I found Jinjer from hearing Waltz and I was very impressed. Found them online and heard that song put me on this journey with Tati. It's not the best song but it was enough to capture my ear. That was 2012.

A surprising number of singers have high anxiety like that tho. Mark Hunter from Chimaira has Social Anxiety Disorder. I dont even want to imagine what its like living with some sort of high anxiety like that then still having to get up there and be an absolute badass for an hour+ every night in front of thousands of people literally watching everything you do. Fuck all that.
I know that has to be murder on her vocal cords! I understand she has trained and practiced for years and taught herself. Still, she will have to back down some day. It sucks because she's the greatest in my opinion. However would hate to see her hurt herself.
If done properly (and I'm no expert but it seems like her technique is very good) harsh vocals are not hard on vocal cords - little to no vocal cords are used, especially how she does it. She actually sounds better live now than she did years ago, and she was always great live. Again, no expert, but I believe what she does and how she does it is very sustainable.
Not saying she isn't grateful, but you can tell at the VIP meet and greets how uncomfortable she is, like she can't wait for it to be over because of the anxiety
