This is the original MotorWeek opening sequence, which ran from the show's debut on October 15, 1981 to May 26, 1987. For the first six seasons, MotorWeek was taped at Studio A at Maryland Public Television in Owings Mills, Maryland. The opening and closing theme music was composed by Baltimore native Don Barto, and later served as the opening and closing music for The Frugal Gourmet with Jeff Smith.👍
