SHORT INSTRUCTIONS:
First boil:
1 cup tapioca pearls
2500 ml water
1. Pour water in a big pot. Let it boil. Add tapioca. Cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to prevent from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Let it cool for 5 hours or overnight.
2. The next day, drain tapioca and discard water. Wash them with cold water once.
Second boil if you want to use it in dessert:
3. In the same pot, pour 1200 ml water. Let it boil. Add tapiocas and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
4. Drain and wash again with cold water. It's ready to use for dessert. You may add few tablespoons of brown sugar.
TIPS: Kung gagamitin nyo ang sago for ginataang bilo bilo or binignit, hindi nyo na kailangang lutuin ulit ng 5-10 minutes after leaving it 5 hours or overnight. Pwede nyo ng ilagay diretso sa binignit. Kung gagamitin nyo naman for cold dessert like bubble tea, yon ang e follow nyo ang nasa video.
