I get a lot of hate for this but RELAPSE is my favorite Em album. I liken it to those greatest of terryfying horror film masterpieces by the likes of Astor, Polanski, Friedkin, Raimi, Hooper and Argento, comparable even to the epic horror novels of Clive Barker. In that it does horror on a masterful level while accomplishing that rarest of rare in horror: elevating the genre to a pure distilled art form. Never understood the hate he gets for his content especially in this album. Horror movies have for decades been showing the same and even way worse, and without any artistry whatsoever, on screen than what he describes in his horror core tracks. And no one complains about it anymore when it's a horror film. SMH. It's just crazy to me that most critics can't see or recognize the artistry of this album and most of his horror core tracks. The fact the he was able to transmute the best of horror films and put that into an album, with incredibly inventive scenarios, unusual beats, insane schemes, sick rhyme and flow is truly incredible, and only further shows his actual genius. I will never stop praising this album. Maybe someday the rest of the world will catch up to its greatness. Because Much like The Excorcist (which was heavily criticized and boycotted and even banned in its time) it's a horror masterpiece.

If you count in rhythm 1-2-3-4 with the beat, the kick is typically on the 1 and the snare on the 3. Easy to nod your head to. However, this chorus adds an extra beat/quarter note, so you'd have to count 1-2-3-4-5 in order to stay with the beat. This beat is actually pretty difficult to count to imo.
