs to take cautions of lol, therefore i changed my name to finish the rest of my climb from M2 to M1. It shouldnt be a problem if u play going first but when u blind 2nd....its not great. Anyway, Thanks yall for watching, if u have any questions, feels free to comment down below!
Change your name for the climb. This should stop the issue with them knowing your deck. I'm using neutral sleeves just in case. Or you could troll and go for full Blue Eyes setup or something simililar with themed sleeves, pal, and field.
Yo, SS otp here, i was coming back to MD from like a year and a half break just to see how majority of meta decks just makes me feel dizzy on their combos. I just can't understand 100% what they are doing or what are they capable off since i'd never played other deck than Strikers. I just can identify the "core problem" cards they put in the board and try to deal with them with my spells. Thats why i would love to see more videos of you playing SS, breaking the meta boards and explaining how their decks works or how to stop their follow up after breaking their board, stuff like the "don't let the synchro touch the GY" for centurion or learn to be patient on CalledBy to ensure the resolve of thurst single handedly won me games. Tips like that are so helpfull to ppl like me so we can "update" and learn from how you rationalize your plays. Waiting for your next video bro
Nice videos. It's hard to find sky striker videos with GOOD qualities. And i REALLY enjoy the explanation in ur comment section. I learned a lot from it about the rationale behind each cards. Thank you so much! Please keep up with the good work!
thanks for the informative videos and comments! I’m looking for a good going second deck, deciding on whether to build an 8-axis or SS deck right now. But leaning a little more towards ss. Now i’ll have to decide on the handtrap or boardbreaker version.
I played striker early days of MD when I was first getting back into Yugioh. Always added updated cards to the list etc. I saw this list and went wtf only 2 Raye and 2 Linkage, where is Rota etc. Prohibition what?! 😂 I loaded it up as I have all the URs for the build and man this is the funnest way I’ve ever played strikers. It all clicks into place. Well played on making such a fantastic build and making master 1. I hit master 3 not long ago with Vanquish Soul but looking to try this striker list out a lot this season.
Man, i've been wanting to get back into MD. I dropped out after halqifibrax got hit and I didn't know what to do with SS anymore. To see a decklist that only runs 3 monters is wild to me lol. It looks realy fun.
@@muhammadaldyhassan6438 lmao maybe when u feel like the meta is too broken, evenly matched will help narrow the gap between meta decks and rogue decks therefore the games closer to being...."even"
VERY NICE VIDEO, one of the bests ive seen abou Sky Striker. I really like the notes u put explaining why u do this and that its very helpful, i lost a lot of games that i think i could've won, sky is a very difficult deck "at least for me" bc u can search alot of cards and have to think hard or u might lose bc of a bad decision. I really like the thought of running Ccyclone, looks awesome against Centurion and voiceless (even agaisnt fite king to remove the field spell xD), ill remove my change of hearts and put 1 or 2 cyclones. About the Proibition seems a very cool techcard that ill try to, i run a tottally goingsecond SS so might help. Thanks a lot for the video and for read this (i wrote i lot bc im practicing my english) xD
Oh another thing, im running that spell that banish 5 cards in The graveyard, against Centurión iknow its bad but idk against voiceless i never fought them, Any thoughts? (Im a diamond player)
I'm relatively new in Yu-gi-oh, I've been playing abystial synchro with toy and red fiend engine and I don't quite understand the win condition for sky strikers, but thanks to your video I think I understand better now, is some kind of spell control. I would love to try out the archetype sometime when I get more gems, since I really like the art. Congrats on getting Rank 1 btw!
Sky Striker is a grind game. You try to slowly get the upper hand by putting spells into the grave and then use Engage to draw more and more cards. To me, the fun with this deck is, there's almost no combos. You have to act according on what your opponent does. It's very rewarding.
Yo, did high rank ygo player really do that cursor traveling in entire board seems trying to read the enemy movement card and condition in future? That was sick! I kinda want to do it to sometimes, it makes me like pro 😂
Haha wtf this is my first yugioh video, neither player even reads the cards, both just play one after another, Im not sure if I saw more cards or more differrent animations
@@absence9443 brother, they r replays, not live gameplay, there r no downtimes during replays, if u play it live, ofc ur gonna have to pause and think.
Gotta remember that Prohibition tech, it's great for messing with grind games. Don't really care for Upstart Goblin though, would rather have more Thrust targets or immediately impactful cards, so I'll probably stick to running Droplet and Soul Release in my Board Breaker Build(though I find a build with potential setups for going first can be decent, though it has to built a LOT differently because you're going to be on either hand traps or side engines). I Might also consider running a second Multirole or Area Zero to make better use of Heavy Storm shenanigans. I don't know what it is about Hercules Base, but every time I cut it I find myself in situations where I wish I could put back my stuff with it, and for Pot of Avarice I have the opposite problem where it shows up in opening hands where I have little way to get 5 monsters in GY in one turn, so I always end up finding the "bad equip" better than the overly situational Draw Spell. But I doubt it'll work like that for most other people. Cosmic seems iffy, I'd rather just negate I:P or Crimson Dragon directly and leave the opponents wide open. VV has tons of backrow to hit with it, but that's also an issue since you have to open and go through so many copies for it to matter(and one of them ADDS targeting protection to their stuff on top of that, which covers one of their negation options).
@MarioLopez-xs3vc i think ur downplaying cosmic cyclone a bit - Against Centur-Ion, its better to just cyclone primera instead of negating crimson dragon becuz if they go into crimson dragon that means primera activated its effect safe and sound already --> they have their follow ups for next turn, with cosmic, it prevents both crimson dragon and said follow up at once. - Against Fire King, Cosmic is actually just a nuke button cuz they always have fire king island up, whether u decide to use it during ur turn or ur opponent's turn is up to u. - Against Yubel and Voiceless Voice, Cosmic cyclone is definitely not as effective as Lightning Storm in most cases but if u draw it, it still helps u play into their board meanwhile at the same time, acts as a disruption during their turn if u manage to break their board without needing to use it. U dont blind firing it off headfirst if u dont already map out ur plan, unless u need 3 spells in the GY ofc. I also think hercules base will give u the same problem as avarice when u open it in ur opening hand as well, becuz if u dont find a way to put 5 monsters in the GY which means ur opponent has a way to efficiently remove ur monster before u could link all the stuffs away, that also means u wont have any monster on the field to equip ur hercules base into so it actually is the same issue.
Great job on M1 yet again! 🎉 I randomly pulled a Snatch Steal and tried it out... sadly it's just not good rn. I am running into a bunch of Raidraptors and Majespecters and other rogue Towers stuff in low diamond rn which can be trouble since most spells are useless against them. Even worse if Majespectres search Secret Village. I'll try HEMP, Kaijus, Herald of the Abyss, Underworld Godddess or something else next time. Maybe you have any ideas of cards that work in those matchups and against the meta? Thanks for getting me into Strikers they are very fun 😁
@@icemythic6076 unironically those decks die to handtraps much harder than meta decks so handtrap version of sky striker works better against those than boardbreaker counterpart but sadly all im up against normally r those meta decks that can play through not just 1 but 2 or maybe even 3 handtraps so i dont feel like running handtraps rn, my builds r optimized to go against those meta decks so its normal that it loses to random rogue decks, u cant just win them all (unless u play meta ofc). And welcome to the fun side of blind 2nd :D
The only change I would make to your deck is adding Dark Ruler No More, if the objective is not OTK anymore. Then disrupting the field against negations with a card that can be searchable by TTT, is a must.
I would disagree there, Dark Ruler No More is meta dependant, against metas in which their endboard consists of mostly monsters that include both S/T and monster negates like Superheavy Samurai, Manadium for example, DRNM is extremely effective. Yet, against meta decks that hide their interactions (aka decks that have layered interactions) like Snake Eyes Fire King for example, their endboard doesnt represent all their interuptions, DRNM is definitely not the way to go for sky striker. The concept is just not the same, sure DRNM does something but in sky striker if their board is not a floodgate like naturia beast, u would hardly find urself using DRNM simply becuz u can handle monster negates easily through ur spells, the only things ur really worried about r S/T negates which is the only time DRNM would come in. Take the meta this month for example, the 4 most commons matchups r Centur-Ion, Voiceless Voice, SEFK and Yubel. - Against Centur-Ion, DRNM does very little, but not nothing, u can negate their blazar once it hits the field but the fact that u let it hit the field and u not being able to otk this turn cuz of DRNM effect is a dead sentence. Good Centur-Ion players would realize that and use phalanx to banish blazar for their next turn and dealing with a blazar with sky striker is no easy tasks. And thats only 1 thing DRNM can do in this matchup, nothing else, stopping them summoning blazar through widow anchoring crimson or cosmic cycloning primera is a better method to deal with this 1 thing so u certainly have better ways in this situation. - Against SEFK, with DRNM, u negate their appollousa (or I:P) and maybe avarta, but both of those r monster negates and as said above u can deal with monster negates via ur spells so DRNM is not really needed, not even to mention, SEFK still has a lot of interactions left after that, aside from garunix and promethean/amblowhale they tend to have lots of handtraps, i actually think DRNM is the most ineffective in this matchup, at least stopping the S:P is nice tho... - Against Yubel, this seems like a matchup where u would think DRNM does a lot, but no, its just as good as a raigeki or evenly or maybe worse...after using DRNM here their interactions pretty much go down to just only escape, and after escape pops unchained soul of rage, their yama will reborn rage for another form of disruption. But i can achieve the same goal if i use raigeki/lightning storm(yubel leaves the monster in ATK so u have to atk into them with nightmarepain up) or evenly, if not more thanks to the fact that their monsters effect would trigger immediately, which turns on my TTT right after, granting u the flexibility right off the bat. - Against Voiceless Voice, u can DRNM the Guardian, yet, they can actually summon it out again via their S/T and if that happens, u dont actually achieve much, since its a hard once per turn omni negate, i would prioritize to force it out asap so u wont have to deal with it later. With all of that being said, i still use DRNM if the meta end boards similar to the affirmentioned SHS or Mannadium or even pendulums (or Naturia Beasts turbo perhaps?) demand an immediate answer. Now the thing i hate most about DRNM is that, after uve managed to negate their monsters, u cant use widow anchors to take em anymore, which is one of the most common way u dismantle their boards through ur engines, thats always an issue i had using it in the past. Overall, i truly DRNM is never a "must" in sky striker and its been proven times and times again, the last meta i felt like DRNM was really good in was against spright which was more than a year ago and i dont think i used DRNM since then and never had any issues not running it, except for when SHS came around. Its still a good card in my collection, but as said above, meta dependant.
i really like the idea of going 0 handtraps and going full boardbreakers, seeing you easily fill the graveyard with 3 spells right away made me realize my deck list is really lacking that. -but why no maxx C? is them skipping their turn after you maxx C them bad for this strategy or do you just not need the extra draws? -also, what are your thoughts on surgical striker H.A.M.P? i love having a kaiju like monster searchable with engage, but i'm lower ranked and face stuff like raidraptor pretty often. thanks for posting these replays and giving such a detailed explanation in the pinned commment, i really learned a lot. i always stop 1 game before ranking up to diamond because i don't feel confident in going further, but seeing you break those insane boards makes me wanna try to go for master 5 next season. PS: i also really love the 3 cosmic cyclones. i added them too before seeing your list, maybe for the wrong reasons (i see a lot of floodgates), but watching you disrupt snake-eyes and centurion with them makes me think it's the way to go.
Hello, thanks for the comment - As for maxx C, its important to note that u only run it if u run a lot of other handtraps. Once u activated maxx C: + If your maxx C resolved, ur opponent might just stop comboing, resulting in a field of nothing, this is the worst thing that could happen if you play the boardbreaker builds, if they have no boards, ur boardbreakers r gonna be dead, ull just have to pass with a hand full of boardbreakers instead of handtraps (the other build) and will likely be ded next turn with nothing to defense urself except for maybe widow anchors which we both know, r not enough since they spent no resources to combo last turn so they likely have everything to play through ur anchors. + Now, if ur maxx C doesnt resolve, well, then why r u playing it. Its crucial to note that if u play blind 2nd, all the cards in ur hand matter, u would go from 6 cards to 5 trying to break their board, instead of maxx C, it could have been a much harder to negate boardbreaker. The timing to use maxx C as a sky striker player is also very awkward, as said above, u need all the cards u can get so u wanna use maxx C when it guarantees u at least a draw, ur deck is not a 1 card into full combo board like meta decks to be able to afford to always throw maxx C in DP or SP, that leads to another disaster when u try to maxx C for a guarantee draw during MP which plays horribly into TTT which rips another card out of ur hand. That could instead also lead to situation #1 when the maxx C resolved. 1 only good thing coming out of maxx C being negated is that ur opponent might spend an ash on it which in turn might protect ur draw spell on turn 2, thats the best case scenario but if its the called by the spend which should later be dealt with via ur evenly, lightning/heavy storm, duster anyway, ur losing the card economy games. ----> in short, i do use maxx C at times but only when i use the handtrap builds which i dont often use funnily enough (Also if i win without having to use maxx C, it definitely makes for better playing and watching experience, obviously i still meed maxx C in other decks, just not my typical blind 2nd strates). - As for H.A.M.P, i really wish the card was better, its fundamental flaw is that it needs a sky striker monster on the field to summon. That in itself makes the fact that it being searchable, a paradox. This is the closest example that happened to me everytime i tried to use HAMP. Purrely was the meta deck for a while and u would think that HAMP would do well there but no. HAMP, while searchable through engage, was the ded of me in many games, good players have their toggle on to decide what to do after they have seen ur search. If u engage for a HAMP, they know its there, then they start doing all the stuffs they can do before being tributed over. After that, since u already searched HAMP....u cant really go back in time to search sth else, surely ur not trying to tribute over a 0-1 mat noir for no value. Even worse, some deck could actually manage to remove ur raye even with her dodging effect (simply negate it on the chain), now u have a dead HAMP in the hand. Imo, i think kaiju type of monster works best if opponent doesnt know its coming, HAMP requiring a sky striker on the field is just a stab to its ambition for viability. If im dealing with unaffected monsters, i always prefer "herald of the abyss" or actual kaijus and try to thrust (for herald)/draw into them (in kaiju case). If ur running into a lot (i mean a lot for real) of raidraptors for some reason, u should stick with handtraps build cuz thats proven to be very effective against the birds if u negate the correct thing which not many ppl do (even i might use the wrong handtraps at the wrong time against them simply becuz i dont play against them at all) but thats not the problem if u see lots of raidraptors since u should know whats up by now. It all makes sense. With all of that being said, i wish u well on ur way to climb higher and hopefully u can achieve max rank with ur favourite decks!
Nice video Are you only playing 2 Raye and 0 Cyanos because you want to open more spells/board breakers? Or what's the reasoning? I'm trying to learn this deck.
@@Yeesus yes, mainly becuz u dont wanna draw multiple raye. Cyanos, imo, is not a good card to run right now, it makes the deck more vulnerable to a lot of stuffs but i do think there will be time it becomes good, just not atm.
Late to the party but the prohibition tech is genius. Every season you always deliver. I'm playing Ice Barrier right now and the deck is so weak if people just destroy the first ice barrier summoned. Why all of their extender need anther one on the field :( Btw, Lancea is a custom card, it's a shame that it's not an Ice barrier in name.
I wanna build a new deck thats good at going second and always hear about sky striker, seeing this vid made up my mind, would you wind sharing your list?

@xmv19 the problem is that u dont survive turn 3, decks with good follow ups on turn 3 such as the 4 best decks atm like yubel, fire king, centur-ion and voiceless can all kill u on turn 3. Morganite works in decks that have great survivability over the courses of several turns (takes paleo for example with rise to full height, waboku, rollback, etc) to slowly get back to the game through the 2 draws turn after turn, with sky striker u cant really do that. Now onto the next problem, the premise of blind 2nd sky striker is to break the board using the tools u have in ur hand, sometimes u have enough, sometimes more than enough and sometimes not enough, more often than not, if opponents have some sort of negates, if u activate morganite, they wont even bother to negate, which makes the task of breaking the board now become harder with 1 less card, morganite basically does nothing the turn its used and if u dont survive turn 3 or even turn 5 it wont be beneficial at all (if you think about it, even in draw phase on turn 4, morganite helps u +1 card --> neutralizing itself so ur card advantage go +0, then only on turn 5 u get +1 and so on, yep, once again, proved to be only good with decks that have a very slow but very hard to die gameplay [like paleo] ) All of that being said i dont think theres no way to use it in sky striker, but the decklist will be very different, waiting for the day that i can cook up with morganite (might be sooner than i think, that or it never happens lol).
@frozenbyicebeam Excuse me but how did you at 20:55 get to use sharkcannon after getting it with shizuko? The game doesn't let me activate it, it directly passes the turn to the opponent! Obviously I made sure there were monsters in the opponent's graveyard!
At least, in the game menu outside the duels it says “on.” But while playing the game, in the bottom right corner it says “auto,” but if I click on it, it doesn't change
Have you considered including some losses in your videos? Not the boring ones but maybe the ones where you play well, come close to winning, but fall just short. I feel like it would add some variety to the games in your videos and keep the viewers guessing. They could also be some cool teaching moments in them too.
Yeah i actually considered it, but its actually harder to have those since i have a high expectation for replays. If my opponents do something too silly or if they dont put up a decent field for example, i tend to skip those even tho in that game i play super well. Its also the fact that viewers know my hand, opponents dont, "misplays" to viewers r sometimes reasonable plays for opponents who dont have perfect info, a lot of times i spend times thinking about why they make such plays and deciding if that is an acceptable reaction or not. I have more replays recorded than what its shown in the vid for sure, might be double the amount but through editing, i have to cut a lot due to them not meeting my standard, and so far, theres no losing replays in which i came close to winning but fall short becuz most of the time, in the games i lose, i either know im gonna lose from the start based on the known interaction + cards i draw from my hand or i know im gonna lose after i broke their board cuz of other decks follow ups, for example, technically, breaking a SEFK board is sth i do times to times but not all the time i can otk, it might seem to the viewers that i cleared their board and lost next turn, which makes it "close" but in my mind, it was never close, since i know they were gonna win that game anyway. My definition of "close" is more strict than mormal. All of that being said, u can rest assure that i always have eyes for losing replays and if they r worth posting and meet my standard, i would definitely give em the spotlight. I also used to have the full climb in live section in the past so that ppl sometimes can understand whats going on in all the games that i play, sadly i cant do that rn due to my work schedule or my low quality mics, i also play worse when i play and talk to explain at the same time but that shouldnt be the main issue.

Yeah, i mean, thats basically my june and july decklist (snatch steal was mind control) but one of the common matchups in higher ranks this month is voiceless voice and CoH/Mindcon/Snatch is terrible against that deck, u would be bricking hard, i actually mentioned it in the long ass pinned comment.
I have bad experience with desires in the past so i only use desires in builds that finish the game fast and not in builds that go into long grind games. Obviously im not against ppl using desires either since i use it myself (just not all the time), its a good card but if u have bad experiences with the card in the past, i dont think u should get fixtated on using it at all costs. About Avarice, i use it whenever i have Upstart in my deck becuz sometimes i go into the grind games without being able to finish em off fast enough due to the extra LP from Upstart, i need sth to recycle the ED monsters and Avarice is usually the choice. With all of that being said, if u track back all of my Sky Striker builds (i have different builds every month), iirc, i definitely used Desires much more than Avarice which means i still think Desires is a better card + generally easier to fit in different builds and Avarice is very specific in its usage if i wanna achieve a certain goal.

Also i always mention why some cards were taken out in the pinned comment.
@@SHenry-ft6te u mean the mirror matches? Thats quite an odd question consider sky striker is not a common deck on ladder and ur objective in order to climb is beating meta decks, u would be lucky to run into 1 but in case ur wondering, i did run into a couple of them this season and won both games, i might have ran into the 3rd one and forgot tho, vividly.
@@frozenbyicebeam I guess that makes sense ,I built my sky striker deck when the alternate arts came out so I played 20+ sky striker players on the climb. I also main trickstars coincidentally, and I main unchained and swordsoul/Centurion hybrid. Made it to master with all decks, trickstars being the hardest doing that in snake eye meta when it first released. But my trickstar deck is the most fun when u get a good hand. It has all kinds of random fun cards I tossed into it.
*Cards that showed up in replays but didnt make it to the final decklist:
- ROTA: if you find urself brick up and cant find a starter then running this is never bad, in my case i found myself usually drawing ROTA alongside raye so it was pretty iffy, cut this card becuz i didnt brick without it at all...obviously u could still run it
- Dark Hole and Forbidden Droplet: Replaced by more copies of Evenly, these 2 could be better than evenly if u draw it with any of ur spells after u already had sth face up on the board but drawing evenly is much better early on so that u can use thrust to search sth else instead. One thing to note is that, we cant go for the OTK approach like the last 2 months anymore so the BP is not essential which makes sense for evenly to fit in (the only problem is that evenly makes replays less exciting lmao).
*Notable changes:
- Upstart Goblin is not something i run in quite a while becuz in the past i found it irritating that sometimes my opppoents were at less than 1k and i ran out of ED monsters --> they won.

(Note that u dont see the sleeves until after the coin toss btw) so i can just assume that my video reached them, also the other day someone commented on my video right after they ran into me on the ladder.

Sky Striker is a grind game. You try to slowly get the upper hand by putting spells into the grave and then use Engage to draw more and more cards. To me, the fun with this deck is, there's almost no combos. You have to act according on what your opponent does. It's very rewarding.

@MarioLopez-xs3vc i think ur downplaying cosmic cyclone a bit
- Against Centur-Ion, its better to just cyclone primera instead of negating crimson dragon becuz if they go into crimson dragon that means primera activated its effect safe and sound already --> they have their follow ups for next turn, with cosmic, it prevents both crimson dragon and said follow up at once.
I randomly pulled a Snatch Steal and tried it out... sadly it's just not good rn.
OMG YES I love Raye
i really like the idea of going 0 handtraps and going full boardbreakers, seeing you easily fill the graveyard with 3 spells right away made me realize my deck list is really lacking that.
Hello, thanks for the comment
- As for maxx C, its important to note that u only run it if u run a lot of other handtraps. Once u activated maxx C:
+ If your maxx C resolved, ur opponent might just stop comboing, resulting in a field of nothing, this is the worst thing that could happen if you play the boardbreaker builds, if they have no boards, ur boardbreakers r gonna be dead, ull just have to pass with a hand full of boardbreakers instead of handtraps (the other build) and will likely be ded next turn with nothing to defense urself except for maybe widow anchors which we both know, r not enough since they spent no resources to combo last turn so they likely have everything to play through ur anchors.

If our main focus is the grind game wouldn’t morganite be great in this deck since we dont play handtraps anyway ?
@xmv19 the problem is that u dont survive turn 3, decks with good follow ups on turn 3 such as the 4 best decks atm like yubel, fire king, centur-ion and voiceless can all kill u on turn 3. Morganite works in decks that have great survivability over the courses of several turns (takes paleo for example with rise to full height, waboku, rollback, etc) to slowly get back to the game through the 2 draws turn after turn, with sky striker u cant really do that. Now onto the next problem, the premise of blind 2nd sky striker is to break the board using the tools u have in ur hand, sometimes u have enough, sometimes more than enough and sometimes not enough, more often than not, if opponents have some sort of negates, if u activate morganite, they wont even bother to negate, which makes the task of breaking the board now become harder with 1 less card, morganite basically does nothing the turn its used and if u dont survive turn 3 or even turn 5 it wont be beneficial at all (if you think about it, even in draw phase on turn 4, morganite helps u +1 card --> neutralizing itself so ur card advantage go +0, then only on turn 5 u get +1 and so on, yep, once again, proved to be only good with decks that have a very slow but very hard to die gameplay [like paleo] )
All of that being said i dont think theres no way to use it in sky striker, but the decklist will be very different, waiting for the day that i can cook up with morganite (might be sooner than i think, that or it never happens lol).
