Actually, if you think about it, Final Fantasy 2's entire story is based on Star Wars in a way. An evil emperor with the power to shoot lightning (Mateus/Palpatine) rules over an entire world/galaxy and the only ones who can stop him are a group of rebels including a young man (Firion/Luke) with a powerful sword (Blood Sword/Lightsaber), a princess that helps with aiding the rebellion (Hilda/Leia), and a man with a ship who shouldn't necessarily be involved, but is anyway (Cid/Han). But the Empire also has a trick up their sleeve with a dark-clad warrior who happens to be related to one of the rebels (Leo/Vader) who helps construct a massive death machine (Dreadnaught/Death Star) that can only be destroyed by disrupting the power supply to it. Also, I've said this before, but Final Fantasy VI actually feels like an opera. Or a work of theater of some kind.
You should have mentioned that Relm is Shadow's daughter that he abandoned because he believed she was to good for him. It's why his dog acts so protective towards her. And that even at the end of the game he never tells her because he still doesn't believe he deserves to be happy.
He didn't mention a lot of things, but to be fair, it's such a deep game that even if he were to double the length of this video he still wouldn't be able to cover everything.
"Video games can tell a story just as good as any book or movie." And that is why I love them and why I love Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy is the reason I write. It makes me smile to hear you say that and affirm why the series has inspired me so much.
This game holds a special place in my heart. It wasn't the game that really introduced me to RPGs (the Lunar series and maybe FF7 did that more substantially, but I do recall my uncle playing this at times...though I didn't know it was FF6 until many years later...I was a slow kid lol), but it definitely showed me how refined it could be, and how limitations in development were nothing compared to the drive and ambition that game creators could bring. I first played this game around 2009, and it was at a time when my life was changing profoundly. My dad had lost his job, we were losing our house, classes were becoming tedious, my family was going through a civil issue of sorts, illness was impacting both me and another family member...things were pretty bleak. And then this game became a sort of escape...and showed me perhaps the most profound and adult lesson that was needed at the time. Life will be full of struggles, full of times where everything seems finished...but there is always a chance to get right back up and succeed. As long as one holds on to that drive, no hardship shall be too much to overcome. Even through all their tragedies...losing family members, friends, themselves, and even the world as they knew it...the characters of FF6 held on to those aspects that they believed in and cherished, and it aided them in ultimately taking down Kefka and all that he represented. It helped provide solace to me in such difficult times, and that is why it is so special to me. I still get emotional whenever I hear the final theme that plays during the credits, for it truly catches that feeling of liberation and solace that arises from coming out on the other side of hardship. This game is a masterpiece, a work of art, and in my opinion is the best that this franchise has ever produced. Hopefully another game, whether it is FF or not, will catch that impression again some day, but at least I got to experience it. Sorry for the story, couldn't help myself. Btw, no need to feel embarrassed about finding certain...personal awakenings in the game Clement. I had a similar experience in FF7 to some extent when Cloud cross-dressed, and for different reasons. Just throwing it out there. What can I say, video games truly can be impactful lol.
I finished this game just yesterday... and you know what? It's one of the best experiences I've had. This is coming after I played most modern games too, everything from the soundtrack to the story is just special and full of heart.
This was the most touching retrospective Ive ever heard. Thank you Clement! Kefkas theme is among my favorites in the entire series. It suits him PERFECTLY.
Your reviews-analyses of the FF series are phenomenal. You take us on a fucking nostalgic trip, and man it feels good! I'm so glad I watched this. Thanks!
A huge note about the tower of destruction battle leading up to the final boss (and the god form of Kefka as well): It was heavily influenced by Dante's Inferno where you have to travel through the circles of hell and at the end you meet God. I'm a little sad there was hardly any mention of General Leo. :'( RIP
Ah, the dilemma of Cid's feeding minigame... how you can actually save him if you feed him only the right fish, but you get nothing special for it (Cid doesn't even react differently if you bring Locke or other party members to see him) and it costs you the sheer emotion of the cutscene you would've gotten if he died.
I was waiting for that this entire video and was hoping he would mention it in the final battle segment but nope... welp, can't always recognize greatness where it exists lul
So many parts of this video had me in tears. I was 11 when this game came out and I played it at least once every single year for the next 7-8 years. Now I play it a bit less often but I still try to squeeze in all my SNES rpgs in once in a while. This game always makes me so emotional as it represents the best time of my life, my entire childhood/teen years. Everytime I hear the music, I cry like a baby lol. I wish I could get amnesia just so I could relive playing it for the first time once again !!! ;)
46:00 - I think the worst thing about the whole 'Cid dying' scenario is that it's preventable. But the thing is if you're playing this for the first time in the 90s before you have Internet access, you likely don't know this, and you end up feeling worse when you realize that you could have prevented that death all along.
FF6 is one of those games that's basically every bit as good as people say it is. I played it as a teen during the PS2 era and was still blown away by what is probably the best "traditional" story I've seen in a game. It's a game that holds up on almost all fronts and is survived mostly by its soundtrack on constant replay (along with countless remixes). It's hard for me to recommend it as someone's "1st" Final Fantasy if only because it has a high chance of making subsequent FF experiences seem like a big downgrade. While it isn't my #1 FF game, it's top 2 on my personal list and I wouldn't argue with anyone claiming it as the best JRPG ever made.
Final Fantasy 6 is fantastic and one of my favorites in the series along with 4 and 9. The music is memorable, the characters are great, so many memorable moments, and a great FF villain to boot Kefka.
As someone who has been a fan of your videos for a long time, I must say how impressed I am in the way you've grown in your video presentations. You put a lot of hard work and time into your projects and the high quality shows. Another excellent video sir.
13:00 - In the original cut, they were planning on allowing you to use Leap anywhere, but they ended up not being able to do that because Gau would reappear in places where it would softlock the game because certain scenes couldn't play properly, or certain characters couldn't join the party when they needed to.
Anyway, yeah, 6 is my personal favorite for pretty much all the reasons you listed. The story is absolutely amazing. I don't have nostalgia for this series, I only started playing these games about a year ago, so take it from me when I say that the 16-bit hardware the game is running on does absolutely nothing to hinder anything in this game. Voice acting and shiny CG would have added nothing and potentially subtracted things. The Cid scene at the beginning of WoR is actually pretty clever. You will most likely not be able to save him on your first play through, but knowing what happens? I worked my ass off to save his ass upon repeat playthroughs. I liked Cid, I liked Celes, I don't like seeing their torment. Preventing the universe where Cid dies and Celes gives up is a goal. I feel like I genuinely saved someone's life upon repeat playthroughs. Little nuances like that really puts this games story above everything prior. Gameplay wise? I feel it's a perfect blend of 4 and 5. Each character has something unique about them, like 4, but you can also customize them to your liking through espers and, to a certain extent, relics. Everyone felt like their own special character without needing to take control away from me and dictating how I should utilize these characters. Is the game easy? Sure, but keep in mind that, due to how the game is designed, the difficulty is up to you. Like you said, most of the World of Ruin is optional. You can go right up to Kefka and whoop his ass if you so choose. Game certainly isn't easy if you decide to do that. Doing the optional stuff, then, rewards you with extra abilities and characters to make that task much easier. It really isn't that much different than most Final Fantasy games and optional content, only difference is that the optional content has a huge significance on the plot. Overall, 6 has yet to be topped in my book. Some have definitely come close, including the next game in the series, but there have always been little things that prevent those games from topping this one.
I rented FF6 at my local video rental store back in the 90s and it was what got me into RPGs. I was hooked ever since. Played through the game multiple times in a row. You hit it on the head, the game is a work of art. The characters and story are amazing. Great overview..
Clement thank you after watching this you've convinced me to finally get around to playing this game and I'm extremely looking forward to it so again thank you
I really hope one day somebody does a Final Fantasy animated series, where each game would be adapted into a separate season. That would be fantastic, wouldn't it?
Just knowing somebody else has the memory of the opening for this game emblazoned on their mind makes me feel less lonely. It’s so simple and also sad and powerful which reflects the story and characters so well.
Heya Clement! Long time viewer and sub, just wanted to let you know that after many years of playing the FF series, I never truly finish FFVI (my last attempt I rage quit after learning I could have saved Shadow). You've inspired me to give it another shot and appreciate it for the game it is rather than get carried away in characters and stats. Hope your summer break is good to you!
Wow...i never knew all this was in this game, never knew how amazing and heartfelt it is. i'll admit, with this game's story and how well you were telling it alongside your own experiences with it, i got teary-eyed.
I loved how, when you first enter a battle after the world breaks, the first enemies you fight are low hp and poisoned from the start. That effected me more than Celes' attempt.
Hands down, this is the greatest Final Fantasy game in my eyes. The story telling is amazing, I love the graphics style pulled off with the 16 bit limits, the music is awesome, I literally can't say enough good about this game.
Good on you, big dawg. It was definitely a treat to sit down and watch this whole thing. Thank you for putting this out and all the time and effort that went into this
Aaaaah the gushing about this game. I've been gushing since 1996 about this one, and for good reasons you brought up! Thank you for taking the time to say what we all feel: This game is just an amazing work of art that anyone who wants to experience the series NEEDS to play!
God damn Clement that just made me cry the whole backstories of every single character like holy shit I felt sad especially when Celes tried to commit suicide I wanted to cry in fact I did feel like crying. So basically give everybody Ultima and kefka is not a problem okay got it. This game definitely sounds fantastic and yeah it is easy but who gives a shit if the game is well structured. Also Young Clement crushed on Beast Terra when he was a kid that sounds adorable. So now if you guys will excuse me I'm going to go and play Final Fantasy 6 GBA and I got to go make my team overpowered as hell.
Great video Clement. I really like this series of videos Really looking forward to see your video on 7, especially since it also happens to be my favorite FF game
Clement I was feeling it I felt absolute sadness when you were talking about all the sad back story's and the suicide oh my god I felt true emotion like everything was done and if the credits were to role like that it would leave a sour taste in my mouth but this truly is the saddest ff game
I agree, the score for this game is high up there within the ranks of the series. The scale it helps to create in tandem with the backgrounds really makes this game stand out among its peers. Though not my favorite score overall in the franchise, there's no doubt that Uematsu peaks here.
I like the way a specific mod handled the Rage command. Instead of being uncontrollable, you use a skill related to that enemy, and gain their attributes. For instance, if an enemy is floating, you will float after you use the attack. If they absorb holy, you will as well. It's much more usable then the normal Rage is.
Them modernising and adding technology to the setting here adds so much, really comes to a head in 15 when it's like the real world just with giant monsters in the lands between towns and cities
I played this for the first time about 2-3 years ago and whilst not my favourite, it did lead me to one of the very few times a game has made me shed tears, the game as a whole is emotional but that scene with Celes, god damn that was heart breaking.
And so the Golden Age comes to a close with the Finest Fantasy... Also, it actually is possible to save Cid. Difficult, but possible. If you do this, Celes doesn't attempt suicide. And that's what I get for commenting before/while watching it...
I think Cid dying is more fulfilling in terms of characterization and storytelling. Even after I learned it was possible to save him, I never bothered to try. Celes's suicide attempt is one of the most powerful moments in any game I've ever experienced, I would hate to ruin it.
I've played pretty much every Final Fantasy game there is, and still to this day, I consider VI the best one, BY FAR. I vividly remember renting it back in the day, and continuing to rent it over and over until I finally beat it, which I eventually did. This is honestly the first video game that has ever brought me to tears with the dark and traumatic scenes it contained. Also, it was one of the first times that I can remember that the villain actually did what he set out to do, to destroy the world... Many scenes in the game were just moving, and of course the opera scene is one of those times. Never before have I seen that in a game, and as a whole, the game to me seemed like a long play or movie, it's THAT good. The story of Locke and Rachel especially hit me the hardest, when he found out she regained her memory just before she was murdered, that was so damn sad...and Cyan losing his wife and son, and seeing their dead bodies on my screen, it really freaked me out at the time, and I really just felt so bad for him. And Celes in the world of Ruin, I honestly had Cid die on me the first time I played through it as well, and that part there really made me break down, but when she regained hope when she found a bird with Locke's bandanna, just really got me pumped up, knowing that it wasn't over and there was still hope that everyone is still alive, somewhere. All in all, it's one of my favorite RPG's of all time (Chrono Trigger being a VERY close second, but honestly I think it's just as good as FFVI) and whenever the time hits, I think I will sit back and play through it once again, and to think back and reflect...
Dude this game is so brutal. I wanted to cry numerous times during this video. I never finished this game when I was younger. So I didn’t know how depressing things got.
Well Dissidia exists, there's a 3d model of Terra there if you really want it that badly, honestly Dissidia kicks so much ass that I consider it a must buy for anyone with a PSP or Vita anyway.
I went to a Final Fantasy Distant Worlds show which is pretty much Final Fantasy music done with an opera and orchestra and I shit you not Nobuo Uematsu the LEGEND himself came out and performed The World of Ruin or Dark World and part of me wonder if he has a special attachment to this piece of what the deal is but man it was BEAUTIFUL HAUNTING and then somebody proposed to the Zanarkand FF10 song and they ended with Sephiroth One Winged Angel teasing something was missing my God what an amazing experience I still have my ticket stub somebody recorded and posted to RUclips under Distant Worlds Boston Dark World was the piece but the whole show even FF13 songs it was something else !!!!!! I'll never forget..... my friend also brought his sister in law who didnt necessarily like Final Fantasy but like opera shows and now may not play the games but LOVES the music which is just amazing to me....=')
That the BEST Final Fantasy in the 15 game series STILL hasn't gotten a 3d remake is fucking criminal. But maybe it's a good thing. Maybe they'd just screw it up. FFVI was a triumph of game engineering. Graphics, music, the epic, EPIC storytelling and characterization hasn't been matched yet in this combination. Don't get me wrong. FFVII was groundbreaking and phenomenal it still holds up even when not being carved to pieces by "remakes", but if FFVI had the cinematic graphical power FFVII had there wouldn't be a question that FFVI was superior. We're a visual species and graphics mean a lot. Just the way it is. Maybe THAT'S why FFVI will never get a 3d remake. Hm.
I recently played VI for the first time recently and I loved it. I really enjoyed the characters and their stories (especially the Figaro brothers). And the Espur system was pretty neet. It was satisfying as hell to destroy Kefka's god form with a chainsaw, martial arts, ninja stars and Ultima (i.e. Using Edgar, Sabin, Shadow, Terra and Celes). Now I'm currently on VII as part of my journey through the series as I've never played any of them (except XV).
You've reminded me just how good this game is... I truly enjoy this game for its soundtrack (especially "Searching for Friends"), and for how dramatic it is! While Final Fantasy IV remains my personal favorite in the series, VI is what I consider the best in the series as far as story telling goes.
Don’t know why some people have said Terra is not the main character. The creators said there was no official one but if you had to choose between the 14 characters, it’s definitely Terra.
She's the one who made it to _Dissidia,_ sure, but she's completely optional in the World of Ruin. I tend to think of Terra as the protagonist of the World of Balance (despite her freaking out and leaving the party, she's still everybody else's motivation) but Celes as the protagonist of the World of Ruin.
You know what else Cactaurs don't dodge? Ultima. And they give 10 AP a pop helping you learn Ultima. So my late-game party became Ultima spammers by way of Cactaur farming.
Also has an amazing soundtrack. I think 4 beats it by a small margin because of how bombastic some of the tracks are but this one is definitely a close contender :D
I just played this game (gba version) over a month ago to get a intake of the game before the video and after completed it....DAMN. Im not a big fan of RPGs (pokemon is the exception), but to me the game still holds up because of the story and charm. The only FF game I played was 7 since it was one of the first Playstation game I ever played but actually experiencing these game made me glad I got to play them especially 6. I always looking forward for ur retropects especially 7 since that one i do have memories with. Now I see why FF VI is one of the AVGN favorite games.
First time I played, I left Shadow behind not realizing you could wait. While I was exploring the World of Ruin, I learned about my mistake and immediately started over. I was THAT invested in the characters and refused to finish the game without all of them. And it was absolutely worth it (the playthrough was better as I knew how to handle what I faced before). And I am one of those guys who feels this is the best one, completely. I started with the first and played through them in original US release order up to 10.
I can't wait till you get to my personal favortie FF game, Final Fantasy IX. In my opinion it is such a fantastic RPG, and although it had a rocky start, it gained a big following, me being a part of it. Think what happened with Wind Waker. Its still a serious story, but it also has that lighthearted feel that really makes you feel that you're going through a grand adventure to save all of Gaia. Never has a game impacted me like IX, and I seriously can't wait for it's retrospective. Even if you don't agree, I still think its the best Final Fantasy game, and would've been the best RPG in my opinion had The World Ends With You didn't exist.
I was already informed of keeping Cid alive by feeding him the faster fish before I played, so I always tried to make sure Cid lived. I think on my fourth playthrough, even though I tried, Cid still died. I had never actually seen the scene, because I had a fear of it from word-of-mouth alone. Watching it, even having been spoiled and seeing the game many times before, it was not at all less heart-wrenching. I didn't even know Celes attempted suicide --- I actually thought when it happened that it was something unrelated, or anything but what it was.
Finally. Clement is finally going to talk about my homeboy, the man, the myth, the legend. The barely clothed savior, who's fables will be told in ages to come. GAU
Considering what kind of player Clement is, it's not surprising he said that. It requires a lot of patience to build Gau, and even though he can very well be the most broken character in WoB, he starts to become kinda lackluster once you get the best magicite and equipment in WoR. Unless you use Wind God Gau, only available in the SNES version.
I meant in terms of damage dealt. Besides, if you're not playing with a guide it's almost guaranteed to miss the rafflesia, let alone know how broken it is.
+Primos imediatos de 2º grau the stray cat rage alone usually lasts me through the entire game lol. though i generally focus entirely on his strength stat, so that probably helps. hell, even his magic isnt terrible... i'd say he holds up just fine. i mean he does have the highest stat average of any character in the game, he's not weak by any means. just has a weird play style
You can save Cid if you feed him the fastest fish. If there are no 'fast' fish available, then go back to Cid and talk to him to reset the fish. You don't want to feed Cid the slow fish because those are detrimental to his health and he'll only get worse. It's better to hold out for the fast fish, and you will eventually save him.
This is my favorite Final Fantasy game of all time!! It's also my 2nd favorite SNES game next to Super Mario World. Kefka is my favorite villain in the series and Celes is my favorite Final Fantasy character. My favorite moment in VI is the opera scene...so gorgeous!
If FFVI ever gets a 3D remake, I want there to be a unique cutscene, like a secret factor, if you suplex the Train. And it show Sabin actually stopping the Train, and suplexing it. Wouldn't that be awesome!?
24techgamer it would
24techgamer wonder what theyll have to do with terras beastiel (or however its spelled) form in a 3D remake since shes technically naked xD
Fusion Wing Probably what they did in Dissidia, where she's like a Barbie Doll and has no tits or privates
In the original concept art her esper form don't even have tits, and her privates are hairy or in white fire
vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/images/f/f7/Esper_Terra_III.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120725071300
Sooo.... like is an ugly apearance, I don't think there is too much things to censor in her original concept form.
If Sabin ever appears in Dissidia I want him Suplexing the train to be his ultimate

6 is More Like The Last Kingdom and Game of Thrones Type
If it was like an opera, I would imagine in the ending where everyone's clapping and the entire cast comes in to bow.

Fuck, so much nostalgia. This game is sincerely Japan's national treasure.

Also Clement: I was 7 when feeding Cid.
29:37 - Also even though they don't really say it, it's kind of implied that Kefka was the one who poisoned Edgar and Sabin's father.
No mention of Dancing Mad? I'm dissapointed :(

I love how Kefka's tower is made from the ruins of the empire and magitech. Just scraps of metal and cables and wires.
Even just summarizing the storylines made me feel some kind of way. This game is pure art.
Thank you for an amazing episode. I was nearly in tears reliving the ending of this fantastic game.
Another great video, probably the best in the series, the way you go through the story and gameplay is really well done
Yes it would be and I would watch it 20 times over
They're kinda doing that now with Castlevania. And it's great.
That was exactly my thought with ff5. It just made sense
FF 6 onwards can't be adapted in a single season. Even 24 episodes are not enough for an entire FF game.
It'd be like jojo's in a sense.
I have never played this and i almost cried during this video, now that's a good story
Thank you for taking the time to say what we all feel: This game is just an amazing work of art that anyone who wants to experience the series NEEDS to play!
clement you are amazing and you always put a smile at my face with your videos with your reactions, your my fav
We shared playing FF6 at a similar time and age, and your recap brought back the memories and emotions. Thanks!
Watched a couple of these videos and now I've had final fantasy music in my head for like a week, you spoony bard.
I really like this series of videos
Really looking forward to see your video on 7, especially since it also happens to be my favorite FF game
Clement I was feeling it I felt absolute sadness when you were talking about all the sad back story's and the suicide oh my god I felt true emotion like everything was done and if the credits were to role like that it would leave a sour taste in my mouth but this truly is the saddest ff game
Aw yeah! Been waiting for this!
47:16 Oh, how Nobuo is such a genius, even the darkest of themes can sound great.
FF6 was just incredible. I loved other FF's too, but FF6 to me was an utter masterpiece. The music, the design, the story. Wonderful.
Two minutes in, already said this is better than Chrono Trigger... off to a good start.
...I'm more in the other camp but only because the battle system is more simplistic, but both are fantastic for what I've seen
CT is so overrated to me
I agree, the score for this game is high up there within the ranks of the series. The scale it helps to create in tandem with the backgrounds really makes this game stand out among its peers. Though not my favorite score overall in the franchise, there's no doubt that Uematsu peaks here.
You missed the reference!
"Terra approaches the Esper and turns into a Super Sayan."
17:20-17:50 Clement has officially reached top editor status, and one of my favorite RUclipsrs
Good gosh, the feels this game leaves is still so real
I like the way a specific mod handled the Rage command. Instead of being uncontrollable, you use a skill related to that enemy, and gain their attributes. For instance, if an enemy is floating, you will float after you use the attack. If they absorb holy, you will as well. It's much more usable then the normal Rage is.
Them modernising and adding technology to the setting here adds so much, really comes to a head in 15 when it's like the real world just with giant monsters in the lands between towns and cities
I remember tearing up as a kid every time I saw shadow stay behind at the end and lets realm and interceptor go.
Awesome work Clement, your best yet!
I can't wait for him to talk about 9. it needs more recognition.
william corey god yes...
I'm currently playing it for the first time and i'm really loving it, very interested to hear Clement's opinion on it too
I loved the shit out of 9. That's probably my favorite game in the series, although 6 and 10 are pretty close. 9 is also my favorite PS1 game.
Oh absolutely. My favorite in the series, hands down, and one of my favorite JRPGs ever.
Yep, 9 is way up there along with 6 as the best in the series. It's sad how so many people dismissed it just because of the art style.
This video wasn't even in my Subscriptions menu, thank you Recommended For You!!!
*looks at inbox* Finally!
*sees video lenght* Poor poor Clement. The editing must have been a real hell. Can't wait to watch it!
Thank you for making this retro special I love ot and I sent it to all my need buddies lol
I am being a Broken record at this point, but this series from you is great. Eagerly waiting for The next Part.
In do the same thing lol
I think Cid dying is more fulfilling in terms of characterization and storytelling. Even after I learned it was possible to save him, I never bothered to try. Celes's suicide attempt is one of the most powerful moments in any game I've ever experienced, I would hate to ruin it.
"I give you your life back, which was taken from you the day I left it." - best line from Rachel.
Just watching the video made me cry, I haven't even played VI before XD
I remember Kefka's laugh from FF7
Clement's reaction to "I was hitting puberty" had me on the floor laughing.
My God! I played this almost 19 and you just told it the way I lived it! (Y)
Great work on this!
Thank God it's finally out it's like 5:00 in the morning and really bored. Thanks Clement.
William Diaz The hell are you in a different time zone for me it's 9:00
The MLG sonic564 yes Pacific time
I want ffvi 3d remake so everyone can SIMPING Terra and Celes
Oh sweetie, if only we lived in such a world 😔
I don't have to choose? Thank god.
Hm.
I love starting this game on my snes. the starting screen looks so epic
While Final Fantasy IV remains my personal favorite in the series, VI is what I consider the best in the series as far as story telling goes.
this made me super nostalgic
Don’t know why some people have said Terra is not the main character. The creators said there was no official one but if you had to choose between the 14 characters, it’s definitely Terra.
She's the one who made it to _Dissidia,_ sure, but she's completely optional in the World of Ruin. I tend to think of Terra as the protagonist of the World of Balance (despite her freaking out and leaving the party, she's still everybody else's motivation) but Celes as the protagonist of the World of Ruin.
I "liked" this just for the commercial at the beginning. Also, I love your content, late as I may be to it.
You know what else Cactaurs don't dodge?
Ultima.
And they give 10 AP a pop helping you learn Ultima.
So my late-game party became Ultima spammers by way of Cactaur farming.
Interesting. Probably should have kept that in mind when I was grinding before Kefka's Tower.
Clement great vid man
man this game is amazing it made me cry, if anyone did cry reply
So glad this is finally done. My favorite Final Fantasy game :D
Also has an amazing soundtrack. I think 4 beats it by a small margin because of how bombastic some of the tracks are but this one is definitely a close contender :D
I love that ad, good way to open the video :3
It's okay Clement, Terra was mai Waifu when I was a kid too.
Just finished watching the FFVI Lp of The Super Gaming Bros. yesterday, this is a perfect timing.
Finally. Clement is finally going to talk about my homeboy, the man, the myth, the legend. The barely clothed savior, who's fables will be told in ages to come.
GAU
Clement: "Gau sucks"
lol
Considering what kind of player Clement is, it's not surprising he said that. It requires a lot of patience to build Gau, and even though he can very well be the most broken character in WoB, he starts to become kinda lackluster once you get the best magicite and equipment in WoR. Unless you use Wind God Gau, only available in the SNES version.
He becomes lackluster in WoR?! WoR is when he gets the Rafflesia rage and busts this game wide open!
He talked about that in the video
@@TheDoubleA12 yeah I caught that, unfortunately I wrote this before I heard it, and I'm just too lazy to change it.
Thanks for doing this.
Edgar's drill is the DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS!!
This is my favorite Final Fantasy game of all time!! It's also my 2nd favorite SNES game next to Super Mario World. Kefka is my favorite villain in the series and Celes is my favorite Final Fantasy character. My favorite moment in VI is the opera scene...so gorgeous!
