    I ended up here because I'm interested in one of these guitars. I liked the Yamaha Trans-Acoustic but it has much fewer features. I really like the additional capability of these HyVibes... But if I buy one and it has issues, I'm shipping it to YOU! Your attention to detail and precision and your explanation to the viewers are just great! Keep it up.

      A few months ago, I heard that Hy Vibe was soon going to be releasing the next generation of this system. I have not followed, and I don’t know if this came to fruit, but if that’s what you are in the market for, you should at least know about it.
      A few people watching the videos on this channel have asked me if they could ship their guitars to me.
      Unfortunately, I am not able to service any guitars that way. I am a tiny little shop in a really big city and I’m located right inside of an established music studio. As it is, I am actually turning down more than 50% of local work, as there simply is not enough time in the day to do it all.
      Also, I have fixed quite a few guitars that were damaged in shipping despite being adequately packed. Shipping is a big risk and it is just an added liability.
      I’m really sorry I cannot be of help in this case. I do appreciate the thoughts, so thank you.

    I'm on my third one because of warranty issues-- the first one came with the electronics rattling around in the body, the second one would not charge, and now the third one I got (all within the span of 3 weeks) has the same issue-- a warramty battery is on it's way to me. It's a beautiful guitar and sounds great without the effects, but I am incredibly disappointed in them.

      It’s really difficult for manufacturers to keep up with the quality. They have to hire people, obviously. They have to hire someone, otherwise no work gets done. And sometimes people who get hired are not as competent as they present themselves to be during the job interview.
      Hope it all works out soon for you.

    MADE IN CHINA??? Very dissappointing to see so much distortion in a relatively new instrument. I was thinking about buying one as well because of its electronic features. Several people have given me mixed reviews. I live 250 yards from the pacific in a tropical country. Life for musical instruments here is hard at best. Thanks for your very informative video and absolutely stellar craftsmanship!

      I think guitar manufacturing is a very difficult industry. Gibson, Fender and Martin are the three legacy brands, but to be honest Martin has a lot more issues than Lag.
      Interestingly, in the case of this guitar, HyVibe (not even Lag, which is the manufacturer of the actual guitar) did take care of the customer and paid me in full to do the service on the Lag guitar. I was surprised they would be paying for the service, as the guitar was not even made by them. Or perhaps they are two different branches of the same company.
      I have seem Martin guitars that are literally falling apart. Not just one or two. Many of them. Some vintage ones, some old ones, some not so old and some right out of the case. I've seen a brand new Martin that was over $14,000 and had a neck heel separation that was sprayed over with lacquer, at the factory. I guess no one noticed.

    29:58 where can I purchase that dial? Great Video

    • @GuitarQuackery
      @GuitarQuackery  Год назад +1

      This is a standard dial indicator, that you can buy on Amazon. The attachment is something I made on my own on my milling machine. But I also had to do a mod to the dial indicator, as the spring is otherwise too strong.
      However, I basically copied the StewMac tool, which they call, the Nut Slotting Gauge, item #12203.
      Hope this helps.

    Very interesting video, but I am horrified at how poorly built a guitar that costs more than €1000 is sent from the factory to the customer... I actually wanted to buy one of these models, that's why I came across this video, now I will I'll think three times about whether I do that. Otherwise, it raises the question of whether these carefully built guitars still exist at an affordable price. Which brands are recommended and still affordable for normal people?

    • @GuitarQuackery
      @GuitarQuackery  10 месяцев назад +1

      To be clear, the guitar in the video is the product of two companies. The actual Guitar is built by LAG but the electronics are a product of HyVibe.
      In this case, HyVibe paid for warranty repair services of the actual Guitar. I’m sure we all agree that was very generous, since that company did not even build the guitar.
      Every guitar should be evaluated separately. Even guitars of the same make and model.

      I have a Lag T200ACE built in China but shipped from France. In time, the bridge cracked along the front line of the saddle. Finding bridge and saddle parts for this guitar in the USA seems impossible, and the peg holes for generic parts do not align. The string span at saddle is 2 inches. Any suggestion? I lived in Illinois when ordered but now live in Hawaii. A repairman removed the bridge, glued it together and put it back on with an ill fitting bone saddle and returned it to me with total neck relief(he will never touch it again).

      @@donaldelder1368 That’s a really tough situation. The only logical option I can think of is to work with a competent repair tech. I hope this resolves in a positive way for you.

    I bought a hyvibe for $1200+, and shortly afterward, it started fretting out badly, and the battery won't hold a charge. I saved up for 2 yrs to get it now it just sits in the corner 😢 very disappointed

      Just to clarify some important points.
      HyVibe is the company that makes the electronic gadget that goes inside of an acoustic guitar. They do not make actual guitars.
      They have a contract with Lag guitars and they sell Lag guitars with a preinstalled HyVibe system.
      Any mechanical issues with the guitar, such as fretting out has nothing to do with HyVibe, as they did not build the guitar.
      In this video, HyVibe was helpful enough to actually pay me for a warranty repair of the Lag guitar.
      As far as the battery goes, have you contacted HyVibe for a warranty claim?

    Bonjour, je viens juste d'acheter la Lâg Hyvibe 30 et je trouve que sur certaines frettes vers le milieu elle bourdonne si je n'appuie pas assez fort sur la corde et en voyant votre vidéo je pense que je vais demander à un ami qui a quelques outils de regarder mais merci beaucoup pour le partage 👍 évidement je me suis abonné à votre chaîne

      I'm actually getting mixed reviews on the phone calls.
      One customer, early on, told me that he really likes the phone, as it adds a unique feel to the videos. Another viewer expressed a similar sentiment. But there was also another comment, at some point, that expressed the opposite.
      The phone calls are not in every video, though. But I guess I'll keep them for now, as I am trying to present the content in a different way. They are brief, though.

    Have a same LAG guitar as the second one that you have had in the shop. After one year playing on it the neck warped itself and the guiar is now almost unplayable. Buzzing sound, wrong intonation etc.
    All LAG guitars are garbage

    • @GuitarQuackery
      @GuitarQuackery  Месяц назад

      I have very limited experience with LAG guitars. I will always evaluate each guitar separately, regardless of make & model. But I'm sorry to hear about your experience.
