There's a preset on the UAD Lexicon 224 that makes that ambient wash at the beginning and end of the song with about any pad sound.
Yeah, love it, challenge completed. As a side note my friend played keys on the original recording.

I wonder are you affected by the polyphony issues of the Fantom, as mentioned in other channels?
Honestly, no. You can find other Fantom demos in my channel where I play quite complex songs and never had particular problems. Of course polyphony has a limit but if you pick your sounds wisely I think it is enough.

I prepared everything before shooting so I recorded the video in one take (including some mistakes and "oops" that I left in the final edit) 😉

Is the base an an arpeggio if not how did you get that rhythm
I used a Step LFO to modulate the filter cutoff. If you have a Fantom you can download the scene with all the sounds and sequences ;)

Feels kinda cheating to have premade patches. I was hoping you would be showing HOW to make those patches in a short amount of time.
I thought of doing that but 80 second is a very short time... so I decided to share my sounds instead ;)
If you need help making any of those patches, then 80 seconds isn't going to help.

Started really nice but that vox sound is not right, it's not flowing
What's the point ? Reproduce a piece that is almost 40 years old with a synth capable of doing it? I don't see what we should get excited about. Or 40 years later, we are not able to have innovative synths allowing us to project ourselves into the future rather than into the past, it's a sad observation
