Soldier is one of those classes that require a fast reaction. I'm honestly one to enjoy staying more in one place which is why I main Engineer. Soldier gameplay definitely gets some energetic reactions, though!

Edit: If you aren't planning to react to more videos of Lazy apart of the "How it Feels" series, I recommend you to at least watch (after all of this, like, to wrap up everything) "TF2 is a Timeless Masterpiece", that can almost be named "How it FEELS to play TF2: Prologue", cause it was his first video after a long time without uploading a thing and was like I said, some sort of prologue to the How it FEELS series.
And remember, the last part of how it FEELS still as work in progress (the medic), so is a video that everyone of us still waiting (and the extras of it, probably).
I've been suggesting that for awhile, along with his TF2 is Perfect Shut up!

Since I don't yet see any explanations, I'll do my work to explain the "It's Raining Men" parody. That voice he uses comes from a specific game mode in TF2 called "Player Destruction" which is the focus of a map called Watergate in the list of miscellaneous that includes Hydro with its "Territorial Control", Degroot Keep with its "Medieval Mode" and the like.
Just to add to this, the reason Lazypurple decides to use a song here is likely to reference one of his older popular videos that gained a lot of traction in his early career.
There were two of these videos that used a music track over a specific montage.
“Return to offender.” Is a series of pyro reflect clips (including reflect jumps) synced to the song “Return to Sender.”
The other video is called “It’s Precipitating Adult Males” which is a series of Market Gardener/Mantread kills synched to the song “It’s Raining Men.”
It’s a really nice call back, especially for those that came and stuck around near the beginning (got me to rewatch the video when I first saw it).

In 6v6 competitive, the standard roles are as follows:
Medic: generally considered team leader, directs pushes and must most be aware of what enemies are still alive
Demo: stickies are very powerful
Pocket: usually a soldier, the default heal target for medics to build Uber and medic's bodyguard
Roamer: a high mobility solo class like soldier, find the flank and generally be the "chaos" element
The above three roles can be shuffled for the situation
Utility x2: two scouts by default, with the demo forms the primary combat force. One scout sometimes switches to sniper if their team is playing defensively
Well, sort of. This would be accurate ish a few years ago.
Generally, the team is devided into the combo and flank.
Combo consists of pocket scout, demo, pocket soldier and med, flank consists of roamer soldier and flank scout
Pocket scout or demo usually maincall. Med maincalling is really limiting. all i do (an intermediate med with 3 seasons experience) is call uber percents and if im playing passively or aggressively
Pocket scout builds uber and protects the med, anyone except demo can offclass when the situation calls for it
@@somefrog9673 Thanks for the update. I did indeed stop playing late 2017. With the medigun speed buff, makes sense for scout to be the main pocket. I understand how the demo plays leader but still feel like medic can still call pushes. Not sure how I feel about having two players on the flank however.
2 player flank works out pretty well for the most part, someone can still watch if the other needs a buff or an arrow, they kinda make mini plays with eachother sometimes
they support eachother for the most part, although idk much of what they do theyre just kinda creatures that appear for a buff every now and again
Medics are VERY VERY IMPORTANT in this mode. So, if you pick medic, make sure you are a competitive one :l

I just remember: from the Engineer video onwards, Lazy made behind the scenes videos, which are "How it Feels to Suffer in SFM" (for the Engineer) and "How it Feels to play [Class] EXTRAS" (for Sniper, Pyro and Demoman)

6:10 So, a very different recommendation than others in here: Todd In The Shadows' "ONE HIT WONDERLAND: "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls". More akin to Nostalgia Critic (seeing as he was on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses), but music oriented. There have been reaction videos that stayed for over a year now, so I think he's fine with them, not so sure about the music copyrights, but that's a different thing entirely.

I'm not 100% sure but i think Soldier is his main since out of all of his cosmetic loadouts i think Soldier is the only one with an unusual effect.
The "It's Raining men " bit is a reference to a old video he made using the full song in a garden clip video that got taken down.
Also i'd suggest turning on captions for the Engie video, part of it was with a copy right and Lazy had to change it and unfortunately some of the dialogue was covered up by the new music, the same gose for the sniper extras one too.

you should probably play some soldier in your next tf2 stream and get a hold of tf2's weird ass movement mechanics. if i remember the next bwa is about the base jumper. also you can learn how to strafe which all classes can use. and most classes use strafing to surf an enemy's explosive and get out of a pickle.

So, just thought I would explain the sound bite heard at 7:53 (“Gunshot Bride”). Since it’s something not that many people will know (only a small handful when compared to the millions that watch this).
The soundbite is from the song Propane Nightmares, by Pendulum.
However this is from a very old meme that started 11 years ago from a video “100% Skilled Airshot”.
The video has a very simple Airshot played in slow motion with the song playing from the part that says “Gunshot Bride”.
The creator would make a couple more of these with a higher percentage in the name.
The meme essentially is connecting an Airshot with the sound bite “Gunshot Bride”. It’s an old meme that didn’t have that much traction, but became a huge thing for many soldier mains in tf2.
… just saying 11 years ago and remember tons of these memes clearly makes me feel old…

In these gameplay clips Lazy used gunboats -60% so it lets lazy to do many rollouts
Also he played in some clips with viewmodel off so in post production he added pictures

i'm excited, because the engineer video is out first one that has extras, specifically, the extra video for engineer is how it feels, to SUFFER, which talks mostly about source spaghetti and the pain of making the animations for the series.
