Frankly, I feel like the relationship should have ended. And honestly, the guy is not at fault for most of it.

Which part would be his fault? Losing his temper after being pushed away and basically rejected for most of the pregnancy? Ops only human and he clearly tries so hard.
      He deserves better.

@@aliceblack8036 I know you deserve better. I relate to the guy a lot. My wife did the same to me kind of throughout her pregnancy. She used to slap me a lot. She's better now because she's not pregnant. But pregnancy really makes my wife violent.

@@Shadowy_2omg! That's not normal or ok.

@@Djwyrm Frankly, I believe it is at this point. My entire family, including my own mother, thinks it was normal and OK. I know if rules are reversed. I'd be kicked out on the street though.

I don't agree. She did wrong, but not out of malice or disrespect. In other words, she made a mistake. A big one yes, but still a mistake. Being so unforgiving of mistakes, like you suggest, is a big reason why people are so lonely and miserable today. Because of op's kind heart the family stayed together, with no further trauma to everyone and they can start healing together.

I knew she was insecured. That friend is not a good friend. Maybe she been through a tough life, but she gives negative advice.

OPs wife needs a better friend group! It may only be one of them spouting off the BS, but if no one calls it out, they’re just as toxic. A family almost got ruined over poor communication and a meddling miserable “friend”! Thank God they had some honest communication before it was too late!

Your wife deserves a gold medal for the mental gymnastics she pulled off.

I seriously hate the comments OP was getting. It's seriously reminding me that Reddit is best used to vent and not ask for advice.
Do I seriously need to remind everyone here how 50% reacted to how a different OP reacted to her ex-husband nearly getting her newborn hurt or worse by letting himself get distracted by his and OP's neighbor?
(Not all of the comments that OP (from the story in this video) was getting were bad, but at least a handful are what bothers me.)

Seriously. Anyone who would say that to a pregnant woman is just evil.

5 minutes in and it sounds like an affair baby to me. Why else would she refuse to let him have ANYTHING to do with her pregnancy?
Edit: Welp, that was answered pretty quickly, lol

The next time she says anything along the lines of "You've already had this experience before so blah blah blah..." you immediately interject and say point blank, without any attempt to soften the delivery that her entire outlook is 100% undeniable bullshit, that every pregnancy is special for most parents, and that she nor anyone else has the right to dictate to you how you feel about anything, period. Then ask her to imagine for a moment that this was her second pregnancy instead of her first. Would she expect to be unable to feel any kind of excitement or interest regarding the pregnancy just because she had already been through it before?

Both parties should openly communicate with each other without being dismissive

In this case, op clearly did everything he could to be a part of his wifes pregnancy but she shuts him down in every turn. She is in the wrong for not LETTING him be a part of this journey and moving the focus to ops dauther everytimes the pregnancy topic comes up. She sucks, plain and simple.

Being pregnant makes some women literally go insane, and doctors often don't help. I begged my psych doctor and my OBGYN for help and I was totally dismissed.

op should have made an ultimatum long ago she is a bad partner and parent already playing favorites and trying to force op to play favorites, she put her friend over her husband lied to him gaslight him, made decisions on his behalf, completely dismissed him and decided he was a liar that couldnt be trusted, while acting like an easily manipulated 3 hr old all over a comment that should have ended the friendship, i personally would have divorced her ass thats unnacceptable
