- Something completely different to the regular programming of this channel - taking to Lake Glenbawn to hunt down some invasive carp with the bow. It's an absolute blast to do and in this video I cover the regulations of Bowfishing in NSW, the tactics I've picked up for this lake, have a look at my bow setup, and get some great fish as well.

Wow that’s outside the Box mate, your a good shot with the Bow. Nice video mate there sure are some Carp in Glenbawn I had no idea 👊
Cheers mate! Definitely something I didn’t think I’d be picking up but it’s a riot of a good time. Yeah they are plague proportions. Apparently best carp grounds are in the north so could only imagine what it’s like up there
Some mad shots! Looks fun as.
Man it’s the most fun I’ve had out in the kayak in ages 😄
Bro i love this, this video singlehandedly has got me i live in the hunter been fishing carp and bowfishing for them seems like mad fun
It’s unreal man, especially at Glenbawn. I think if you found the right spots along the hunter it would be fun stalking the bank as well. I’m now on the far south coast but have a new bow fishing setup on the way and will be doing some land based soon and will put it up on here
Good video! Miss Glenbawn! Bowfishing is definitely on the bucket list
Cheers mate! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Very challenging at the start but that’s what also makes it so fun when you get them
@@anglinguntangled We will be out there soon!
Enjoyed your video & great bow shooting too 👍
Cheers Peter, just lucky to get my best shooting on camera haha
looks like you got some great bowfishable waters!
Yeah and the water was even pretty dirty that day! I’ve heard the north of the lake is where the most carp are but I’ve got no chance of getting there in a kayak
we pulled 30 from the river not far from here, thought bow fishing for them might be viable but at that entry price I think I will stick with rods unless I come across a cheap 2nd hand set up
Yeah they’re bloody thick up there. 2nd hand will be the go for a cheap good setup, will just want a bow with around 30-40lb of draw weight. If it’s a compound bow then all the gadgets will just bolt on
Awesome mate... was this recent?was thinking of coming out there in the next few weeks.
Yeah mate was shot last month. Just got to pick a nice clear and still day and you’ll have a ball
Nice shots mate like the clip would like to know where i could get myself a bow would like to try bow fishing looks like a lot of fun any tips on where i get buy one I’m in NSW too
Cheers mate! I got of my gear online from either red back archery and apex hunting. But, I might be selling my setup if you’re interested. Im just moving to where I won’t be able to use it due to no carp
Great video. Certainly an effective and efficient way of getting rid of Carp. I was wondering if you still need a fishing licence in NSW even though you are targeting Carp?
Cheers Luke! Yeah bowfishing falls under fishing so a license is required.
Hey mate, where you buying your bow gear from ?
I got different parts online from red back archery and apex hunting 👍🏼
Why this isn't legal in Vic is beyond me!
Yep you’s are missing out. Hopefully changes soon
@@anglinguntangled fingers crossed mate. some cracking shots in there, bloody thick with em. Top stuff 🤙🏼
Just wait until they are a little more invasive
