    kelvin planck statement: it is impossible to extract the internal energy if a system is fully into useful work
    clausius statement: it is impossible to transfer heat from a colder body to a hotter body without the aid of an external agemcy

    kelvin planck statement said that heat cannot be 100% changed to work, then why there is possible in isothermal process Q=W

    • @divyamenon7364
      @divyamenon7364 7 лет назад +2

      Yu Chiu, Q=W is an equivalence based on FLOT,which is an ideal situation. But KP statement is SLOT and is a practical situation.

    • @shashanksaini4477

      But it says about the cycle and you are saying about the process

    • @talalsikandar4173
      @talalsikandar4173 3 года назад +1

      Isothermal process is an apllicatoon of first law of thermodynamic whereas kelvin statement is a statement of 2nd law of thermodynamics

    Is there an intuitive reason that heat rejection to a lower temperature sink MUST occur?

    • @muhammadhussainsarhandi9928
      @muhammadhussainsarhandi9928 5 лет назад +1

      Lower temperature sink is nothing but the environment, and you can not get rid of your environment no matter where you are in the Universe. So whenever you have a hot body, it is always surrounded by the cold environment. So heat from the hot body is going to spread in the environment.
