The Dakota offered something that you couldn’t get anywhere for a long time p. A mid sized truck, an 8 foot bed, 4wd and a V8 without a full sized truck. Really was a hard to beat combo

This video brings back memories. On my first trip to America this was the hire car we had. I was only a kid at the time and I loved it. I’m not to sure about it handling like a European car though. I remember my Dad saying it felt like it had a dead horse nailed to the front of it because of its big engine. In Europe we didn’t have engines that big. If you know about European gas prices then you know why 😂.

This is honestly the best looking one of the 3. And ive had a few Blazers.. never a GMC.. GMC is the least desirable here IMHO, THIS ONE the most.. if you can forgive the AWD. 91-94 are the most handsome. SyTy has two doors.....

Had a 93-king cab LE with a V-6 for over 20 years. The most simplest to work on truck I've ever drove, the parts broke, you just fixed them and went on.

i love this body style-91-96 and you cannot find a v8 model for sale anywhere. if you happen to see one-it isnt there long even with hundreds of thousands of miles on it. just a great truck.

That synth trumpet has been etched in my memory. The logo is so quintessential early 90s. The font, the stripes, and the way it rotates onto the screen. As a kid, I wondered why they put a year on the end of the title when the title had "week" in it.

I've had a 95 dakota for 16 years. Been my work truck for 10 years for my small home improvement business. It's a v6 2wd automatic. Most reliable truck I've ever owned and super simple to fix for even novice mechanics which in my opinion adds to the reliability and longevity. Great looking and often over looked trucks that are capable of withstanding a lot of hard use for a long time.

The way Jaguar has lost the plot is a modern tragedy. Hopefully they begin to explore more of their history with old world craftsmanship so they can quit building soggy BMW's with Acura interiors, that look like any Honda on the outside, while failing to be in Honda's league when it comes to build quality. Point out a Jaguar from a distance and people think it's an Accord. Sit in a Jaguar and people think it's not as nice as the new Integra. Jags used to have jaw dropping, rich looking interiors, like baby Bentleys.

The 2003 was the year Dodge fixed all the issues of the past. The 2003 Dodge Dekota 3.9L Club Cab SLT was the best model. Of course, it came with other motor, transmission, and options. The bed was 6.5 ft, starting price was $21,000 that year up to $27,000. That was more than its bigger brother, The Ram. My 2003 model is known to get 350,000 to 400,000 miles out of motor and transmission. If maintained properly. It is July 6th, 2023, and my Truck runs and looks great. 152,252 miles. Patriot Blue/Silver. Fantastic Trucks. See if you can get 70,000 mile out of a new truck before major transmission and engine work. New 2023 vehicles are made to fail at 70,000, FACT!

There is no doubt the Series I 3800 is one of the best motors out there. It's just a shame it was usually put in ugly cars. One of the few good ones is the Regal coupe. The sedan is like a granny's car.

I thought that maybe, in '91, a 318 would have at least 200hp, but being an automatic, the torque is what is important since it will most likely never be revved over 4500.

I bought one of these and returned it. There is a 1/4mi driveway where I worked at the time. I floored it and was at 80+ before having to brake. I returned it 2 days later feeling like I would die driving it… felt like I was not in control at all. Bought a Camaro, and loved driving it because it did what I wanted, when I wanted it… no wishy-washy steering and suspension.

It's no wonder Cadillac nearly went away. These were interesting cars back then, but they were a failure before they ever hit the road trying to compare to the German and Lexus competition at the time. All this FWD performance nonsense was a complete waste of time end money, they should have went RWD from the start. I just feel terrible for Cadillac back then. Looking back at some of these cars is just painful how out of it they were.

It's amazing to me how modern this van still looks. Neither of the other Big 3 vans had received their redesigns/refreshes yet so it would be unfair to compare this to those 1970s relics. But; look at the full sized pickups of the early and mid '90s. They're still handsome, but, are clearly quite old. Same with literally every minivan on the market in '92, or even 2000. Yet, this Club Wagon still looks fresh. It's a timeless design.
