Thanks everyone for watching! Are there any questions about essential Dutch phrases? What phrases did I miss and should I put in another video?
what does “doar edde gij et lef ni veur” mean?

I'm portuguese and wish to study philosophy at KU leuven. Even though I wish to take an international course, I am aware of the importance in knowing flemish, and so, I want to learn it.

Thank you for this video. We are from Canada and are going to Belgium for three weeks and just wanted to pick up a few words and phrases in Flemish-Dutch.
Thanks from California! My friends live in Ghent. I'm trying to learn some basics during this lockdown. I love Belgium!
Amazing! Good luck with that! :-)
Afrikaans is my first language and i can understand most of these phrases without subtitles. We simplified things and have influences from other languages as well but for the most part Dutch makes up like 90% of Afrikaans. You need to speak what we call "Suiwer Afrikaans" to be able to somewhat communicate with a Dutch person. Klop gedaan meneer!
Awesome video!! I'll be in Belgium in a couple of months, and really wanted to learn some basic words in Dutch, this is so useful and easy to follow along!

Thank you! you are very clear explaining Dutch/Flemish =D
Is er een verschil tussen “versta”, “begrijp” en “snap”?
I think there is a diffence between versta in Flemish and Dutch.
In Flemish it is 'I don't understand you'
In Dutch 'I can't hear clearly what you are saying'.
thank you so much! @@johnroekoek12345
In the meanwhile I've understood the different in standard dutch during the last year :D but I didn't know it for Flemish yet, danku!
Ik versta, ik begrijp and ik snap basically all mean "I understand" but are used in different contexts. "Snap" however is the most specific hence less used.
@@flitsertheo dankjewel :)
Bedankt😊Dag🙋♂️
Hello Dutch & Go, sorry I couldn't find your name. I was wondering if you could please make a video with vocabulary words. I would love to find one in Vlaams instead of Nederlands Dutch, since I like the accent much better. If you are able to do it, would you also please include the English translation? That way I can learn while doing other things. Thank you so much for your consideration 🤗
Nout! There it is. Sorry. Fijn weekend!
