Some advice: don't try to play your chromatic scale (or anything for that matter) faster than you are capable of playing it. It's better in the long run.
I’ve tried a lot of clarinet but I actually love my Ridenour Lyrique clarinet. It has the most even tone and spot on tuning I’ve ever experienced on a clarinet. It’s also hard rubber so is very durable. My mouthpiece is a Vandoren B40 13 and I use 3.25, sometimes 3.5 legere signature reeds. The harder reed is better in large concert halls. My ligature is an inverted bonade with the center cut out for better resonance.
I play on a Leblanc Normandy 4 and a Buffet pre- R13 A clarinet. 5RV mouthpiece, optimun ligature, and Rico Reserve Classic reeds. I've heard great things about the Ridenour's Libertas and I am purchasing one soon. I think I am going to try one of Tom's mouthpieces as well.
I play on a 1956 Buffet Crampon R13 with Daddario reserve reeds and a Vandoren B45 mouth piece, a Backun fat boy barrel and either a leather inverted lig for jazz or a Bonade inverted lig.
Uh, I have a clarinet that is grey colored and not shiny, it has plastic inside tho so idk if it's wood, but the outside does not look like wood, and it's so low sounding and there is pretty much nothing I can do about it, idk if it's a b flat clarinet or not but when I got it I was told that it was, but I also did notice it has a bigger bell than the average b flat clarinet and a smaller barrel, idk what to do!!
Oh my gosh I just found this channel I'm in 7th grade and I started playing when I was 6 I'm going to a music competition this April and I'm so nervous but anyway time to binge watch all of your videos ( some consider me music crazy!!😀😀🎶🎼🎶🎶) look forward to seeing me comment on your other videos!
Welcome to my channel! It's nice to meet another aspiring musician! I have several videos you might find helpful for your music competition. Good luck!
Kenzie Brown I just found this channel to and I'm in 7th grade as well. I have been playing the clarinet since September of 2014 so I'm not as good as her but I am really good I have advanced alot
Emma Seabrook-Power don't worry I am no were near as good either. don't worry your never amazing at the start but if your dedicated and hopefully you defenitly will get much better! I sure still have a long way to go no one I'd perfect😆😆☺
I have a buffet e11 with a Backun MoBa barrel and bell but I don't always use them. I'm saving up for a brand new buffet festival I have $800 dollars right now.
It also might have to do with me not warming up or practicing when I started. Before I played the Dumont I used the mouthpiece it had with it and it sounded pretty bad so I switched it out with my Rixo X0 and Vandoren Optimum ligature and it sounded much better. Haha I was more focused tone wise when I played the Dumont to see if it would sound any different with the different mouthpiece setup. But I do agree. I did sound better in the video on the Dumont haha.
I have a Selmer Recital Bb, Selmer Recital A, Selmer Recital Eb. Buffet Festival Bb and Buffet R13 Eb Clarinets!! I play a lot of music in 3 different groups!
I play on a buffet Bb divine, pomarico wizard crystal mouthpiece, m/o and Silverstein prelude ligatures with vandoren v21 (3) and steuer exclusive reeds (3 1/2). I thought about buying a moba cocobolo barrel, has somebody tried it?
I play on a wooden Bb flat clarinet and I think the brand is signet I couldn't really tell.it is an old clarinet so the brand was faded away.all I know about the clarinet is that it is a really expensive wooden clarinet and I'm happy my mom didn't have to pay for it again (it was her clarinet before me )because it is worth 2,000 dollars.im scared that when I start learning how to march this summer that it is going to crack.About 4 weeks ago one of the springs broke of the clarinet so we had to get that fixed.but I am hoping to get a plastic clarinet soon or a saxophone lol I really want to be able to play all the instruments lol I already know how to play trumpet because started at trumpet then moved to clarinet.well I love ur videos and have a great day😘
I've seen the Signet's on eBay. Thankfully now they're only $200 so if something happens to yours, you should be able to replace it with another! It is very important to march with a plastic horn. I would never suggest using a wooden one outside. The humidity and heat will swell the wood and cause major problems with the keys!!
ClarinetAddict I looked into that when u said that they were not good for marching and I completely freaked out lol but I hope soon that I can get a new one lol
Why do I feel like my clarinet is bad even though it’s like really expensive? It’s Yamaha brand and I didn’t look at any other information about it. It is worth about $1,500 that’s why I’m renting it. I don’t use it much anymore that’s probably why it’s bad again. I play a bass clarinet now; I don’t remember the brand or anything like that. The best part? The price. Bb clarinet: $26 a month. Bass clarinet: free because it’s from the school.
It's Nicole & Friends oh wow. I say investing in a Yamaha 255 B flat clarinet is better and cheaper and it’s the beginner model our school recommends ahah. It’s around $699 AUD sooo if you still want to play the B flat clarinet in the future, this might do bc I love my clarinet ahah and it’s one of the cheapest instruments our school has (trumpet's the cheapest)
Oh my gosh!! I subscribed I really want a shoutout and I would die to sound like you your so good like I can't even think rn I love your account I come on your account when I want to learn a new song and wish I could play like you❤️❤️
Hi Christina And Rachel! It's nice to see you enjoying my videos. However, your comment that you keep copying and pasting keeps going to my spam folder! Maybe mix it up a bit for each video. Thanks.

I have a Yamaha B flat, I love it.
Same here!
I play on a Buffet R13 with a McClune mouthpiece, a Scott barrel, and a Silverstein ligature. And V12 3.5+ are my reed brand!
Sir Jan - Keeper of the Vigil did you ever purchase the Liberta?
My Bb is a Ridenour Lyrique Libertas with an MT36 mouthpiece and Rovner ligature

Buffet R-13 with a 5RV mouthpiece

I’ve never played the clarinet and want to learn how to do so. What do you think about the Sonata Bb Clarinet?
Hi! I like your videos. I'm playing on a buffet tradition with a spriggs ligature and and Richard Hawkins "R" mouthpiece.
Also sorry I'm a little late on this video ahha
My clarinet is a Yamaha B flat. And although it's not wooden, it's still really nice.

It also might have to do with me not warming up or practicing when I started.
