There are more dogs in Seattle than kids. The city has much less land devoted to dogs than other major cities. People have been calling upon the city for decades to set aside more land for dog parks.

Another example of dog owners thinking the rules that exist don't apply to them. They always have their unleashed dogs on hiking trails, beaches, and other places where it is illegal (as the story shows, playfields). No one wants to deal with dog excrement in any of those places, and no, they don't always clean up after them.

If your dog is off leash at a park where they’re supposed to be well that’s on you. If your excuse is “well everyone else does it” that’s not an excuse.
If your plea is “there aren’t a lot of options for our dogs or places to let them be animals” then you should not own an animal in a congested cramped city. It’s just not science.
Most people shouldn't have a dog. If you go to work or whatever and leave it all alone all day you shouldn't have a dog. they are social and want company. If you take your dog for a walk and keep pulling it when they start sniffing something you shouldn't have a dog. Their world is smells and they are getting valuable information and stimulus when they sniff. How would you like it if they slapped your cellphone out of your hand every time you were on it ? If you treat your dog like an accessory and not a valued member of your household you shouldn't have a dog. And if you move every few years you shouldn't have a dog. They generally like to stay in one place and get to know it and feel secure.

I agree, it’s mainly liberals here in Seattle, most of whom believe that having babies is somehow pollution. They have been brainwashed.
Maybe one day they will see themselves as pollution as well (having been born and such) and take the proper steps to eliminate that.

There’s tradeoffs to living in highly desirable cities. Not being able to afford a SFH is one of them.
There are affordable areas in Washington, I live in one of them! Yes being able to afford a home in Seattle would be nice… but I can’t.. and the minimum wage is the same in the rest of the State!

I love dogs, but you can't walk down the street without seeing pee stains of poop. Honestly I believe that it is cruel to have a dog in a city. It's too confined and not fair to the dog.

They treat the animals like a child and children like animals. I stopped going to Hotels, restaurants , is disgusting the smell, they eat with them on the table. Don't know why someone decides to be behind an animal and humiliate themselves picking up, bathing, buying chicken flavor food, haircut when at the end of the day ends up eating its own vomit.
