Relapse is so underrated man the whole album was like a novel. It stands as it's own entity, like a movie. Classic.
This was Em first getting clean so he went into the studio with Dre and just started freestyling
Kenny McCoy actually, I believe he was still trying to detox from all of the pills he was addicted to. This is why his album sounded strange compared to all the rest.
He was flushing everything out. Cleaning out his closet. A clean slate. This was him being able to completely rejuvenate by letting ALL the demons out.

james Croom nope. this song came out in 2009, he was 1 year sober. he overdosed in 2007. so he was literally clean and sober when he wrote and released this song. you can read interviews and find out why he wrote this shit, but beautiful is the only song on relapse that he started writing before his OD and getting clean.

Em would have been a serial killer had he not made it as a rapper. So many slept on songs off Relapse. It's personally my second or third favorite album of his. I love the accents he used to achieve the word play and rhymes he had. So damn good!!
