Having lived in Las Vegas for many years I know how high the crime rate is there. I watch the local news there and I would recommend anyone that wants to visit or live there to do the same. There are high crime areas all over Vegas, especially near the Stratosphere and North Las Vegas, but even the gated and most safe appearing affluent areas Downtown and the Strip have homicides, robberies, car jacking and random shootings now.
I got one for you guys. My husband and I were in Las Vegas several years ago and we wanted to go eat at Stratosphere for our anniversary. We rode the Tran as far as it went and then thought we would walk the rest! But, because we are older though we would catch the bus from there. As we were standing there reading which bus to get on, a young man stood next to my husband (with a skateboard in hand) and I felt the need to stand in between them! I just knew as soon as my husband pulled out his wallet to pay for the bus ride the dude was going to grab and go! Don’t miss understand we have been to Las Vegas several times as a matter of fact we got married there in 2012 and had been there way before that. Please be careful and safe and always watch the people around you!
@@DTMFirearms no he got on his skateboard and rode away! Then I explained to my husband what was about to happen if I didn’t step in between them. He was so into figuring the correct bus to get on and not thinking of the young man standing next to him.
I was in a peacekeeper in Kosovo and did security work for 10 years with a few companies. I've seen a lot of crimes that never were reported by the news and have arrested multiple burglars. People who don't work in the security industry and don't know anyone in the security industry don't realize how many criminals are nearby them.
:) Danny! On this more serious note, KUDOS for sharing and expressing your insights, particularly with your experience and background. I believe its EVERYONES' responsibility to be AWARE of your surroundings, and NO Law Enforcement can get to you soon enough as and IF needed. ALL the BEST and THANKS MUCH! :)
Agree with most of your comments. We need laws that enforce that actions has consequences. We don't have much of that nowadays. And the criminals know it. I live in an anti-2nd amendment state where criminals have more rights and protections than law abiding citizens.
criminals have more rights and protections than law abiding citizens.... lets not say things that are not true, if we are to be taken seriously we need to be right.
I only open carry if there are two of us or more in a group and we are all open carrying. I never open carry by myself. well, there was this one time at the DMV where they dont allow conceal carry but open was allowed.. but that was it
Being a female with a significant disability is someone very vulnerable. I’m a quadriplegic and also a female. I have taken many precautions for my safety. I do not carry spray or a gun because I know I would not be safe for using it on someone to keep me safer. It would do me more harm. I have been instructed to use my power wheelchair as a weapon to hurt someone.
You should check the metro shooting here in Los Angeles California The security guards shot and killed a criminal in the train station or outside and other security a the Home Depot shots at one agresivo man he died to. . They kill you if you act stupid
Danny, If you want to see criminal activities on a regular basis just rent a room at any of the Siegel Suites or any of those weekly hotels on Boulder Highway like Budget Suites. Just be careful though.
First off, nowadays it doesn’t matter who you’re. Anybody can be a target at any points. Specially a senior citizen. Secondly, I 100% agree that you need to carry with extensive training and knowledge about weapons. Thirdly, sadly you can’t even protect yourself in places like California,NewYork and Chicago. You know, it’s gun free zones just for law abiding citizens. Criminals are welcome to carry with absolutely no consequences.
"Criminals are welcome to carry with absolutely no consequences." lets not say things like that. if we dont get things right, we have to get things right... " criminals by definition do not obey laws" is more in line with proper sayings
Leslie Nielsen? Maybe in the first part of his career in the 1950s as a serious actor, not his later success as a deadpan comedic actor after the "Airplane" movie. LOL. You meant Liam Neeson.
come on danny...you are ducking the question. you know what ppl mean if you feel safe or not. despite what the media said how dangerous nyc is now in 2024....compare to the 1980's and 1990's when i grew up as a kid in nyc....it is a cake walk. so give us your real opinion about safety in las vegas. do you feel you are safer in las vegas vs nyc or vice versa. i know in nyc, i'm not gonna walk all by myself in rough neighborhood such as harlem, east harlem, east new york, the bronx around 1 am, 2 am , or 3 am etc. if u do that...u are just looking for trouble.
Could you do a video on gun laws for a Las Vegas citizen.? Can I go into a casino with a gun? I prefer to go out in the morning and get back in at reasonable time. That’s my M.O
Thank you Danny for such great information, i' ve learned so much today!❤
Sun Tsu : Know your enemy and know yourself updated by DTM.
A gun in the hand is more protection than a whole police force if they’re not around.
Words of wisdom that will provide the awareness that we need. Thank you for sharing.
Very good advice, Danny. Thank you!
Good advice, but never just bring a knife to a gunfight !!😊😊

what did the young man end up doing? did he get on the bus?

Good job DTM!! Thanks for sharing, and I believe most people agree with you.
Living dangerously at the 211 is like Roulette....

Danny what you said makes sense to me.Words of wisdom!
Law enforcement is not here to protect anyone, it's their job to do paperwork after you've been victimized.
It's a hell of lot safer than ny city and you can CARRY!!!!!! Nuff said.
Great advice and enjoy the comedic part also. Thx
Danny this was a very well done video. It was very informative.
Absolutely perfect Danny😂😂😂😂
Remember when seconds count police are minutes away. 🤔
I dont depend on police for anything, except for directions, but even then, u never know!

do not say that, it is wrong: criminals have more rights and protections than law abiding citizens.

Well said Danny, well said👍👍👍👍👍
Security cameras provide a footage of how you protect yourself
Open carry is great deterrent don't let anyone tell you otherwise. 👍🏻👍🏾🇺🇲👍🏾👍🏻🇺🇲

Although very informative, this is possibly the only clip I’ve seen of you with no tap water 💦 💧
🌴😎🌈Aloha 🤙🏼
Living right on the Texas Mexican border is safer than any city in America.

50k gun down in US! Is it safe? Of cause it 's not.
Are you saying sins happen in Sin City?
Common Sense approach to what’s safe #wulffdendad
Security guards are not allowed to touch people because of liability. Those are the rules

When crime is SECONDS from happening the police are always MINUTES away!!!!
Always be aware of your surroundings. Never get so drunk that you become an easy target for a predator. Use a little common sense.

Las Vegas has nice areas and Bad areas it's all depends where you're at keep vigilance watch your surroundings.
If we listen to you, no one would go to Vegas ! but I'm aware of my surrounding at all times!
Thank you for keeping it R-E-A-L
It's not safe if you're addicted to gambling.
It's only safe inside casinos in Vegas. Free security.

You meant Liam Neeson.
Although, if Leslie was still alive (and 20 years younger), I could see him in a "Taken" parody!
@@JayShimoda LOL. The title would have been called "Fakin'"
It's only safe in a perfect world..or where Jesus went!
henderson is prob safest part lol
Not always… Like any major metro area there is violent crime anywhere and everywhere.

I told the truth
It’s safe if don’t go to places where you are not suppose to be, ie alll the tourist area…..common sense
There are plenty of condoms in Las Vegas so it is very safe is you use.

Dan , you have nothing to fear. You know kung Fu.😮😮😮😮😅Dan, you became a victim when you entered the Casino. They robbed you the minute you entered 😭
Dear Career Crminals, Leave Danny alone or the Mobster Lobsters will get you. Bag of Buffet. LOL
It’s always safe in Vegas ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good luck stealing money from DTM, he already gambled it all away.
Hola Danny
tazers !
I carry a potato peeler. And yes, it’s registered.
We know, you believe in guns!!!
that is nonsense. guns are not something to believe in, that is like saying believe in power drills and bits.
it is simply a weapon.
Why this video??? Is this video safe?? OMG 😆
