i just finish d my first Camino at 81 years old... yes im already thinking of another Camio for May of 24 ..
Hey, guys...I found your channel on your last Camino adventure and I've been following you ever since. Not to take away from the other young "couples" travel channels (you know who I'm referencing as everybody loves them) but I like y'all the best. You are both down to earth, seem honest and sincere and there is absolutely no pretense. It's so refreshing. I love y'all...hope this second Camino trek is a fun one for you. 🙂
thanks for coming along and for the kind words!! :) we know the real talk isn't for everyone, but we're glad it resonates! :D we're having a great time so far!
I feel like this time around you have a different frame of mind! Good luck! Can't wait to follow your journey.
we feel the same! :) :) thank you!!
I am looking forward to your adventure. When I walked from Puerto, I got lost as well, so I just decided to go downhill until I hit the water and took a right. It worked out just fine.
that's a great idea!! :) when in doubt, follow the water!
My husband and I completed the Portuguese litoral route in June 2022 and haven’t stopped talking about it! It was amazing and we’re planning on going back next year to do it again. Bom Caminho!
Hi, how long did it take you?
@@lareverie8285 it took us 15 days but we had 2 rest days built in, one in Villa do Condo and the other in Pontevedra.
@@loriday9625 thank you
OMG - I can't believe you are doing this again. You two are amazing!
I watched you walk the Camino last year, less than 10,000 followers then. I completed the Portuguese Camino central route in September last year. The central route is fantastic, I am so looking forward to following you to Santiago. Porto is a great Cory. Buen Camino
hi again!! thank you for coming along with us :) we are excited to see the central route too! Buen camino!
Hi Lisa and Josh! I just met your parents, Josh! Your dad came over and asked if I had a channel coz he saw me videoing and he told me about you two. They are lovely, and now I'm binge watching your channel... Have fun out there - Christine
Haha that’s amazing! :) such an incredible coincidence. And now we’re binge watching yours!
@@LisaAndJosh I appreciate that! I have a lot to learn - see you out there
I kinda of live vicariously through your videos. Thanks so much for sharing
So excited to see you two take this on again!!!!
thanks for the support!! :)
I did my first Camino last year. I loved it and am planning the Portuguese soon. The Camino feels like you could keep on doing it every year and have totally different experiences. This is so good to see you back there.
Hi. How long did it take you?
@@lareverie8285 29 Days on the Camino Frances. I should've taken longer and slowed down a little. I'll plan a bit differently when I do the Portuguese
@@WalkingEng thank you, safe travels on your next trip
Yay! I’ll be there in spirit with you guys.
Hey Lisa & Josh. I’ve so SO enjoyed watching your Portugues videos & they will inspire and help me plan my own later this year! I’m just back from a go at the Frances. It was great but blisters got me! So a new Camino dream is needed!
I'm so excited for this series, I discovered you guys through your Camino Documentary and I've gone through so much of your videos since then. Honestly such an inspiration I'm hoping to do my first Camino walk next year but I only have 2/3 weeks to spare so this might become my route.
Good luck guys!
hi there!! thanks so much for finding us and coming along with :) so awesome you'll walk soon! :)
I will be following you guys every step of the way . After watching your first Camino and how you persevered to the end ,it made me want to do one at least once in my lifetime so May next year , I am hoping to do the Camino Portuguese. You’re my inspiration. You got this 😘
thank you for coming along!! :) hope you will get to walk the camino soon!
Incredible! I can't wait to be able to venture down these paths. Good luck to you on this journey! Buen camino!
thank you, buen camino!! :)
Oh wow! So inspiring!!!
Thanks!
Thank you!! :)
So excited for both of you. I really enjoyed your Camino Frances. We will be doing the Porto in August then the Frances after. We have two and a half months so we can go slow and enjoy everything.
wow, Portugues and Frances, that's incredible :) buen camino!
Very excited to follow your Camino journey again. Followed you on your last trip and loved it. Keep walking 🚶♂️👍🏻
thanks for coming along!! :)
Oh my...I luv you two..you are sincere and fun. I thought you were a couple but Amsterdam. 😢 well I'm so glad yur back.
We totally relate to the first 45 seconds! At the time it wasn't our favorite experience, but looking back we'd do it again. We took the same route you did in Aug 2022, started in Porto on the coast and cut over to Rates for the central route. Excited to see your upcoming videos!
how awesome! curious about how you enjoyed the Central route up from Rates :)
Buen Camino! 🐚
My two daughters and I did the Portuguese camino in 2019 and it was SOOO much nicer than our French way in 2018.
so awesome to hear :) which route did you take? :) bom caminho!
@@LisaAndJosh we took the coastal the entire way.
@@LisaAndJosh we did the coastal route and it was in June so really great weather.
Brilliant - this will be my next Camino I think.
Pete and I both separately watched this on the plane 😂 can’t wait for more! 🚶♂️ 🚶🏻♀️ we both didn’t even know there was a Camino in Portugal 🤦🏻♀️
hi guys!! we didn't know either! and we were even in Porto after the first Camino ☺️
so great to see beautiful Porto again. Makes me want to go back again and do the Central way.
It’s such a beautiful city, we love Porto!
Sooo happy that you guys did the Camino again. Will be looking forward to your videos.
I would love to do it again, but.... also other places to visit... But I won't say I won't yet.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Us too!! thanks for coming along :)
It was great seeing you at the Porto Cathedral! 😄
Buen camino, you two!
Buen camino!! :)
Very happy you are on the camino again and are doing this route. I’m doing the same one in September! So excited!
September sounds like a beautiful time to walk :) buen camino!
Hapy to see you both did the Camino again. I did one last year Camino France. I binge watche your. Amino Frances videos and I guess I will do it again through Portugal. These video will help ma a lot. Thanks.
This is literally the trip that we wanted to take in March of 2020... Until something happened! Hopefully we'll get to do it at some point over the next year or two. In the meantime, we'll be following your journey. Enjoy the walk!
I totally get wanting to do the Camino again. I had a rough time for the first half if my Camino Frances but, as you know, the Camino can get a hold on you and you want to go again. Looking forward to your vids.
so, so true :)
Can't wait to follow this one! I have decided to walk it in September :)
september seems like a great time to walk it :) buen camino!!
Great stuff, guys!
thanks! :)
It just dawned on me, this is a great idea if a couple was having martial problems, and did this trek with the goal of staying together and sort all the stupid or serious stuff….it could be a great way to do it? ❤😂maybe
we hadn't thought about it like that, but I bet you're right! :) we're kinda in the camp that the camino can be helpful for all stages of life or marriage--even when things are going well :) it definitely can be a solo adventure or a bonding one for couples!
Thanks for this beautiful walk-Again 👏👏- Lisa I like your walking shoes ( think that was you?) Maybe you can expand on those features. I’d love to go on these trips and know folks who have taken the walk many times. Such an adventure. Heard Porto is a beautiful city! Have fun!! 🏃🏃♀️🏃
hi Diane! definitely! we will make a full packing video coming soon, but I just bought the newer versions of the Altra Lone Peaks in red (here's the link if you wanted to check them out: amzn.to/3l82IqX) because we loved the ones we walked in last year! thanks for coming along the adventure
I got confused on those stairs leading away from the cathedral, too! Also, despite not walking in all that much rain on my Camino's, somehow it OFTEN rains on my first day!! Just the initiation, I guess :) Excited to follow along on your journey!
feels that way! :) a little rain never hurt anyone, right? :D buen camino!
Loved the pigeon well wishes! 😂 We also liked the aggressively unfashionable hat flashback. 😉 Happy trails!!
I'll be following along vicariously. Just had to cancel my West Highlands Way hike because I broke my leg. Still will have a nice Scotland Vacation but no hiking for me. This is like therapy for me though watching you guys. Hope it's going well.
I did follow you guys the other time and I'll do again. Bon camino. Btw I loved Porto
thanks for coming along! Porto is beautiful :)
I have watched many camino videos and if there is anyone who needs to redo the walk.....it is you two. I hope this walk matures you both.
Josh, your hair looks so good long!
thanks for saying that! testing out the longer hair look :)
Wisconsin?? LOL, we are from WI.....near Wausau......We walked the Camino French way last year.....May to June
Hi, been watching your videos great work
I am not sure which video I saw you were using a app to use on a iPhone
We are doing the Camino in September, Tom
thanks! we used a mix of apps--Buen Camino, Camino Tool, google maps, also a paper map :)
Wooohoooo
I hope the ending for you guys will be different. You guys are beasts! 💪
Yay! Glad to see you’ve done another Camino :D but why did you have to buy everything from Decathlon again?
we donated a lot of our extra gear after our last Camino because we were traveling in different countries for another 9 months which didn't require trekking gear :)
Is it wrong my favorite part of this video was the Buen Camino Bird? 😄
haha yesss!! not wrong at all, that was our favorite little sneaky edit in :)
Good for you guys! We're ready to walk along with you guys again 👍👍😁😁What happened to the gear from last time? What shoes did you bring this time? Buen Camino
hey guys! thanks for coming along :) we ended up donating a lot of our gear last year (minus a few key things like our shoes and first aid kit,) since we were continuing our other travels for the rest of the year :)
we ended up with the same shoes as last time (our altra lone peaks), we love 'em. we will do a full packing video coming soon!
@@LisaAndJosh That's awesome that you guys donated your gear. We do like seeing what people pack and the little insider tips that come along with those videos. Looking forwards to that one.
@@LisaAndJosh 👋🏻 hey Lisa & Josh. Are the Altras waterproof?
Lisa, what kind of shoes are those? Were they comfortable enough ?
I recently watched your other documentary on your other Camino and didn't get the impression you didn't like it.
Did you guys carry any food or snacks ?
What? the office in Porto Cathedral don't provide the pilgrim's shell?
When did you do this Camino? Looks chilly - maybe not august?
yes! we started our camino in late February :)
Did you take any rest days on your 15 days? 🤔🤔🤔
Have you ever continued on to Finisterre?
we have not yet done that trek but would love to!!
What shoes are you wearing Lisa? They look nice and wide.
the altra lone peak 6s :) I loved the 5s and got the 6s for this trip. will post a full video on our packing list soon!
so you don't keep your gear trip to trip and you go shopping in some random store when you arrive? tell me more....lol. you travel on plane with suitcases then or what? poles? so many questions. i have to look back on your prior videos to see when you were in porto previously. i am thinking of doing the baby camino from tui.
Camino again ? I reckon going on a cruise for a while kinda make you wanna stretched out those muscles to get the circulation goin for those sea legs to adapt to living on land
haha that's so true!!!
I'm really curious about what you are carrying. You guys have been traveling a lot. What are you doing with all your stuff?
a good q! we made a pit stop at home (aka our friends/families' homes) and left a lot of extra things we didn't need for the Camino back there. we brought only what we needed for the camino this time. we'll make a packing video soon :)
한국의 위대한 언니에 소개되었네요
wow, those prices at decathalon are ridiculous! Is it any good?
Yes it’s good stuff. It’s all their own brand which is how it’s so cheap. It’s very popular in Europe
we love it and still have many of the things we've bought there!
Love decathalon
Sounds like after this is all said and done, y'all will need a beer at a Hyatt Hotel LMAO ;)
Y,ou may have started with the oldest Camino and the most beautiful, the one that goes from Oviedo to Santiago in Oviedo Cathedral they have the linum that Joseph of Arimetea rapted the bleeding head of
Jesus Christ when they brought them down of the Cross, there is a saying that goes "So you visit the servant leaving aside The Lord" the first King that made the pligrimage when the news arrived to the
Kingdom's Capital in Oviedo, that by a miracle the body was found. Good luck, fantastic wines on that road and also plenty of sea food including pulpo a feria
Is this the part you skipped two years ago?
All the blisters, exhaustion, boredom, tiredness, pain, suffering, sun, rain, wind, hills, bedbugs ... and you want to do it AGAIN?
...people who've never done it won't get it!
here we go, again! :)
It sounds to me like you were both under prepared for this trip. Also, February (winter) is not the ideal time to go. Ok, so you proved it can be done which is a big achievement but i think you would have enjoyed it more if you planned it better, got yourselves a proper map and walked fewer miles/km each day.
her we go again ,,, didnt you say that hahah , looking forward to seeing more adventures ,love 🥰
yes!! here we go! :)
