I worked on the S/S Norway cruise ship in the early 1980s and they had a weekly live performance on board with Steve Arlen as PT Barnum. i watched the show many times and this great performance brings back many wonderful memories to me. Thank you for uploading this.

Please tell me that you are studying theatre arts -- acting, music, and so on. I have watched all the clips from your production of "Barnum." (This is one of my favorite musicals. I was stage manager/acting on one production and the director of another.) I loved your production and your performance. You have a natural gift -- learn it and make it grow. I have been an actor, director, playwright, & drama teacher for 30 years., so trust me when I say you have talent.

This is actually a really difficult melody to sing, and I realize now that I f'ed up some of those chromatic leaps when I was a background singer in HS. The song is great of course, just take a banner in your hand, AAAAND...
Not difficult for someone one with talent...there is none to be found here at all.
Lmaooo did this for a panto, every night the main singer was a bass and struggled to get the ANDDD its impossible!

Well I really liked it.....if I were directing it I would have goosed the vocals up a bit. Great band and I thought the leads were very good. The boy who played Barnum is surprisinly engaging....a hard role to pull off. The acrobatics were pretty damn good. Anyone know who the Barnum is and what is he doing 10 years later?

Glad to hear that. You had wonderful enunciation and a command even w/dialogue over a large orchestra. What musical roles have you played? Are you Australian Actors Equity? Are there American roles that you want to play? I know that Telsey & Associates was in Melbourne casting for an upcoming production. Even as a teenager you did an amazing job...in a wonderfully quirky stylistic production. I guess it is the Australian equivalant of the High School For the Performing Arts in NYC?
