And its aight, some of us do speak english, but thanks for your effort to put spanish subtitles, it makes it easier to share your videos with friends, which i will. As recomendations of places to go would be... 1 CU which "Ciudad Universitaria" which is the campus of the bigest University in Latinamerica, it is huge its a must visit. 2 Go to La Villa, is esentially a church but it is one of the most important places for Catholic people, not only in Mexico but it has even been recognize by the Pope 3 Plaza de las 3 Culturas in Tlatelolco, this place is so important for the city history, not only cuz of pre-hispanic history but also in 1968 the gouvernment killed and disapeared all the students who were protesting at this place, in order to not affect the Olimpic Games that were later that year. 4 Museo de Antropologia, this is probably the most important museum in the city, it is right next to Chapultepek Park 5 If you want to see the modern and futuristic part of the city yet kind of soul-less you can go to Santa Fe, lot of Sky Scrapers there. 6 Monumento a la Revolucion, which is close to Centro Historico 7 If you dont have trouble going out of the city you can go to Taxco, pretty Colonial city, and is one of many "Magic Towns" or "Pueblos Magicos" around Mexico 8 You can go to las Tragineras in Xochimilco, for a nice ride on boat, it is in Mexico City. 9 Theres also a Local Pyramid which is in Cuicuilco, just South of the City, pretty close to UNAM 10 The Museum of Fridah Kahlo which is in Coyoacan So far thats all i have, but if you need more surely i could think of more :) Looking forward to your great vids, Keep em up!
First World Traveller. HOLA. A MI ME GUSTARIA SALIR EN TU VIDEO. PERO NO VIVO EN. CIUDAD DE MÉXICO. VIVO EN GUADALAJARA. MÉXICO. OJALA UN DIA PUEDAS VENIR. ME GUSTAN TUS VIDEOS
Cheers! I really love your appreciation of our beautiful hectic and buzzing city. I'm really proud about the places you've shown in your vids, however if sometime you come back to Mexico city I'd love to give you recommendations of places that I know would really blow you away!
Hi, I just discovered you and been watching your videos all night. Fun. You want recomendations? I use to ve a tourist guide there. Go to UNAM, specially to the lava garden and the jardin escultorico. Go to el Chopo market (saturdays, around 11am, next to the Vasconcelos librarie) get a car tour in the second flor of the periferico (I will just get a taxi or an uber, or get a friend with a car an pay him the gas), go to the roof of the catedral (15 pesos I belive), go to the Lationamerican tower at sunset and to the citadela (balderas metro station) on sunday morning--- and go party!! enjoy that crazy place.
Cheers mate, I'm a Mexican-born, American. I've been interested in learning about this beautiful library and the building architecture. I've visited La CDMX, a couple of times, but have yet to make it to "la biblioteca". Greetings from Florida, USA! 🇲🇽🇺🇸
Tao of David oh no, landing in Mexico City is specially hard because it’s a Valle and the airplane spirals down and out of the city. It makes me sick 🤢
Wonderful video. I'm glad you were able to stay and make some friends. The people of Mexico are so warm and welcoming. It's another reason why I love to travel down there.
Hi, I'm from México and is lovely to see how much you love my country! you're so welcome here. I wanna share a mexican saying with you "Mexicans are born anywhere they fucking want" - Chabela Vargas. That means that for being Mexican doesn't mean you have to be born here. Once you loved México you're becoming one of us.
I know that you are a traveler so you must travel elsewhere and take breaks...i get it....but i miss Mexico videos so I'm gonna binge watch all your Mexico stuff!
Check out the AMAZING Biblioteca Vasconcelos in CDMX! It was Awesome! Are you from Mexico? Check out subtitles in Spanish for the first time! Let me know if there's anything in CDMX you'd like me to do a video on while I'm here! PEACE 😉🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
hey! great video! i'm a new mexican suscriber, the Modern Art Museum is not very popular but i think it should be one of the most underrated museums in the city, it has many nice paintings, and nowadays there are a Leonor Carrington's exhibition, she used to be Max Ernst's couple so i think it could be interesting if you like surrealism art. If you like architecture the Casa Luis Barragan is also a nice and non very famous place to visit, Luis Barragán was the most influent architect in Mexico, he even won a Pritzker or maybe the Cineteca Nacional could be another interesting option the architecture is pretty nice and they have a really good art movies selection. Have a great time here!
polypolinsky hey I thought I'd replied to this already but apparantly not! Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll do some research over the weekend. I definately love architecture particularly art deco and art nouveau!
This weekend there will be a festival called Open House, so you can go to many places for free!! you can check the map and all the buildings in the website: ohcdmx.org
Love love loved the editing on this one David. Those slow pan shots in the library and the sound transition of the music to the dude with the instrument in the street, nice👍🏼 Enjoy the rest of your time in Mexico 😊
Expect a lot of Mexicans watching your videos. We are in need for external appreciation because we've been lied about the greatness of our own country. Quick guide on how not to be a gringo but a local. Don't call yourself American, in Mexico we are all Americans, stop believing the movies, united states is not the greatest country in the world, is just a place. When presented with exotic food eat it and enjoy it. Every person in the country will help you feel ok, will feed you, will invite you into his/her house, you are among friends. Insecurity is very rare and it's most probable that you will never face it. Learn the basic words, we appreciate a lot people's effort to be nice. Don't lower the prices given to you even if you could. Don't treat nothing and nobody as exotic or pintoresque. Make friends with a pretty Mexican girl an have her as your guide. You will have more fun that way. If you smoke pot you will have more fun. Go to house parties and family reunions. When you eat give yourself to the experience of genius made into food. At the end of every meal eat something very picante so you stretch your palate, the more picante the food the tastier so it helps that you can handle the picor. Every time you we say hello we give a hug of pure love, do that.
Great tips! Thanks for your input! Really glad that lots of Mexicans are watching, hopefully I can portray Mexico in a positive light. Many people from back in the UK are surprised because they have all have bad ideas about Mexico.
Science Self~You are soooo correct, it's time we begin to educate the people's of USA as we are all Americans from the tip of Alaska to the tip of the Patagonia 😈 No more being a submissive Latino's but strong and sooo we will make the rules 😅
I'm glad you're having a good time in Mexico, just be patient and know that everything will only get better, you're in first world country unlike the USA, people there are really free, the "LAND OF FREE THE LAND OF THE BRAVE" is just bullcrap, walk down any beach in USA with a beer in your hand and you will get arrested, walk down the beach in Mexico and other people will offer you another beer if yours has gotten hot.
Yay for being a night owl and catching video uploads at 1am! You can tell you're more settled and enjoying a better balance in life. Also, amazing vid quality. The art in CDMX is stunning!
Gemma Green thanks gemma! I was actually quite happy with this video! My stabiliser and go pro did well! This library was immense! And I even wrote Spanish subtitles! (Well Google translate did) lol
I'm so happy for you David! 👏🤸😀 ahhh, breathe, balance. Good editing, visual & musical. What an impressive biblioteca, storing the knowledge of humanity, the most important job in the world 📖📓📚.
it is good you came to visit our country and city, there are alot of places to visit and things to eat, but be careful with the food and water at stray stands, even we get sick sometimes with stray food. Do not forget to go to Ciudad Universitaria and its central library

Biblioteca comes from greek which means biblios=books and teka=box, literally box of books, in spanish library can be understood as librería=book store. Saludos!
Great video! Love the cinematic shots in the library!!! I am happy you are doing better and actually enjoy yourself finally! And suggestion for next Mexico video - FOOD VIDEO PLEASE!! :-) Take care, hun
Tereza Vanura haha thanks hun there is a bit of food coming soon in one video I've filmed already but I'm still demolishing toilets on a daily basis lolz. I'll risk my life and do a street food tour xx
Visit Ciudad Universitaria, our main university in the country (UNAM). Hola Luisenrique! ¡ Bienvenido a mi canal!
Get out to Frida Kahlo museum and Leon Trotsky house and museum. Excellent work and you're doing the world a great service by showing realities and not propaganda. Be well!
Hi there! You are so welcome amigo. Enjoy, get fun, eat a lot, make friends, you're in México! And we love the people that show us as we really are. 😊🇲🇽❤️
Glad things have improved in terms of english lessons. Very well made vid overall. Makes me wanna spend more time on YT now. Ive got a couple more vids to make. Including a CDMX one myself. Great looking library too. Loved all that street art as well.
What a kind thought about my country. I recommend you to go visit two different places. Both are fancy. If you prefer a New York vibe you might go to Santa Fe first. But if you want to know real mexican vibe you must go to Cuicuilco area. Where you can find Carlos Slim’s Mall and kids park, Tlalpan Forest, Unam cultural side campus, Six Flags Mexico and Perisur huge mall. Last but not least, in the center of everything, Cuicuilco’s ruins. By the way, for both sites you really really need a car.
I say old chap~have you had a third encounter yet, I say soooo because Mexico has the most third encounters and space-crafts than any place on this seventh rock from the Sun😈
Saludos
Go everywhere but Polanco. Already over rated. Great videos. San Angel and Tlalpan. Tepotzotlán, insurgentes south all the way down from Roma sur to periférico
Great music choices! I want to visit that library. Have you been to UNAM yet? How does your visa work down there? Very cool that you found your happy place! Living the dream!!
One more statistic about Mexico Did you know that more americans abroad make their home all over this Aztec nation that anywhere else in the world including England & Canada More than 1 million americans live in Mexico and more than 550,000 of canadians make their home there too. In really americans do love Mexico that about 25 million of them visit that country every year and groing If americans that cross the free zone border of Mexico especially Tijuana, Baja California Mexico insead of being 6th place in the world in international tourism would be number 1 in the world
Jorge MC that doesn't even make any sense. Great stuff for my next hate comments video thanks xx First world problems - look it up and you might understand
I haven't eaten much of it, I'm still destroying toilets quite regularly but I like it regardless, it's like the food regret you get after eating a dodgy pizza
