      @filipe_paixao 18 дней назад +9

      @user-hg1sh5hk5f I think this year or next year is his Prime for attacking the 1500 meters and the mile.
      Afterward, he probably gonna slowly move to 5k and 10k.
      Hope he gets a good 1.5k (he already got the second best 1.5k ever so it's highly possible)

    • @isaacqsnl
      @isaacqsnl 17 дней назад +4

      I wonder how he will get the steeple record, he said he wanted 10 distance records which would be 1500,1609,2000,3000,3218,5000,10000, 21.1k, 42.2k and 3000 steeple.

    • @filipe_paixao
      @filipe_paixao 17 дней назад +2

      @isaacqsnl He said that? 😂
      I mean, maybe if you separate indoor and outdoor.
      1.5k, 1.5k indoor(✔️), Mile, 2k(✔️), 3k(✔️), 2 mile(✔️), 5k, 10k
      He already got 4, from 1.5k indoor to 2 miles.
      Currently, he is the closest ever to the 1.5k WR, and he got the motivation for it.
      So I guess that would be a possible 5th, 3 miles, 5k, 5 miles, 10k are also possibilities.
      Dunno, what distances are we counting?
      Maybe we are also counting on road races separately?
      If so, reaching 10 would be "easier" but still...
      Maybe we also counting cross country?.

    The greatest distance record alongside kiptums marathon record in my opinion. This is what happens when the best 5000m runner in the world mainly focuses on the 1500m; you get the 3000m WR. Jakob continues to say that the half marathon is where he has most natural talent, it just happens that he is able to use that engine efficiently in shorter distances as well. What a time for running!

    I don't think I am wrong in this; there is no other sport which uses rabbitts. It is such a testament to the respect these athletes have for each other. In this instance the rabbit was paid, yes, but there have been other world records broken with teammates who act as rabbits without the paycheck, sacrificing their own run to help another. I can't remember for sure but I think one of Haile Gebrselassie's world records happened when his teammate rabbited far beyond the normal mark.
    Such great running from Ingebrigtsen here, truly. You know his lungs and legs had to be on fire that last 6-800 meters. I get so pumped up seeing world class athletics. I was never anywhere close to this level of running, but I remember the training and it wasn't easy. 1.5 mile warmup, 8x800m repeats uphill, jog down. 1.5 mile cooldown. Or 20x200m on track. Ugh, I get tired just thinking about it.
    Well done, indeed.

      @@alexanderl9985 Nah...ironically not 'sus' at all. Everyone's doping mate(hate to hurt everyone's feelings). It's simply the price of admission to the big show since the 80s. Norwegian athletics didn't just discover testosterone analogs now, it's likely that tremendous oil wealth finally spilling over from winter sports into summer athletics combined with the realization that their genetics are suited to the middle distances similar to North Africans. I'd guess they've likely decided to focus their resources on that similar to what Jamaica did with the short distances.

      Jakob is the magnet opus of a human breeding (eugenics) by the lunatic-left socialist Norwegian government. The IOC is ENRAGED that Jakob married a fellow Norwegian instead of an East African distance runner woman like planned, so they spiked his water with sedatives before the Olympic 1500 and 5000 meter dash. After this absolute MOTHER of a 3000, I have no doubt he's going to end up in an "accident" like Kiptum!

    Praise to the announcers too! That was a fantastic call especially the increasing energy coming down the final stretch. It was worthy of this great effort by Ingebrigtsen and will be a fun backdrop to countless future returns to this record and memorable video. Ingebrigtsen is such an amazing time trialist. He keeps getting beaten in championship miles and he wants to win those more than anything. Nevertheless, no one can stay with him when he takes on the clock. Amazing past medalists are separated from him after just two laps and even the bravest opponents watch him just run away from them in the latter stages of this 3K.

      @@slane6545 Track and field athletes don't have salary, and the competitions aren't "tournaments." Their personal agents negotiate a participation bonus (which is not dependant on the result) with the organizer on their behalf for each race/competition. Then there are standardized bonuses for getting a certain place in the race, but those are smaller. I don't think an athlete of Ingebritsen's status would run on any Grand Prix race without a starting fee that goes into tens of thousands of dollars/euros. I would be very surprised if he doesn't get at least well over half a million a year from his personal sponsors.

      Those two in front who slowed down were pacesetters, commonly known as «rabbits». They run in front to maintain a specific speed.. Rabbits, are experienced runners who lead the pack at a consistent pace, helping other competitors gauge their speed during the race. Their role is particularly important in middle-distance and long-distance races, where they often set a fast but sustainable pace for the field to follow. After a designated distance, rabbits typically drop out of the race, having fulfilled their purpose of pacing the other athletes. Ingebrigtsen was going for the world record so he needed pacesetters to keep up the right speed.

      In Norway, the elite athletes are being tested several times a month, all year around. They have to notify the national association where ever they go in order for them to show up whenever they please to get them tested. If you fail twice in doing so, you're being punished as if you tested positive.

    • @Ramngrim
      @Ramngrim 18 дней назад +3

      Always someone who doesn't know the rules. Of course, there's a constant test regime going, but even then, a national record won't be ratified unless the athlete delivers a negative doping test the same day. Same for area records and world records, of course.

      I was waiting for the first idiot to appear.
      To even accuse Jakob for no reason is pathetic. He has been an exceptional talent since he was 11 and he has had two brothers (European champions both of them) who he has trained with since he was a kid. His PB has gradually been bettered. Its ridicilous to accuse someone for doping just because they are great at what they do. There is a lot of hard work behind his achievements and he has had to sacrifice a lot.
      When he was 9-10-11, he was running 120-140 kilometers some weeks and from he was 13, he has ran at least 140 km every week (exceept on travel days and preparations for competitions). In the end of primary school he did running sessions in the morning before he went to school He hasnt skipped a training session his father/coach asked him to do since he was 5-6. He has been conducting lactate tests in all his interval training sessions since he was ten years old. He visited the physio every day on his way home from school (since he was 13)…. His whole life has been about running and training and he has literally been a professional athlete since he was a kid.
      He runs a lot and he is also tested a lot. Norway has one of the strictest anti-doping testing systems (not like the African countries who never test their athletes or the US college lack of recognizing the anti-doping code) . Also, Jakob hasnt just now showed how good he is. He has been winning for many years now. Those who should have a suspision around them is those who shows up at championship and wins or runs times they havent been close to before….and then they hardly appears at other events (very suspicious..to avoid tests). Jakob has lost two Olympic gold medals because of someone suddenly has been better than him for the big championship only. If he was doped he woulent have lost two Olympic gold medals and been the best the rest of the year…smartypants.
      Jakob runs all kinds of events and distances (1500, 3000, 5000, cross country…) and he shows up at almost every event and is tested a lot. There is absolutely no reason to throw the word doping around like that. He has sacrifised a lot to be the best and only idiots who cant use their brain would throw accusations towards Jakob.

    WTF?? that's not even a real "record" that doper Ingebrigtsen "broke". Anyway, just for you troll haters I would like to emphasize that I'm only constatly asking for his blood levels to be publicized. I know for a fact from unfortunately sparse Norwegian media coverage that all Norwegian runners working with The Friidrett Landslaget (or what ever the official Norwegian title is) WERE REQUIRED TO USE ASTHMA MEDICATION. THEY HAD TO, OR THEY WERE EXCLUDED FROM THE ELITE TEAM, ACCORDING TO THE RUNNERS WHO REFUSED BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT SICK!!! That the most distinguished newspaper 'Aftenposten 'was the only national Norwegian news media that exposed this scam was the real scandal in my opinion. According to the former National Team runners that blew the whistle back then circa 2015. About the time that the Ingebrigtsen-family stepped forward in the media to declare that they were going to all become super dupers. Their father is a real lunatic, who pressured the poor boys sans end. He is gone today, out of the media at least. When the other national media ignored this, it very quietly "went away"... What do you think? Do you believe that the Warholm and the Ingebrigtsens are all clean? One of them? None??? I AM WILLING TO DEBATE ANYONE PUBLICLY (with real names, not aliases) WHO THINKS THIS IS not THE TRUTH. Put up or shut up. Easy.

      Cyclists being doing that since 2014. Wiggins/Froome era. We all know what's going on. They get a TUE for Asthma (which they don't have) which is/was legal under the rules. It's a PED but with the TUE, it's fine. Hell, I'll guarantee most amateurs are doing it too, because people are crazy. Too interested in money and power now. 'I tried to persuade each of you not to think more of practical advantages than of his mental and moral well-being.' (Socrates).

    • @ryand141
      @ryand141 17 дней назад +1

      There's no morality left in sport, which is why I wouldn't bother competing anymore in a race. To think these codes like 'fair play' are meaningless now is down to society. What it's become. But then again, even in Socrates' time, his words and advice and care produced dictators. Some humans are sick.
