Don't put me in, but I wanted to say how much I enjoy your channel and what an encouragement your videos are to me. I've started playing again after an almost 50 year break. I'm loving it!
Hey!! It's wonderful to see you again and it's been way a long time now ever since and I'll always love you because you just love Clarinets and I'm so proud of you. 😀☺😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😊🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Which book is your favorite when working with beginning students? I started with the rubank books but I can see that they could be boring for younger audiences.
I would very much appreciate the books. I teach beginner band at an elementary school, using Standard of Excellence, and supplemental books to give to students on a limited budget would be great! We aren't funded by the school district so anything is appreciated.
So I'm in, I'm learning clarinet and some extra books would be helpful since I really only have one, but one question one person wins all the books? Or a couple People win a couple different ones?
You need a thicker reed to get to high notes. The reed collapses when note are to high. It's easier to play with 2.5 but it's not a good reed to play. When I was starting out my band director told us all to use 3.5 or even 3.5 plus.
I mean I'm only going into 8th grade and was invited into the high school marching band so I'm currently in band camp I don't think I need this stuff 😂
Ashley Jackson This giveaway is more focused towards students just beginning. To give them a little inspiration and more resources rather than just having one book.
I have a question what is the difference between a Bb clarinet and other claranetts becouse i rented a claranett and it was a Bb clarinet and i dont know what that means
A "Bb" clarinet refers to the sounding key of the instrument. So if you play a C on that clarinet, what actually sounds is a concert Bb. (You can check it out with a piano) There are other clarinets in different keys. Most common are the tiny eb Clarinet and the A Clarinet. Different tunings produce different tonal qualities so it's nice to have some variety.

To all my clarinet players what sort and brand of reeds do you use?
Collz Star vandoren
Riggatony 5000 I have a 2.5 vandoren and I can not get a sound out of it no matter how hard I try.
Hmm maybe your embouchure is a little wrong? Or the strength is too high
D'addario, Légère, and vandoren will be the most common brands for reeds
