Clean your mass air flow sensor, mine made awful noise sounded like nails in a tin bucket but I cleaned that sensor and it ran like new again, year later it's only a single cilnder having fuel mix issues but I been cleaning the sensor and the noise leaves for a few days
@@everydayaveragefamily yeah my noise won't go away still after soaking the sensor so I'm not sure what's going on with the engine, just spent 3k to have it rebuilt only 15k miles ago
Time for a rebuild, I have a 4.6 DOHC in my Marauder that sounds a lot like that engine. Was inside of it and did chains and an oil pump was still pretty noisy. Top-end looked good but will bleed down after sitting. 160K on the engine, it's just a lot easier to pop the engine and rebuild when they start to get all noisy.

I clean me sensor once a year, It never helped.
