0:05 Its a weird roundabout cause I don't see any yield signs for the direction you are honking at, and it looks like the road is made to be outside the roundabout.
@@culcune Rotaries are what roundabouts are called in New England. The rules are the same though. I know another part of the country calls them traffic circles (DC?).
7:28 - watch the speed reading in the lower left. Cammer starts out going 45, cars start crossing in front of him, and he keeps accelerating up to 57 before he finally starts braking at the last second.
1:20 We see so many clips where, in a dual turn lane, the inside moves outside. This is the first in a long time where we get to see the outside move inside. It is actually fairly common near me where the dual turn is also near the freeway entrance. Many do not want to wait in the inside turn line (the one that gives you access to the freeway) so they take the outside and try to cut over mid turn. If they fail that, they still will later try to cut across the lane to get to the turn lane for the freeway.
There's a dual turn lane in a town over from me where 3/4 the way through the turn is the on ramp to a highway. ALL the kids (college town) assume people in the outside lane are taking the northbound onramp. I've been nearly sideswipped so many times that I refuse to go that way. It's so weird, I don't think I have ever seen someone around me mess up a dual turn lane. Like there are tons of awful drivers, but that is one thing they seem to do correctly. Course I'm always prepared to hit the brake if they do...
Leave it to a Prius to commit multiple traffic violations, then run after making contact. Look! I'm saving the planet. But I can't comprehend basic third grade level driving skills, traffic laws, traffic markings, and traffic signs!

I had to remind her to just enter the second lane if that's the one she was initially in regardless of the existence of any guide lines.
About the oil co. truck: we had a true case which took place many years past- the 70s. Although I can't remember names, I can remember that an old man, dying of cancer went out onto I-40, cut a truck off & slammed the brakes. The wreck killed him & his wife sued, even though the trucking company offered a $200,000 settlement. She went to court, lost, & got zilch. If she hadn't gotten greedy, she would have settled for 200 grand for an accident 100% her husband's fault- sad!
I'd be curious as to how the trucking company proved it in court, like were there other witnesses? I just mean cause 1970's I am guessing there wouldn't have been dashcams.
@@scottthewaterwarrior I can’t say this is what happened in OP’s case, but LE and insurance companies used to do a recreation of an accident involving a fatality. With dash cams and street cams more prevalent today, I don’t know if they still recreate the accident.

@Winston The German Shorthair Pointer Most rain I've seen was when I was in Korea during a typhoon. 5 inches in 15 minutes according to AFKN (U.S. army base news). It was incredible. Like being under a waterfall with sheets of water coming down everywhere. The Korean news was displaying numbers around a thousand which I originally thought were millibars (air pressure), but then later realized they were rainfall totals in mm (i.e. over 1 meter, or 39 inches). Anyway, the problem is California normally gets so little rain, most of the drivers here have no idea how to drive safely in it. The news just aired footage of a flooded underpass. A guy drove his car around the "road closed" signs, past the news crew filming, around the 2 other cars which had stalled in the water, then promptly flooded and stalled his car.
@@ezrashonor Its like a river of moisture in the sky that dumps tons of rain. The reason California is getting so much this year is because the jet stream is farther south than usual, concentrating the rain in one area instead of fluctuating along the west coast.
Just because there's a crosswalk doesn't not automatically mean the pedestrian has the right of way. If there's a red crossing signal, cars have the right of way.
That’s my video, the speed limit is 45 until you go under the light, that’s when the road changes from Thomson bridge to green street which is when the speed limit changes to 30. So technically I was going under the speed limit. Plus they didn’t even stop at the stop sign.

Depends where in Florida as it's hit or miss depending on the road. This rider should have indicated they wanted to change lanes and turn at the light. Traffic seems heavy enough I would ride to the light and wait for the change.
7:18 - It's jaywalking. Most of today's youth don't understand what jaywalking is. Additionally, people don't realize how well their clothes and cars get camouflaged into surroundings such as the road.
I know! Drives me nuts. I drove my daughter crazy telling her many times..."Who loses between pedestrian and vehicle?" She'd roll her eyes and say, "I know Dad, pedestrian every time." But I can guarantee you her head is on a swivel crossing the street as a pedestrian now that she's an adult.
#22 Actually, the cyclist is within his rights to do that, as he is a vehicle, not a pedestrian. He would be better off using the crosswalk ahead of him, but it was a legal move.
He's within his rights if he can do it safely. Just like with a car, you have to give safe distance, etc. before changing lanes. That cyclist was behaving as if he was keeping up with traffic. Don't get injured defending your right of way ;)
1:56 I read that as "I was not sure if they hit me, so I just kept driving. Later I realized they had hit me and I needed an excuse for why I did not pull over."
It's the meteorological name. There's a band of humid air (hence "atmospheric river") coming from the direction of Hawaii towards California. And air coming south from Canada off the U.S. west coast is colliding with it and chilling it, causing all the rain falling on California.
Oh, just read the end credits. They took two cars to brunch. Makes complete sense now. Yeah, you can't let somebody change lanes on the way to or from brunch. WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY!
At the beginning of the clip, that Prius driver either obliviously or on purpose blatantly cut off the cammer by turning from the inside lane of a dual left turn lane to the OUTER lane (opposite of what we normally see) so I understand why the cammer didn't want to see what other stupid tricks they had up their sleeve.
@@culcune I mean, I'd rather have the idiot in front of me where I can easily see them then to the side or behind me. Already proved themselves to be dumb, so if given the opertunity to pass, I'd want to do it real careful like.

That second part, getting a move on, is what is so irritating. If I'm crossing in front of anyone, even in a crosswalk, I pick up the pace. That should be the standard. If you know you are holding others up you should get a move on.
4:30 reminded me of the freeway I drove in Boston. You have to merge in from the left lane and cut through four lanes of heavy traffic to get an exit that is roughly 1000 feet.
7:58 legal or not, if you are on a bicycle and you ride on a major highway like this expecting cars to treat you the same as a motor vehicle you are an absolute maniac
During my college days, there was one curve that was always busy with both vehicles and pedestrians. While I was waiting with other pedestrians, one girl was saying that pedestrians have the right-of-way and cars are supposed to stop for them, so she just started crossing the street without a care. I remember thinking, "Girl, if you get hit, I'm going to laugh." Years later, I learned that drivers on the Northside of Indianapolis don't like to yield for pedestrians.
3:36 Why were you on the wrong side of the parking lot? You cut the turn so sharp that you were over the stop line for the opposite direction of traffic and remained on the opposing side. 100% the other driver's fault, but your own poor driving absolutely contributed to that accident.
5:35 That is why when you see action like that up ahead you should slow down immediately. It's amazing in what random directions cars can head when they lose control.
Some people will risk life and limb just to make their exit. Since my girls were little, I have always reminded them that it is no big deal to miss an exit, and you certainly don't cut across multiple lanes to exit. Just take the next one and turn around.
1:36 dual turns suck and idiots don't know how they work, we get it. But how does your rear view mirror fold in? Or are you talking about the sideview mirror? Lol
Just noticed the little picture of the lady talking attached to the comments in the videos. She looks a lot like the lady who used to do the same thing on another channel (UCCC). Anyone else notice this?
It would be great if both of them were on the correct side of the parking lot. The truck and trailer were on the wrong side for a reason. The cammer blindly followed the truck on the wrong side of the parking lot and was tailgating when there was more than enough room on the correct side. There were also open parking spots the cammer could've used to go around the truck and trailer.
That and good drivers watch the ramps and anticipate what is going to happen. Terrified truck drivers that refuse to move from the truck passing lane when another truck wants to pass should be fired.
Babicka Fantastica - clearly wrong. You need to listen to the video again, there is definitely a loud knock as the jeep swings way out of the parking lot. There is a second lower sound as they cross the train track.
@Falcon2 Why is it so hard to understand? The dashcam only looks forward, as the jeep goes out of view it is maybe 20-30cm within its lane (not "a few feet") and is still clearly moving toward the cammer's car. The timing is so perfect that there really is no other sensible explanation. Occam's razor applies.
@Falcon2 Sound seems to be synced pretty well when crossing the train tracks, so unless it somehow was wildly out of sync only a few seconds earlier, the timing doesn't make sense for the jeep to have made contact given the speed, position in the lane, and the rate at which they were straightening out. Maybe the camer had some _really_ wide fender flairs!
When you watch the videos, the accidents or near accidents are caused by; total lack of situational awareness, distracted driving, and speed, does not matter where I'm going, I would rather be 10 minutes late, than 10 minutes early in the next. Ridesafe, Ridefar,,Openroads
0:03 Poorly designed rotary. The two vehicles passing in front of the cammer are traveling straight staying on 16-East. Its the cammer who is entering from a side road. Per signage, the cammer has the right of way, but it seems counterintuitive.
7:58 #22 Unfortunately, that's the only way for a cyclist wanting to make a left turn to get to the left turn lane on a large multi-lane street like this. The alternative is for him to get into the left lane ahead of time (slowing down all the traffic behind him while he approaches the turn lane), then get into the turn lane. (I suppose an unconventional way to do it would be to take the crosswalk as if he were a pedestrian, then get back on his bike once he reaches the left turn lane.)
Do people realize that it's not a "rearview" mirror that folds in it's a SIDE mirror... everytime I see this and wonder.... how do you fold a rearview mirror?

Some drivers need a serious lesson in anger management. Road rage won't get you anywhere fast.
TY
4:51 - Scary thing to the biker seeing a Jeep coming at you.
1:56 « cant move lanes cause of wet conditions » really? Pls, stay home if it’s not dry!
5:37 You just witnessed someone crashed into the barrier and you still driving towards them.🤦🏾♀️
5:35 That is why when you see action like that up ahead you should slow down immediately. It's amazing in what random directions cars can head when they lose control.
"I know people might be hurt or bleeding or unconscious or dying, but my boss says if I'm late one more time, I might get written up!"
BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL OUTRO. Second time asking.
The amount of bad drivers we see is horrendous and it seems to be getting worse! Although, it is great to see a bit of instant karma now and again 😁👍
2:15 "Oh no, my brakes failed" - I could never make it as a truck driver.
Happy Wednesday. # 1
6:05 I wonder if the guys was like this little truck pulls like a diesel. Can’t even tell we’re towing anything.
Remember the #1 of driving in Bad weather .... NEVER Slow Down. Ever ...
Exactly! In fact, you want to go _faster_ then normal so you are on the road for less time! ;p
Some people will risk life and limb just to make their exit. Since my girls were little, I have always reminded them that it is no big deal to miss an exit, and you certainly don't cut across multiple lanes to exit. Just take the next one and turn around.
2:43 Cammer is doing 52 in a 35mph zone (according to him). Who was speeding again?
Thankful for wire. We just don’t say that enough. 3:44
How the HELL do you not notice that you've lost the weight of a Toyota Tacoma behind you?
1:36 dual turns suck and idiots don't know how they work, we get it. But how does your rear view mirror fold in? Or are you talking about the sideview mirror? Lol
Just noticed the little picture of the lady talking attached to the comments in the videos. She looks a lot like the lady who used to do the same thing on another channel (UCCC). Anyone else notice this?
It’s always been like that 😂
@@Bigbonkyyy Guess I just can't afford to pay attention. Maybe I need a side hustle.
At 4:45 the quality of that video is MUCH BETTER than every other video clip. Does anyone know which camera this is?
Look in the bottom right corner... Says VIOFO A129
I have a Rove r2 4k and it is that clear. It picks up great at night too.
I have the same camera and it's terrific. It's also moderately prices.
Don't mess with semi truck drivers.
Many of the dash drivers were speeding. That’s like a magnet for accidents and cutoffs. If you’re the one speeding, you’re usually to blame.
I live in Houston, if I did not follow the flow of traffic (usually speeding) it is more dangerous.
3:42 - If you hear a honk, take a second to think why you're hearing it!
I'd like to think I'd spend the honking time to get out of the way.
Clip 5 is why I have no problem with my company installing a camera in my truck.
#11. You merge with the gas pedal, not the brake pedal!!!
That and good drivers watch the ramps and anticipate what is going to happen.
Terrified truck drivers that refuse to move from the truck passing lane when another truck wants to pass should be fired.
Love how people lay down the horn for an hour. Whats that going to do?
#17 and obviously half blind if they didn't notice the truck missing in their mirrors!
How can you not know your car has fallen of your trailer in the middle of the road ?????
0:25 What`s the problem for the Honda giving some space for the SUV???!!! He signaled that he needed to cross...
1:47 - That Jeep did not hit you. It was nowhere near your car when that "bang" happened. It sound like something flew and hit your car
I think they said the jeep was just pulling out of side turn onto the main road, presumably just before the video starts.
@Falcon2 Okay see it now, the timing of the hit was exactly at the moment when the jeep was swinging out, I have no doubt that it actually hit them.
Maybe the camer had some _really_ wide fender flairs!
lets just sit here and honk my horn while a truck and trailer back up when ihsouldnt have been so close to begin with.. lol
It's not a very round rotary.
2:01 of course you could have moved lanes to follow him !
Not sure where the poors get the audacity to think they actually deserve to drive when they can't afford it
I like the new outro music!
You're wrong.
Why not use arm signals
@@bunchagrapes The cyclist did use arm signals.
@lsj8 o okay
Correct. Bicycles are supposed to use traffic lanes like cars. Unfortunately, it's very unsafe.
Yes that’s why we need more bike lanes and infrastructure to make it safer for bicyclists and pedestrians. Protected bike lanes are the best!
Do people realize that it's not a "rearview" mirror that folds in it's a SIDE mirror... everytime I see this and wonder.... how do you fold a rearview mirror?
Clip 5: good for you!
