In today’s video I’m going to take you thrifting into Goodwill. I will show you some fun and interesting things I saw while thrifting as well as a small haul at the end of the video. I hope this video gives you some "Thrifting Inspiration”! :)
There are beautiful, unique and inexpensive second hand treasures just waiting for you. These items can be found at your local goodwill, Salvation Army and other thrift stores in your area. Thrifting can be a challenge but very rewarding and worth the hunt! Some of my favorite things to thrift for are home décor items, name brand clothing, vintage items and anything unique or handmade!

Hi Jessica, that was a Balinese meditating man wooden ball carving. Sometimes ppl put aromatic oils on the wood to fragrance their meditation space, but they're usually for sculptural decor and some are really big 🙏🌼

I found one by googling and the same sculpture came up as Orang Malu. Yes it is a man bent forward with his head in hands, meditating. Price was $79. 99
P. S. The one I found was much more human looking than that one. It was actually beautiful.

Ooooh I love Crabtree and Evelyn. When I lived in California a million years ago, they had a store in the mall. It smelled amazing shopping in there. Great find!

It was a beautiful item- simple yet beautiful. Those decorative gorgeous glasses are stunning- though would not usually be my style- those changed my mind. They would be beautiful with ice tea or Lemonade and I would feel like Royalty when using those. The hand creams all had great names that I bet smell really nice. I’m not familiar with the book,, but I’m old 😅 GREAT HAUL TODAY😊

Love the water carafe! What a great deal. That mid-century chair was amazing. Recently I bought a mid-century coffee table at Goodwill for $7. I brought it home and cleaned it up and oiled the wood portion. I took it to a local consignment store and it sold in less than a week for $100. $40 goes to local charities and $60 went to me. Not a bad $7 investment. Have a great rest of your week!

*hello my friend!* i went thrifting and got some odds and ends: i got a tiny Easter bunny ceramic figurine; 2 correlle dishes with a sunflower and blue and white gingham check border; 2 kids' picture books (they forgot to charge me for); 2 bib aprons for the friend i always buy them for ( that makes a total of 4 i got her this month); a Daniel Tiger talking trolley; a pretty, long sleeved throw-back-to-the-50s sweater (pale robin's egg blue with matching mother of pearl buttons); and a rustic looking small metal bucket i will fix up for Easter. *i love your purchases!* the mugs are beautiful, the lotions so nice and useful, and the coloring book! i am *so glad* that you are keeping your inner child alive and well, and that i am not alone in this endeavor! Love your treasures. Our GW is high on household or personal items. I love the lotions and the carafe..going to look for one at estate sales or GW. I loved the glasses..not my typical style but you will feel like a queen drinking out of those. At our Goodwill I did find a beautiful boho skirt..new with tags Calvin Klein…priced at GW for 9.99. I never pay attention to tag color but it was purple..color of the day so got for five and for some reason the tank top I got that day was Dress Barn..really good shape for 2.99. It was purple so got fir one dollar fifty cents. Usually all tees and tank tops are 4.29. But a lot of 24.99 items in ours that should be five to eight dollars. I enjoyed this today. Thank you .
Water carafe would be great bedside filled with distilled water for my CPAP. The cobalt pumpkin is a must have - as are most things cobalt!

I love the carafe you found, I’ve been keeping my eye out for one too. Can I share a story? I found dinner plates I really wanted and was happy, until I broke one while washing. For months I kept looking for its replacement (not wanting to pay $40 online) and finally found four for $1.49 each. I was elated! And found at same thrift store I found the first four! Ya just never know😜

Another fluke happened today. I was at the GW up by my work. Borderline retail TJ Maxx prices throughout (eg: last year got 2 coffee makers 5.00 each, they had one today and wanted 15.00 LOL), color tag sale is only good on clothing, and NO plastic bags for customers. They said you have to bring your own LOL. Great score on the coloring book. I would love to see the end result if you decide to put it in a shadow box. Glad to see you are still getting good deals.
Oh wow!! 😫😫😫 That has to be frustrating. Our Goodwills got rid of the plastic bags at the beginning of the year and they sell reusable ones for $0.99 if you want one. I ended up getting one. I think it's good and more stores should do that.👍

Hi Jessica. I think the sculpture was a seated man bent over with his head in his hands, at least that's what it looked like when you were turning it. You had a great haul. I especially like the bedside carafe. I went thrifting today and found lamps for my bedroom. I had been looking so long that I almost gave up and bought something new. Worth the wait and definitely a bargain.

The bald headed man sitting cross legged and has his head bent and in his hands is called a weeping Buddha. He is weeping for all the pain in the world. They are usually carved in wood and made in the Philippines or Indonesia. Yours looks to be sculpted in stone. Google "weeping Buddha" and see some examples. Love your videos. Hugs!

The prices seem higher than usual at your store today. The pumpkins at 03:38 were $1.25 at Dollar Tree last fall. $1.98 "used". The Jem coloring/activity book is a great find.

Baking banana nut bread (with carob chips for extra measure) helps to keep my spirits up, so finding the perfect glass casserole bakeware at a Sal Army last week was such an unexpected blessing!😁 Prices are on the rise even at Sal Army (resellers are less discreet nowadays), so shopping there will have to be a once in a while treat.🤷🏽♀️. If I were you, I would make a formal complaint at that Goodwill about them writing the prices on the pieces in permanent marker. Some of the pieces are ruined, in my opinion, because of this practice. They should use pricing stickers.
Hi Lynn, thank you so much for watching! They do this at all the goodwills in Southeast NC. It's been something they have done for years and years and years. I'm sure many people have said something but they're not going to change. Actually I've never had a problem getting the marker off of anything I've ever purchased. It's actually much easier than getting sticky price tags off. I think it looks much worse than it actually is. 👍
