And though my next reading may not come for a while, I know that I can always think back to your videos and smile. I've yet to listen to the "Tales of the Lost Narrator" but I can tell that it might be heavy. You helped make this year be a bit more barrable for hundreds, if not thousands. I love how the idea of permanence in the lyrics, especially considering how the Lost Narrator series ended. SPOILERS AHEAD In the end, where CurseWord is somehow given a second chance with Mag, but she has to live with those haunting memories of what she had done and what was done unto her. Hence “unending days and restless nights,” and the overall title of the song “Forever Lost.” Sure, Curse was given a second chance, but, from that point on, she has to forever live with the PTSD-inducing memories of Ink Dye’s manipulation and utter torture upon Curse and Mag (psychologically and physically) how Mag used her to get back at Ink, and, of course, the many lives Curse took using her power. But, that’s just my take on it! Overall, it’s a beautiful song that, in my opinion, captures the tone of the Tale of the Lost Narrator series perfectly.
Ok, I definitely wouldn’t say it’s better than the original. After all, Rihanna is a professional singer; I don’t think it’s fair to compare Lost’s and Magpie’s singing with that of Rihanna’s. It’s a fun, cute little parody, don’t get me wrong; I’m not trying to shame anyone for enjoying this, nor Lost and Mag for making it.
