As an MMA fan who started watching years after the Silva injury, seeing it didn’t really faze me because I expected it and didn’t really have any backstory on Silva or his legacy. I had a similar fracture in the military and when I was rushed to the medic, the doc wanted to put a rod in my leg, tibia, I said hell no! It took 3-months where I can walk without crutches, 6-months of physical therapy to rebuild the muscles, and 10-months where I can run and lightly sprint, again!
